Happy Friday ladies

I did a post yesterday, but I sure don't see it anywhere. Cyberspace I guess.

No big plans for the weekend. We are stripping the wallpaper in my dining room below the chair rail and will paint that tomorrow. Have to get one or 2 things off my to do list accomplished and plan to put up the rest of my chritmas decorations, clean and grocery shop. Just the normal stuff. So eating should be no problem.

Chris, I am so excited for you being 1 lb away from goal. Smart idea learning how to maintain. Even though wt loss is not easy, maintaining is a lot harder I think. How many times have we lost weight and put more back on. I know I am guilty of that many times. This time is the last I hope and pray.

Toni, How are you doing today? Have a great weekend. I guess you are sending me all that cold weather I see headed our way.

Meowee, those peanut butter cups are a killer. Hope your week is going better. You can get that pound off by the end of the month for sure.

Cray, glad you enjoyed your r&r time. Congrats on the 3 lbs. :cheer: Keep up the good work. I'm not sure about leeks. Are they some type of onion? or are they a root veggie? You can tell I'm not the gourmet cook.

Better get some work going. I was supposed to be off today with my DH but we have a bid going in at 3:00. I may sneak out after that.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Well . . . yesterday's lunch was Chinese and, although the calories stayed not too bad, the salt did me in of course and I'm up a pound. I know it's just www so I'll be sticking to OP stuff today and guzzling lots of exyta water. It was good.

Our weather is getting weirder and weirder.

Before the sun came out yesterday afternoon, we actually saw a tiny bit of "thick" and "slightly white-ish" rain. Didn't even last long enough to actually land on the ground though. Today the sun is shining and the teperatures are going up again.

Forecast for the weekend is calling for lots and lots of rain and a high temperature on Sunday of 20C/68F. Yep . . . 'normal' for this time of year is about 5C/41F. :dunno:

Have a great and fund Friday folks . . . :carrot:

Hi there . . .

Well -- after staying OP yesterday and swigging lots of water, one of those www pounds has disappeared. Hopefully, the other one will follow shortly. :crossed:

thanksgiving

Good morning y'all!! So, what are the plans for Thanksgiving? Cooking anything good, bad, or both? Staying on SB or taking a vacation? Dining out?

I will be on my sofa as I am having a hysterectomy this coming Friday.

meowee 11-16-2008 02:44 PM

Hi . . . :grouphug:

Our Thanksgiving was October 13 so no real temptations until the Christmas hysteria hits.

Best of luck for the little surgical adventure. :crossed:

Hello all.... Well here we are at Monday and got the week to deal with. We grocery shopped Friday and got the stuff for our Thanksgiving meal. We're roasting a whole turkey instead of a turkey breast this year. I'm doing so awful on my eating I think I'm setting myself up to fail. Will have turkey, green beans and I'm not sure what else. Of course DH will have to have mashed potatoes and deveiled eggs. I've got a recipe I'll post for a pumpin dessert that instead of a pie I put in pudding cups last year. It was really good. Hope everyone is fine.

Toni48 11-17-2008 03:19 PM

No Bake Pumpkin Pie[/u]

1 small package butterscotch instant sf pudding
1 Cup skim milk

Mix the above for 1 minute, then add:

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup pumpkin

Stir well then add:

1/2 container of lf cool whip ( 8 oz size )

Stir well again and pour in low fat pie crust. Top with remaining cool whip. Refrigerate 3 hours.

Can also be used as pudding without the pie crust

Hi ladies, just wanted to check in. I am swamped at work and have had no time to post. Hopefully, byt he end of the week I will be caught up.

No time for individual posts, except to wish Crayphish a successful surgery and take care of yourself. I hope someone will bring you some Turkey. Now days, Hys are a lot easier so hopfully you will be back on your feet in no time.

Be back as soon as I can.

Hi gang . . .

I absolutely  that recipe, TONI, although I've only ever used it as a pudding. If you want an even more decadent touch, try beating in a container of spreadable SF/FF cream cheese.

Anyway . . . what a difference a day or two makes weather-wise -- high temperature Sunday, 70F; yesterday, 41F; today we will be lucky to make it much above freezing and the precipitation that is expected will probably be white and lingering. At lest it isn't nearly as windy.

Have a good day . . . :carrot:

Toni48 11-18-2008 02:43 PM

Hello...... I made that recipe as a pudding and put it in pretty glasses. Thats what we had last Thanksgiving instead of pie. It was so good. Yum Meowee the cream cheese sounds wonderful. I haven't planned much today. In a second I have to get up and fix lunch for DH. And figure out whats for dinner. I think it might be taco soup.

Crayfish- Good luck with your surgery.

Meowee- Love that chinese food. Yum....

Solly- Hope you get everything done.

Have a good day....

Toni48 11-19-2008 06:53 PM

Goodness where is everyone? I had a really nice day went shopping with three friends and out to lunch. It was a great day...

meowee 11-19-2008 07:49 PM

Busy, busy, busy . . . but did want to say a quick HI . . .

Toni48 11-20-2008 06:56 PM

Wow we're slow here. Got almost all my Christmas shopping done on line this past couple of weeks. Bless the internet when you live in a rural area. Still having a hard time with Dh. He's so hard to buy for. And then stocking suffers. Now I'd better concentrate on Thanksgiving. Its turned cold here and is a freezing 32 out right now.

Hi ladies

Had just a minute and thought I owuld pope in.

Nothing exciting with me. Sam ole smae ole. Work, gym, and home.
No plans for the weekend other than working around the house. I guess I will put up my old tree as I haven't found a new one I like for the money yet.
Saturday I am going to make a big pot of kale greens. Yum

Toni, glad you had a good time with your friends. I have the worst time with stockings too and they are my kids favorite part. Especially for DH and SIL.

Meowee, it was 28 here today and we got lots of snow flurries yesterday. I think it is going to 50 this weekend though. We will get out and put up our outside lights and decorations.

Have a great weekend.

meowee 11-21-2008 05:19 PM

:grouphug:

Definitely slow around 3FC -- happens every year about this time, but this year it seems particularly quiet in a few places.

I'm still doing the headless chicken dance around here -- don't seem to remember that working full time was quite so bad when I used to do it regularly -- do you think I'm getting older or just out of practice.

Eating hasn't been the greatest either. Hopefully I'll be back on track soon.

To top things off, looks like Winter is finally going to get to us -- some parts of the Province have already had a couple of bad storms but we've only got a bit of dust. BUT . . . by noon tomorrow we are supposed to have a good 30 cm (that's a FOOT) of the stuff.

Have a great evening, gang . . . see you later . . . :carrot:
