OMG...I just took a self-assessment test from the Lucinda Bassett website and this is what they said about me. Uncanny how accurate it is...especially the crying part:

Good afternoon ya'll. We are all feeling SO much better. Thank you for your prayers. It is wet and cold here so no new planting until next week.
Solly...I hope your tummy feels better soon. Do you have the heel problem always or just from time to time? Tech...I hope that Shelly continues to win her battle with anxiety. Toni...hang in there with the eating. You'll get back on track. Winter is hard for everybody I think. A lot of the foods that are tasty when it is warm are not pleasant in winter. I love a good salad but when it's freezing I don't want lettuce I want things that warm my tummy. :) Meowee..WTG eating OP. :carrot: :carrot: :D ((Everybody)) Stay strong this weekend...you are worth it. God bless, Crystle |
Hi Sugar Shakers
Were is everyone today,,,,,,Happy Saturday:hug:
Well, my rotator cuff is torn 60% through :( Due to my age, the DR recommends surgery. He said therapy would not work, and remainder of piece will eventually pull apart. Dr gave me a cortizone shot, and that has helped the pain, and I can lift my arm better. ;) I just have to be careful I don't use it too much and tear the remainder out. I go back to work on Monday, and have to tell them I again need another surgery, and will be off 8 weeks.... this is my 5 operation in 12 years of working my job. Crystle = glad everyone is better  How is you Mom doing? Have a great Sunday..... Meowee = you are doing great, eating OP. Keep up the good work. Glad it is sunny eventhough still cold. :dizzy: Tech = hope Shelly is coming along and you can get some answers for her. Is that really you ? I will have to try that sight, sounds almost like me. Keep the faith, as my Aunt Grace always said. Toni = hope you are doing and feeling better. Keep your chin up, sometimes it is just hard to stay focused......Blessings  Ellen = so glad thing went well with your new MD. Medicine can really affect how you feel and act. Hoping this is the start of an upward trend. Take Care. Solly = Are you doing better? Sleepy better? Sure hope so. Blessings and Happy Sunday to All :carrot: |
Good evening; Made a really good homemad pizza for dinner. Used candian bacon, mushrooms, onions and cheese for the topping. Also made Steve some cream cheese rollups that he loves. I'm still tired today from yesterdays shopping trip. But tomorrow I have no excuse for not doing the laundry. Hope everyone is having a good week end.

Hi there . . . :grouphug:
Wow, I'm still eating well. The carbs did sneak up a bit too high for a couple of days, but the calories have remained 'in range'. Sometimes I amaze myself. Haven't seen any further scale movement in the past couple of days though -- might be connected to the carb overages. BUT . . . I have faith . . . in fact, I have faith in us all. We can do this so long as we just continue to do our best as much as possible, Chickies. I also have faith in Mother Nature -- we are having another mostly sunny day and the temperature is expected to sneak up to slightly above freezing. Not exactly Spring-like yet, but eventually it will show up. Have a great rest of the weekend, gang . . . :carrot: |
Read this article on Agave on another board and thought you guys might be interested as I know several of you use it and are diabetic.
I bought some agave nectar to use for sweetener and it really is good but then I decided to research it. I really should do the research first. It is not good for you espcecially if you are a diabetic. "High fructose from agave or corn will kill a diabetic or hypoglycemic much faster than refined white sugar," says Mr. Bianchi. "By eating high fructose syrups, you are clogging the veins, creating inflammation, and increasing body fat, while stressing your heart. This is in part because refined fructose is foreign to the body, and is not recognized by it." "Without the FDA making efforts to enforce food-labeling laws, consumers cannot be certain that what they are eating is even what the label says it is. New sweeteners like agave syrup (refined fructose) were made to coin a profit, and not to help or assist vital health. Due to the lies from many companies who sell agave syrup (refined fructose), you have been led to believe that it is a safe and a natural sweetener. The retail refined agave syrup label does not explain that it goes through a complicated chemical refining process of enzymatic digestion, which converts the starch into the free, man-made chemical fructose that has a direct link to serious the degenerative disease conditions so prevalent in our culture. While high fructose agave syrup won't spike your blood sugar levels, the fructose in it will cause: mineral depletion, liver inflammation, hardening of the arteries, insulin resistance leading to diabetes, cardio-vascular disease, obesity, and may be toxic for use during pregnancy. to read the article go to: www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2008/11/1 7/ agave_nectar_the_high_fructose_health_ food_fraud.htm |
Happy Monday Ladies!
