Good WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY MORNING Everyone:wave:

I just got back from my walk/jog. Still hard going but I managed a bit better time than Monday, did the 4.5 miles in 52 minutes flat. Worked up a nice little sweat as it's getting warmer here, highs near 80 today. Now I have to go get ready to get my parents to take them up to Broward to p/u their new wheels, may run around a bit before heading home to pick up the kids, don't have all that much to do today.

Thanks to those who joined me in the chat room last night-always fun to talk to you, whether it be on the computer or via the telephone!:D

Hope WIW is good to you all, I'm waiting. I can tell you my fanny pack I walk with is really snug. I don't know if it's from being up on the scale OR from finally washing the darn thing and having some kind of shrinkage. I hope it's the later of the two;)

Sorry I don't have time to reply to everyone individually at this time, I have to go get in the shower and get ready. My DM has already asked what time I'll be leaving.

I'll check in with you all later today at some point. Please remember TOMORROW IS RECIPE DAY! So if you have any great SB LEGAL RECIPES you'd like to share with everyone, please, try to post them tomorrow on the NEW QUARTERLY BOARD THANKS!:D

Happy WIW Girls.

Hope the scale is good to you all today.

Enjoyed chat last night with Serene, Quilter and Deb and Ruth. It is fun actually carrying on a conversation.

My scale was not nice today. I was up 1.5 lbs. Don't know why. Periods are all messed up. Don't know if it is mid cycle, beginning or end anymore. I even walked 3 miles and worked out last nite. No need for excuses just do the right thing and hopefully that scale will move.

Gator, Thanks for the explanation on Alabama's elephant. BTW, I don't think I like the new uniforms Florida is sporting. Good game last night. I just hope we are ready for you all Monday.

Trish, I hope your son wasn't hurt on that window. That's why they call them accidents.

Fillise, Thanks for the ind epth explanation. I will print it out and give it to all that questioned it. Pretty interesting. At least their name has reason.

Maemae, You are adorable and your kiddos are precious. Deb was telling us at chat how cute and young you were. It sure doesn't look like you have any weight to lose. Braylee looks like you.

Quilter, I read your post and all that came to mind was how well you handled your frustration. I am so proud of you. Jornaling has really helped you with your mind set. Keep up the great work. The USPS can be frustrating all the way around (I hope no one works there). I hate it when someone tells you they will be there and they aren't. That's the government for you. Yes we will definately plan for a meeting this summer. I can't wait to mee t you.

Fruit, Man I can just feel the excitement and motivation in your posts. Between you and Quilter, there is so much positive energy. It has to be contagious. Great going on passing up the do-nuts and other junk. You are on the right track. Next WIW will show a real loss. Sorry about the ballgame last nite. I thought LSU was going to do it for awhile.

Sef, Hope your DG is feeling better today. How scary. I have never had food posioning, but I hear it's no fun. Hope you ahd DD can get some rest today. It's raining in Ky today.

Heartmom, I wouldn't count and orange and yogurt as cheating. It could have been alot worse. Today is a new day.

Gracious, WTG on shedding those pounds. Did you cut them off? The scale is so fickle. I always try to remember the article Deb posted about it. That's why I only weight once a week and hope that that day is not a fickle day.

Toni, WTG onthat 1 lb. I'm waiting for you. It is raining here too. Much better than snow. Glad you can finally get out of the house and get some food in. I need to do the same. My goal was to be out of the 160's by end of Jan. Guess I'll shoot for 155 by end of Feb.

Got to get busy here. Will check back after lunch to see all the great losses.

Have a great day.

Good morning to all......

Music Teach- What part of the state are you in??

Trishaloo- We were just up in your neck of the woods... Ex-inlaws live in New Braunfels.

Monet and Linworth- The cheesecakes sound wonderful.....yummy.

Quilter- I really don't have any crafty-ness in my past. My step-mom is a WONDERFUL quilter and has made quilts for the babies. Since I have been taking soooooo many leaps lately I think I might enroll in a quilting class.....

Deb- Thanks for posting my pics...I also like to put a face with a name.

Heartmom- You can do it....I fell of the wagon but i'm starting new again. How's Boogie??

Jackk- Thanks for both compliments....Of course you notice that I was sitting on my rear !!!!!!!! I really do have 40 pounds to loose. That was taken at Halloween and I was around 180.

Thanks again for the congratulations !!!!!!!!!!

Have a good day

Hi All - Checking in for WIW - Lost a few pounds (last weigh in I was 267) and still truckin' along - work is busy, home has been busy because I had to roll the leased vehicle into financing...yuch, why did I ever lease! hahaha - but the payment is astronomically low and so I am very very happy! So between all of that and catching up on things I missed because I was sick - I have not had time to be on the board...

So hello to all and congrats to all you losers and next week will be a better week for those struggling!

HiedieHo All!

Okay just probably have only a few minutes. Perhaps GD didn't have food poisoning as doctor suggested. DIL is sick today with the same symptoms!. GD is feeling better but not up to school.

FILLISE: Am not taking time to send personal msg. Obviously I'm not going anywhere today. I found the cat pattern as well as one I made years ago for my DD, a clock. easy to make. DD still uses it. When our little epidemic is over will copy and send them to you.

Take care, Shirley

heartmom 01-29-2003 01:34 PM

Jack-k- I also had macaroni.

Maemae- Boogie is doing okay, he has a bad cold though.

WIW- still the same. Thank goodness it wasn't a gain. I'm at 212, still 2 pounds above what I was at the beginning of the month. I had yogurt and an orange for breakfast, drinking water. Lunch will probably be a big salad and some kind of protein-thinking about some smoked sausage. Not a whole lot to choose from because I need to go to the grocery store. I need to get off this computer and make sure Boogie didn't pee in his underwear(potty training) and do my exercise tape. C U guys later!

