Default New to Sugar Busters

Hi All! I was diagnosed in March with Type 2 diabetes and was losing weight slowly but surely by just watching my carbs. About 7 weeks ago that all stopped and I have gained back 5 pounds. I need to lose at least 75 more poounds so I started re-evaulating my eating plan to see where it could be tweaked. I have finally decided that Sugar Busters is the missing link for me! I am in the process of reading the book again (I read it several years ago) and also reading all the posts here on the board to see what you all are doing for success.
It sounds like you have a great bunch of people here. I hope to be contributing to your conversations really soon. I also may have some questions as I make the conversion to this plan!

JACQUE: Glad to have you join us! Most of us post in the monthly support thread, so I hope you will join us in there. It is slow right now, due to the holidays, but will pick up some come January.

Welcome Jacque!!

Well it's HAMMER TIME!!!

I guess my log in's will be one day behind right?

Anyway:

Would you believe yesterday I was SNOWED in. I live in Toronto, Ontario CANADA and WOW what a snowstorm for 2 days!! and the wind was really bad too.

Onwards!! I will have to pull out one of favorite words and live around that and the word FRESH - the other word is ORGANIZE and PLANNING AHEAD.

This morning I had brown rice and a whack of cauliflower and brussel sprouts. I usually have a hunk of protein but didn't have any this morning.

I want to ensure my breakfasts are very and most EXCELLENT in order to keep my night bingeing NON APPLICABLE!!!

No snacks
weight lifting or cardio 4 x's per week
3 meals per day
NO SUGAR

I'm not going to deprive or restrict or punish. I believe in the power of health and am after it this time....

P.S. I will weigh in tomorrow as some kind of marker.....

I also have done a lot of reading on fibroids and when some women have lost a lot of weight and cut down on "fat" they seem to consistently go away.....I would love this......

Default Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome! You all sound like a great bunch to hang with! I had time to post my bio this morning so you can read more about me there.

I am in the process of reviewing the book so I will probably have questions later today!