Actually, It isn't so bad for a Monday. Woke up at 5:00 and got up and went to the gym. Didn't mind getting up or working out. For a Monday that is unusual. Could only do upper body as my foot is worse. We went to dinner Sat night and DH let me out at the door and I stepped out onto the curb so he could pass. When I did my foot slipped off the curb and I pulled that tendon even more. I grabbed onto the car as not to fall and Dh pulled off. I don't know what saved me from falling on my face. It was all I could do to hobble to the door of the restaurant. Went home and sat in the hot tub with my foot on the big jet hoping that would help. Spent most of yesterday sitting after hobbeling through the grocery. It is some better but not much. I am so mad as it is supposed to be so nice here for the next couple days and I could get out and walk at night. I don't see that happening. Thought about going to get a cortisone shot tp see if that helps. I may have to do that. Eating sucked over the weekend, but I am back on track today and trying very very hard to stay there. Meowee, you are an inspiration. You are doing so good. Keep up the good work. Toni, Your pizza sounds good. I can sometimes find ww crust at Meijers and I load it it up with mushrooms, onions and peppers. We had pizza last night but from the pizza place :no-no: Candoit, I am so sorry you will have to have surgery. Hope your employer is sympathetic. Tech, I hope Shelley can get some help from the tapes and the nurse. It helps to have someone that has gone through the same thing. That post from the tapes sounds a lot like me too. Crystle, glad you are feeling better. No, the foot thing is something that just can pop up with anyone. Apparently it is caused from walking on concrete, bad shoes, overweight, etc. I have had it once before but a long long time ago. Funny thing is, 4 out of the 8 ladies in my bunco group have it and they have been talking about it for months. I didn;'t have it, so I swear I caught it from them. Ha-ha. The bad t hing is, it takes forever to get better and I am not a patient person. Ellen, hope you had a good weekend. We are missing you. Better get my day started here. Have a great one! |
Hi . . . :grouphug:
I'm one of those Diabetics and I have honestly never even tried Agave Nectar. Must admit to sticking mostly with Splenda which has a slightly (only slightly) better reputation than some of the other artificial sweeteners. Seems to work okay for me. Nothing too exciting around here -- it is School March Break week and I do have a few places I have to go. Everywhere will probably be clogged with small kids. At least the sun is shining again so maybe the nice day will keep some of them busy outside although it is getting colder rather than warmer around here again. Silly high temp is not expected to get about the low 20's. Hope you have fun things on the go on this Monday. . . :carrot: |
Good afternoon
Considering our weekend eating has been okay. We lost my father in law to cancer Sat. night. He fought very hard for two years.