Hi,

I had a wonderful weekend with my daughter and since we shopped until I about
dropped, I felt that I had gotten in a good workout. HA!

I have been working on getting a second opinion on the surgery on my collarbone but it
is taking time to get the appointment. I have one set up for Feb. 7th and that seems a
long way away at this point. I am mentally prepared (and more than ready) for the
surgery and hope to have it all over with by mid Feb. My daughter will come back to
take care of me...she is do dear. I am hoping that there is not much to take care of.

Maemae: Many congratulations on getting the job. I can feel your excitement from
Dallas. Such a cute pictures of you and Braylee and Cody!

Trishaloo: Hi. I am sorry about your son. I hope that he was not hurt in the accident.
Good for you finding the agave. When I come down, maybe we can visit some of your
favorite legal places.

Quilter: Good for you for continuing and working through a difficult situation. It is
interesting about what triggers us to want to instantly eat. My most difficult time is
when there is an injustice being done.....like your problem at the post office. I get so
frustrated that I want to dig in.

Sef: Oh, your poor granddaughter...an d now your DIL! Please let us know how they are doing. I hope you don’t get whatever it is also.

I will need to catch up later because I must run for an appointment.

Serene 01-29-2003 01:39 PM

Thought I'd try to get in a quick post while I'm filling in for the receptionist while everyone is at lunch. Hopefully, the phones won't keep me too busy.

As usual, I'm so far behind on reading posts so will just have to say hello to everyone. I'm sorry to be so inconsistent with being on the board lately but I feel so overextended that I've just been too tired at night to get on the computer for very long.

Deb, Kim and Jackie, I sure enjoyed gettig to chat with you all for a few minutes last last. You ladies make chat so much fun and lively!

I forgot to weigh before leaving home this morning so I'm not sure where I'm at. I had gained a few pounds last week due to some stress eating, but think I'm back down this week. I will just have to do a Thursday weigh in and will report it, whether it be good or bad.

Well, things are getting busy so I have to run.

Take care,
Wendy

Ya'll I have a quick question. Where do I find Agave nectar? I was just at Whole Foods and they couldn't help me. And what exactly do I use it for??

Trishaloo 01-29-2003 02:26 PM

Hey there everybody.

Well for anyone who's interested in the great glass breaking trauma from yesterday, it all worked out. Seth was not hurt bad, just a lot of little scratches. Joe called the mom and told her to get the window fixed and send us the bill. Seth and her son are the best of friends and spend all of their time at either our house or their's, so we have a pretty good relationship. She said absolutely not, that her son was just as much to blame because they were really just horsing around. Seth was knocking on the window and it broke. We did get her to agree to a work release program so that he can repay his debt to society. I think that both of them are in for a lot of leaf raking, weed pulling, etc. Then we had to have the longggggg talk with Seth about how lucky he was and how he could have been really hurt, etc. I think he did finally learn his lesson.

Well, I just had to take a break and look at one of my clients Super Bowl pictures that he just emailed me. He was in a Corporate Box with John Travolta and the CEO of Disney.

Joe and Jordan are both sick today. I know Jordan is sick because he doesn't dare want to miss school and have to take his finals. If they have a high enough grade and have less than 2 absences then they are exempt from taking final exams.

Guess I better scoot. Have a good day everyone.

Trish

WIW newbie and a (?)

Well this is my first WIW. Mt hubby and I started SB 01/20/03 a week and a half ago. I was at 320 and as of today I am around 314. Probably mostly water weight to start off with.

I was wondering if any of y'all experts know any alternatives for cornbread. It would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!!

Good afternoon,

Just got back in the office from a safety meeting at the race track again. I keep missing my mid morning snack when I'm out there. Luckily got back just in time for my lunch hour. We watch a soap opera during lunch so we go at a set time.

Susan, is that pop-up blocker you use a separate program? Did you just buy it at the store?

Mammae, Keep on this WOE and you will see that 40 lbs gone in no time. Check for agave at your Health Food Store. Use it as a sweetner. It's like honey. Great for baking. Great in Deb's cheesecake. SOme people sweeten their tea and coffee with it. I beleive you can also order it on line.

Tranquil, we were just asking Serene about you last night at chat. WTG on those 3 lbs. So you are so busy. Hope you have more time to post. My DD leased her car and she wishes she didn't too.

Sef, I hope yu don't catch whatever your DD and GD have.

Heartmom, Glad the macaroni didn't make you gain. If you hadn't had all your carbs for the day, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yellow. I think shopping should count as exercise. Afterall, all those packages could be considered weight training. I think you should get a second opinion on your collarbone. Maybe you really don't need the surgery afterall.

Trish, Glas Seth was seriously hurt. Probably more scared than anything. GOod idea about the work program. Just don't make him do too much stuff. Must be that flu bug flying around. Hope your boys are better soon.

Have a great day.

Jackie

Weighing in with a question

How much should one allow for PMS bloating? I weighed myself over the weekend and saw that I'd gained three pounds, but I am expecting Aunt Flo to stop by for her monthly visit on Friday 1/31, so those three pounds may be water weight. :?:
I'm trying out the recipes and they are so good. Had some of the chicken salad for lunch today--:T
I'm also very proud of myself for ignoring the siren call of a cake in the break room at work. :bravo: Every time someone has spare food, they share it and once the word goes out that there's something in the break room, well, it's like throwing a French fry on the beach. And my office is right next to the break room! However, I didn't not go and grab a piece of cake. :cp: Maybe there is hope for me yet! :^:
