Default How many carbs allowed per day?

What does SB suggest your carb intake be under per day? I realize there is to be no added sugar but fruits have carbs as well as WW breads and pastas.

TIA
Michelle

3 STARCHY CARBS/DAY

you don't need to actually count the numbers but i think i recall reading 25-30 carbs/day in the Sugar Bust for Life by the Brennans.

I bought some WW Pasta today. It has 34G in just 2 oz! I was under the impression WW pasta was better due to the fiber. That is more than regular pasta has!

Can you set me straight? I thought I understood. (I even have the book) Now I am confused! Is WW Pasta a stachy carb?

TIA
Michelle

Michelle,

With Sugar Busters it does not matter what your carb intake is. Sure, you cannot eat only bread and pasta, but the focus is on sugar. When you watch your sugar, your carbs naturally go down and you lose weight. As fo pasta and WW, I do not know if the pasta is whole wheat or not, but do not worry about the carbs, it is the sugar that is important. The whiter the more sugar. Sugar creates weight.

You don't count carbs on SugarBusters. You DO watch the Glycemic Index of foods. that is why white flour, white potatoes, sugar, pineapple, watermelon, corn and beets are not allowed. They all have a high glycemic index. When reading labels, remember that anything that has more than 3 grams of sugar per serving is not ok, and anything that has enriched flour, or enriched wheat flour, is not ok. You want to find products that are made with 100% whole grains.