The sun is out today and it is beautiful. Hopefully it will dry things up for weekend planting. We did get some new babies Sat. We got two goslings and 6 chicks. The one gosling is an african and the other is going to be your typical white goose. I have no idea about the chicks. They only had straight run so I put my name on a list for some pullets when they come in. I may order some before then I haven't decided for sure. They are in the den but we'll be moving them out under the heat lamp very soon. Solly..I'm so sorry that your foot is hurting. Praying that it doesn't' take too long to heal. I found the article interesting but I still prefer agave over sugar. I've read some good and some bad reviews. Daily I actually use a Stevia product for my tea. I need to get my booty off the computer. ((Everybody)) God bless, Crystle |
TOP O' TH' MORNIN' to ya . . . Hope the day brings a :goldpot: to each of you -- but do try to stay away from that green beer. Far too many carbs. Speaking of green beer -- the bars in Halifax opened at 7 am this morning and the patrons were already lined up to get in. :yikes:
It's another nice and sunny but cold day around here and I guess I'll throw on some green clothing and make another trip to town for a couple of things I forgot yesterday. The ice in the harbour is starting to break up and I saw three beautiful bald eagles cruising the open area looking for fish yesterday as crossed the Causeway -- actually gives me hope that Spring will really, really get here. Have a great day . . . :wave|: |
Hi ladies,
Day 2 of OP eating  Foot is some better. Rolled it on a frozen water bottle for a couple hours yesterday and stretched the muscle with a beach towel for about an hour last night. it has seemed to help. Slowly. Crystle, Deepest sympathy on the loss of your FIL. He is at peace and no longer suffering. I hope your family finds some peace in that. Meowee, We Irish like to celebrate St Paddy's day. Heck, I know some that think it is a holiday. Friday is the first day of spring so it is coming. Have a great day. Off to vote for dancing with the Stars  |
Good morning
It's a bit foggy this morning but we are promised awesome weather after it burns off. I'm looking forward to the sunshine. We went to the store the other day and bought some awesome veggies to help make good eating easier. For lunch I think I'm going to make some asparagus, mushrooms, spinach, onion and bean sprouts. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
Solly...Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm so glad your foot is doing better. ((hugzz)) Meowee...too cool! I'd love to see a bald eagle. We have an owl that visits from time to time and I really enjoy watching him...or her..LOL Toni...Ellen....Sue...Mary...Tech...((Hugzz)) God bless, Crystle |
Good afternoon and Happy St. Pat's Day :goldpot::cupgold: I've got a cornbeef, cabbage and some potatoes in the crockpot for tonight. My DH will be in heaven. Hope you're all having a good day. Its warm and beautiful here. I can feel spring on the way.
Meowee- Your weather sounds wonderful. You're doing so good!!! Congratulations. Solly- Good job girl!!! Hope the foot hurries up and gets better. Crystle- Your lunch sounded wonderful. I love veggies. Howdy Candoit and Tech.... |
Good morning ladies,
Today feels like a Monday instead of Wed. I did not want to get up and go to the gym last night, but I did. I am proud I did 30 minutes of cardio. I love strength training, but hate cardio. I need to find something I like. Still hobbeling around. it is smome better but I guess it will take awhile. Crystle, did you fix all those veggies mixed together. I love asparagus. Had some Monday for dinner. It was nice here yesterday and again today, almost 70. I love it. But I think the rain is coming tomorrow. Toni, I almost bought a corn beef at the grocery. I love it and love a Reuben sandwich too. Did you see the BL last night? I was glad Sione won the $10,000. I actually hate to see anyone go home this season as I like them all. The transformation of the ones that go home blow me a way. So inspiring. Now if I could only keep that picture in my head all the time, I would be fine. Got to get somem work done. I have bunco tonight and I plan to be so good. No dessert and only 1 glass of wine. Don't know what she is having, but if it is not low cal, then I am only doing half. Wish me luck. |
Hi . . .
Another sunny day and we may work up to above freezing temperatures, too. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy but quite a bit milder. We'll see. Had a major chocolate meltdown yesterday afternoon (darn those bunnies anyway). Just worked out my nutritional averages for the month so far and happy to say my 2286 total calories yesterday did NOT screw things up too badly. I'm still in good shape for the month. Average total calories are 1444 and percentages are running right on 40% carbs and 30% each for fat and protein. Sometimes you just get lucky I guess. Definitely cannot rest on my laurels though. I really, really want to be able to post a new decade by the end of the month. Right now I think I've had enough sugar to do me through April, too. :dizzy: Yes, I do believe in the 'cycling' philosophy whether you are tracking calories, points, or something else. I just don't think it needs to be all pre-planned. For me, and most of us (probably), it just seems to happen. Have a great day, gang . . . :carrot: |
Good afternoon
Howdy ya'll. Another totally beautiful spring day here in Texas. Lunch was SO good yesterday. I left out the bean sprouts but mixed all the other veggies together. My hubby said it was very delicious, so it passed the test. :) Today I'm thinking guacamole.
((Everybody)) Love and hugs, Crystle |
Good afternoon. Its been a beautiful day today. I went to a friends house for tea today. Tomorrow we're going to a huge salvage grocery store out of town. I can't wait to see it. Before I leave I'm putting chicken bones, celery, carrots, and other seasonings in the crockpot to make turkey soup for tomorrow night. I haven't tried it that way yet but think it will be good. Tonight is fish.
