Default Eating question

How do most of you who are losing weight work the SB plan? The book does not specify amounts for a serving of protein, for example. Does just eating reasonable amounts still allow you to lose or do you count carbs etc? I also notice that alot of the recipes do not give sugar amounts so I suppose when in doubt, do without, right?

I think eating reasonable amounts works well. I have never counted carbs. I just eat a 'serving' of protein and fill up on vegetables, and have one legal starch. I try to keep starchy carb servings (brown rice, ww bread, etc) to three or less a day. I believe the book says that a dinner plate, within the rim, is a good amount for a meal. That seems to be true for me. I use a luncheon plate instead of a dinner sized plate, just to keep my portions down.

That is basically what I do too. I just wanted to make sure all you wonderful people had not figured out some things on your own that I could benefit from!
