  • Here's my exercise for today...
    Hello... I'm NOT a runner... I've always wanted to be, but I've always hated it, even when young & thin... We have a family membership at the local YMCA, and in September, my 15-yr.-old daughter and I started working out several times a week. We normally do weight training twice a week and kickboxing twice a week. Lately I've been slipping a bit... No, a LOT. I was so frustrated by that long stall that I lost motivation (Why am I doing this if it's doing nothing?) I know that's a stupid way to think, but it's honest...

    Tonight Rachael & I went to "upper body" class--weights--it's a 55 min. class that works out the upper body & abs.

  • I'm setting a goal of exercising 5/7 days. Yesterday I ran a mile, walked a mile, back and biceps weight training, and 160 crunches.
    I feel like I need help with my lifting since I'm not sure I'm lifting enough. Your class sounded good Kelly-maybe I'll look for a class after the holidays.
  • I haven't really been posting here. I'm going to try and do that to make myself more accountable to my exercise. Last night went to Curves for 1/2 hour.
  • WEDNESDAY
    Did my 4.5 miles today
  • THURSDAY
    Gosh is it hot out there today! Almost didn't go, went and almost turned right back, but pushed myself and did my 4.5 miles in 54:35, thought it took me longer, I felt like I was going so slow!
  • Forgot to post yesterday...
    I didn't work out today, but I did go to my wt. training class yesterday (Wed.). Instructor was a sub--she was good! During the 3 weeks before I went on SB, I wasn't going to the Y at all. I thought I'd be sore, but I'm just a bit sore. You know, the kind that feels like you got a good workout, but not where you are in PAIN!
  • Weight class sounds excellent. Yesterday I did a Firm video, and today I did Kathy Smith kickboxing video. It's been bad weather for exercising outside. I'm trying to exercise at least 5 out of 7 days.