Solly- Yes I did watch BL last night and thought it was good. I was glad Sione won to. That was sure a strike of luck for him. I was so surprised Ron lost 10 lbs. It really is an inspiring show. Meowee- Sounds like me and the darn cookies I've had to battle with. Good luck with no more chocolate. Crystle- I need to be eating at your house. Yum.... |
Hi ladies, boy am I dragging this morning. Didn't get to bed until 11:30 and that alarm at 5:00 was way too early.
Meowee, you are doing great. The biggest thing is that you got right back on track and didn't let that one mistake blow your whole day or week. Toni, your soup sounds good. have fun at the store. Crystle, I would have to have some of those chips to go with the guacamole. to anyone that is lurking and all those MIA's. Have a great day  |
It's raining . . . but it's mild . . . the snow is melting and, of course, now you can start to see all the nasty, nasty litter along the sides of the roads -- I din't think there were this many Tim Horton's cups in the entire Province. :dizzy:
Nothing too exciting for me -- a little shopping and a little lunch with a friend. Ate well yesterday, so hopefully I can hold it together today, too. Have a great day, gang . . . |
Hello
Another beautiful day here. I didn't get to take a fast walk yesterday but I did get out and stroll with my mom. The guacamole came out great and I ate the whole bowl. :) For dinner I sautéed some butternut squash with a little onion. Oh my gosh was it DELICIOUS! Today for lunch I'm thinking something with broccoli, maybe with mushrooms.
Solly...I didn't have chips with the guacamole but I did have one chip later with some salsa. :) Toni...I'll be right over. I LOVE soup, especially turkey. Meowee...wtg getting right back on track. ((Everybody)) God bless, Crystle |
Its so pretty out today. My friend and I went to a big salvage store. They had a whole baking dept. Where I got stuff like gluten for bread making. If I had a grinder I could have bought my wheat there. They also had some lovely dried fruit. They also had the usual salvage groceries but I spent most my time in the baking dept. I'm sorry I didn't get get more grains for bread making. Its about an hour from here so hopefully I'll be able to go back again soon. We stopped and had lunch and it was horrible. But the day was fun and now I'm so tired. Got my pot of chicken and noodles made. I found homemade noodles in the bakery dept. too. So yum mo. I've taken a little nap in my chair so time to get busy..
Solly- Hope you feel better. I got up really early too, but I did get to take a nap. Meowee- Glad you're eating has been going so good. Hope you keep it up. Crystle- Your veggies sound so good. I love guacamole..... |
Well, it is officially SPRING and, the sun is trying to shine in northeastern Nova Scotia. There is **** in the forecast for Monday/Tuesday though. a lot can change between now and then, of course.
I celebrated the start of this glorious new season by removing the 'blankie' I tack over my westerly facing, and very drafty, sunroom door. As I sit here in front of it, I fear I may have jumped the gun a little; but it definitely looks more spring-like in here. May trot off to town later on just because I can but other than that I honestly have no plans for the day. How about you . . . any exciting 'vernal equinox' celebration plans? |
Good morning and Happy Spring! At last!
First of all I want to wish Ellen a very happy birthday and tell her to get back on here. Have a super day sweetie :balloons: :hat: Meowee, good job on your eating. We need to see if we can stand an egg on its end during the equinox today. Toni, I love shopping around in stores like that. Have a great weekend. Crystle, the squash and onions sound good. I may try that next time. I used to love squash and we ate it so much I am tired of it and it gets too mushy on the grill so I may try it your way. No big plans for the weekend, just the usual cleaning, etc. I am trying my hardest to have a good op weekend. Have a great one  |
Happy Birthday Ellen :balloons:
|
Howdy
Well, the tomatoes and various peppers are in the ground. I'm so excited because the feed store had two black krim tomato plants. They are a black tomato and are very tasty. The grape tomato plants already have blooms on them. :) We didn't get any mild peppers. The mildest would be the Anaheim peppers. I also started some seeds. My mother in law gave us some husked tomato and huckleberry seeds. Both are new to me so I'll be interested in seeing how they come out. The eggplants have sprouted so I'm hoping they will take. Today was also the first mowing of the season. I cheated and used the riding mower instead of pushing.
Toni...the salvage store sounds really cool. Have you used the wheat gluten before? I just got some the other day to add to my wheat recipe. I've never used it before but I'm hoping it will give me a little lift and make the bread a bit lighter. Solly...Hope you have a super OP weekend. You can do it! :) Ellen...Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meowee...I know you must be enjoying the improving weather. How long before you completely warm up? ((Everybody)) God bless, Crystle |
Hi Sugar Shakers
:carrot: Happy Saturday,
Ellen: belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY :dizzy: Solly: Hi and have a good OP weekend. Crystle: Your garden sounds wonderful. Such good things. And you got to mow grass for the first time:carrot: You lucky girl. That will be happening in a few weeks here in PA. Toni: Love that kind of shopping. Techmom: Hi, hope all is well. Well as for me :?: I have been on a really bad sugar and chocolate binge..2-3 chocolate bars and 1 or 2 Lance peanut bars a day...... Well, let me tell you, I woke up last night at 2 AM with the worst sick headache, sick in my stomach and didn't know whether to lay down, sit up, or walk around. My hubby is so nice he got me hot coffee and encouraged me. Finally I could lay down flat and feel asleep, after about a horribe hour. Well ;) needless to say, I am not eating any candy or chocolate, I learned my lesson. Don't have to hit me over the head with a brick, well just about:smug So today I take my daughter out for her birthday lunch and a movie...and last night while I had this headache I thought about the Friendly's Reeses pieces sundae we usually get, and I could have thrown up... So I will have to order healthy and don't even think about a sundae or sweet dessert:?: Needless to say I am up 7 1/2 lbs. I did go to the hospital for my preadmission and I told the nurse what I had one. I said just but my weight at 220 and forget the 212 1/2 I was at. Well I weighed this AM and I am only a glowing 217 1/2 lbs. I have my rotator cuff surgery on April 1st, what a joke. The cortizone has helped it will just feel really achy and tired. Well I've blabbered enough,,,,,,good to check in again, funny how you stay away when your BAD... Great Weekend to all, Sue |
Just a quick little HI . . . want to get out to play in the sunshine while it is here, even though it is still pretty cold. |
Good morning
I thought I'd pop in before the craziness of the day gets underway. It's a little nippy this morning but it should reach about 80 today. I'm pretty sure the swiss chard is starting to break ground. I say pretty sure because I haven't grown it before and it looks a little like grass. :) Eating has been good, exercise not so good, almost nonexistent. I really need to get moving. I'm soooo close to the 160's again.
Sue...I hear you about being bad. I used to run away a lot, but I think the key is to stick around even during the binges. It helps us to get back on track faster and keeps our damage down to a minimum. We all have our moments so it's good if we can share them together. I'm SO sorry that the shot didn't help your shoulder very much. Praying that it will be better soon. It's time to get moving. I hope ya'll have a SUPER weekend. God bless, Crystle |
Aw, thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! It was a ho hum day. I went out to lunch at the big farmer's market with a young friend. (they have a fabulous cafeteria there...and tons of veggies and weird stuff. So good!) The rest of the day went down hill. Tom came home feeling blah, and I felt blah, so we did not do anything. We went out for dinner tonight at a local place we have been meaning to try. It is in the old railroad station. The food was good. I got fried oysters...divine! I skipped the potatoes and had steamed broccoli and a steamed veggie medley that I hardly touched since it was mostly peppers and they just did not appeal to me. After dinner, we walked around the downtown area and stopped in at a pottery gallery and looked around. It was rather nice.
We are going to go down to south Georgia and clean out Tom's uncle's house with his mom next weekend. His uncle died a few months back and the house sold, so we have to get what we want out of it fast! It is going to be a major undertaking and I am not looking forward to it. We plan to replace our bedroom furniture with some of his, and I dread cleaning and moving everything in my room! (its a mess!) I need to go catch up on posts... :grouphug: |
Oh, and I walked Friday and today, did Wii Fit stuff on Monday and Wednesday and walked Tuesday.
Anyone else use Wii Fit? What a blast! It is SO much fun! They belong to my son in law, and when they move, I am going to want to go out and buy a Wii and the Wii fit set. TECH, I know you have it! Don't you? |
I slept very poorly last night and seem to be running on empty today in spite of having had a nap. Weather is taking a downward turn again -- supposed to snow tomorrow, oh joy. |
Yup...I have the WiiFit. I love it...when I can use it. Problem is that one has to commandeer the TV and get out the scale in order to use it. But I do love it when I can get to it.
Shelley's health has taken a turn for the worse again. Last Monday I took her to school and she was crying all the way there and asking to be taken to the hospital. So, I took her to school anyway and when we went it, the nurse took her by the arm into an exam room and said, "Goodbye, Mom!" and shut the door in my face. I waited there until the next period started in a conference room, bawling my eyes out. I checked in on her and she said she'd be okay, but had a massive headache, so I left, but still in tears. I felt terribly like I'd deserted her. Next day, I took her back and she was hyperventilating all the way in and she was a worse wreck than the week before. They managed to get her into first period, but she was a wreck. Problem is that when she gets going in school, she can mask how she feels so that everyone thinks there's no problem. On the outside, she's normal Shelley, but on the inside, she feels trapped in class and wants to run outside and get away. With Agoraphobia, one of the #1 fears is that you will have an attack in a place where you cannot escape from. They have told her that she can leave class without asking the teacher...but she doesn't want to because she'll leave, go to the nurse and she'll tell her she's fine and get back to class. After a day of holding in her panic attacks, she gets home and lets loose what she's been feeling inside and spends the entire evening hyperventilating and the night is spent having nightmares and the mornings are spent with her hyperventilating and with me having to assist her into the shower, sit in the bathroom with her because she feels like she's suffocating from the steam, help her get dressed, help her with her hair, try and get her to eat a few bites of breakfast and take her to school...all the while listening to her hyperventilate. Its horrible. She gets to school and puts on her game face and starts the cycle over again. So, I took her to the psychiatrist for her two week check up and he suggested she stay out of school for two more weeks and switched her medication. The principal is PO'd at this because, "When she's here, she seems totally fine...the teachers see no problem with her when she's here! I want her back at school tomorrow!" So, I told him to talk to my doctor. I feel exactly like a rope in a tug of war. The principal, who is worried about her grades, wants her there...whereas my family and my doctor think she should be home to let the new medication take its time to work. I've been exhausted to the point of feeling sick...and eating like a :moo: and growing out of my size 16s (for a while there a few years ago, I was a size 12). This is taking a huge toll on our whole family. I wish it would end soon. Okay...update over. I have to go sit with my coffee. TTFN!! |
Happy Monday
Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was so nice here. Sunny and warm. Eating was so so. Not as good as I wanted. Ellen, hope you are feeling all bette. Your dinner sounded nice. Glad you got to do something for your birthday. Tech, what a nightmare youa re going through. I pray you can find some answers and Shelley can starting feeling better. Crystle, that garden is going to be bursting at the seams. Everything sounds so good. Candoit, sorry the shot did not help much. what a day to have surgery. Meowee, sorry to hear snow is in your forcast again. When are you in the clear for sure. I apologize for any crazy typing. My keyboard is not working and I got another one and it doesn't work well either. Have a great day. |
Yep . . . it's snowing . . . and 10 to 12 inches is predicted. I have to go to the doctor this afternoon and to the dentist first thing tomorrow morning; so naturally the weatheris being totally uncooperative. At least I don't have far to go for either appointment.
We usually get at least one snowfall of some significance early in April, but that never lasts long. After that things are fine until Halloween. |
Good afternoon
Howdy ya'll. I just got in from the garden. Jess and I planted the okra, corn, big Jim pepper, green eggplant, zucchini, Thai basil, pineapple sage and sunflowers. There are still several things that we need to plant but I'm being lazy. :) It's suppose to rain tomorrow so what doesn't get done today will have to be done either later in the week or next week. I'm hoping I can get motivated and at least get the Burgundy beans planted. It is only a little seed pack. :)
Lunch was yummy...a combo of broccoli, mushrooms, bean sprouts, fresh ginger and fajita seasoning. I also had a few saltines...a no no but I didn't go too overboard with them. Solly...hope you get a decent keyboard. I know it's a pain to try to do your job with bad tools. Tech...My heart aches for Shelly. She is in a place I wish I couldn't relate to but it is familiar. ((Tech)) Hang in there. There is hope and I pray that God will give the doctors wisdom as they treat her and those people at school will soften in their view because it is obvious they can not relate. Ellen...WiFit sounds fun. I'd like the kids to be more active instead of just sitting playing games. Love and hugs, Crystle |
Just a lazy boring day around here. I did vacum the floor but have not done much of anything else today. I went to town and got the stuff for a taco soup tomorrow and stopped by a friends for a couple cups of green tea. And took a nap in my chair.
Ellen- I'll bet that wii fit is so much fun. Don't know if I could use it but sure would like to try. Tech- My prayers for you and Shelley. I can't imagine what you're going through. And poor Shelley. You're a good Mom. Solly- Oh dear you need a new keyboard fast. Hope you get it fixed..... Crystle- Wow I envy you getting a wonderful garden out. Mine all goes in pots but its just not time yet. Am going to get a pot of chives started this week. Sue- Hi hope you're doing well. Will send up a little prayer for your surgery. |
Hi Sugar Shakers
:carrot: I made it through my 2nd day of being sugar free and eating in calorie range. Didn't even get cravings :dizzy:
Used my arm too much on Saturday, so wore my sling on Sunday. Felt pretty good today. Surgery is April 1st :o Does that say anything about me? Toni - everyone needs a lazy day to catch up and rest. Don't feel guilty. Crystle - doesn't sound like your lazy by any chance. Your veggies sound sooooo good. Hope the rain is over soon, but your garden will grow. Tech - so sorry to hear about all Shelly is going through. Praying the meds will help and life can get back in order. Don't feel bad about keeping her out, there are always ways she can make up. Keep your chin up. Solly - hang in there and let the sun shine and brighten your day :) to all and keep on going on. Sue |
Good morning ladies. Still pounding on this stupid keyboard. Hope I get one ordered today.
Got to sleep in today b/c I have my trainer tonight. That extra hour felt great and was needed. Meowee, :fr: I can't beleive you are getting 10-12" of snow. I would die.I hope you make it to your appts safely. Crystle, Girl, lazy you are not You will be able to open your own produce market with as much stuff as you have planted. Toni, I'd like to have a day like yours, but I just don't have the disposition to do that. I'm up doing something on every commercial. Plus, my legs drive me crazy so can't sit too long. Enjoy. Candoit, don't overdue with your arm. You don't want to cause more problems before surgery. Congrats on 2 days OP. You can do this. We have a a bid today so I better get started. Have a great op day. |
No problem with getting to and from the doctor yesterday but I cancelled this morning's dentist appointment. It is ugly, ugly, ugly out there. Snowing and blowing to beat the band and I wouldn't be suprised if my end of the Province man ages to surpass the foot of snow that has been predicted. Hopefully this will be the last nastiness for this season. Anyway, definitely a good day for an afternoon nap, I think . . . :lol3: Hope the rest of you are having pleasant weather. :grouphug: |
Good afternoon
We got some much needed rain yesterday and hopefully we'll get a little more tonight. Several of the herb seeds are starting to sprout in the flower beds.
I had the best breakfast this morning. I cooked some breakfast sausage with onions, bell peppers, serrano pepper, celery, garlic and extra sage. Then when that was done I added some cubes yellow squash and zucchini. After it was done I topped with a little Parmesan cheese. We're gonna take the leftovers and mix with some rice tomorrow for dinner. I love when one meal can become two. Solly...I pray that it all grows well so I can share with my family and my church family. I can't think of anything more fun than sharing. Sue...WTG with two days under your belt. That's the way to do it...one day at a time. :) I'm sorry that your shoulder is bothering you. Continuing to keep you in my prayers. Toni...a nap sounds good but today is one of those days where all the little things need to get done. The boys are helping a lot. Jess is pulling some carpet in my room so we can put in some flooring. Tech...I hope things are looking up with your baby. Love and hugs, Crystle |
