I don't know if this one will work. It's something I got in an e-mail yesterday.

Daddy how was I born?

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?"

The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!

Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo.

Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe.

We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive...

As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

'You got Male!'

SO CUTE!!!

ThinWithin225 03-24-2007 05:20 PM

What cute jokes!!! I have been doing better the last couple of days. I've really had a DUH! moment that tells me that protein and fiber really do make you feel fuller longer! Maybe everything I've heard is true!:faint:

We went to Sean's band banquet last night and he got a patch for his (someday) letter jacket for being in the inagural Creekview band. We also found out that their halftime show next year will be "Wicked". It's a broadway musical "the untold story of the witches of Oz". I'm seeing color guard in long black/white outfits and such! The director is also asking if anyone has a generator we can borrow. Maybe for a fog machine or something? It will be cool!

Hello everyone! Today we did our cherry blossom picnic with brown rice sushi and salad and miso soup. The rest of the crew drank sake. I did not. Tonight, I made tonkatsu (breaded pork tenderloin) but did not eat much. Just did not feel like eating...and I forgot to take my Byetta tonight too. Duh!

I fired the kiln today with glaze tests. I can't wait to see what I got. :)

I was going to post a few pictures, but I can't get them resized automatically. I will have to do it later. :(

I need to go pick Justin up from work, so I will check in tomorrow. James leaves for NYC, so I may not be on until tomorrow night. Boy, I am going to miss him. :(

Hi all,

Went to church this morning and a group of us went for lunch afterwards. To a pizza buffet! I did have pizza but I was overly good for breakfast and will be the same for supper. I promise.

THIN: It will be fun to hear of all the band plans as the year progresses. I will definitely watch that game or at least half-time!

MONET: I think your cherry blossom picnic is delightful. What a way to kick back and relax. My DS comes home Wednesday, we don't sit underneath each others feet, but I miss him when he's not here.

I have to work on those programs. Procrastinating!!

Hi everyone

I awoke at 6 this morning, rolled over and woke up again at 9. So no walk for me this morning. Hope I wake up on time tomorrow morning. I was out this afternoon to the legion to play shuffleboard against a visiting team and we actually won for a change. This is just a social thing, we visit a different legion one week and they return the visit a couple of weeks later. We do this with several legions in the area during the season.

For lunch to-day I had lentil/rice pancakes with sambhar, which is a lentil veggie mix. It was very filling so didn't need to eat the food they had after the game. They had chili which is usually very good and would have been legal but I was just too full still. Of course I did have a couple of small pieces of dessert. How is it I can always eat a bit of sweet stuff even when I am too full to eat anything else. :(. For dinner I am going to have some pan fried tilapia with asparagus and coleslaw.

Sef - When I was at the legion I came across a couple of song books with the lyrics of lots of old songs. I thought of you and picked them up and brought them home. I was just sitting here singing Lilli Marlene. Hope the neighbours didn't hear me.. Let me know if you have music for songs but no lyrics. If I have them I could type them and send them to you.

ROSALIE:

What a lovely offer. There are ties I remember some old song but not all of it. Then I start Googling everything I can think of. Not always successfully, I might add. I will keep your kind offer in mind.

Good morning, Good morning,

It is a lovely morning!! Just a quick note to say how lovely it is! Look at my ticker tape!

Busy day...NH this morning, entertain at 2, which means not home til a little before 4p and then rush to get ready for an outing with the YAH. Joyce is picking me up at 4:30p to meet at the church at 4:45 for car pooling to a concert over in Mandeville. We are going to grab at bite at IHOP (wish me luck on my eating!)

Keep a song in your heart (mine is singing!), Shirley

Hi Everyone

We had a nice weekend, we finally found a respite worker for Eric, so DH and I had a nice break from him for 5 hours on Sat. We went out for lunch and then bowling, and then hit the casino. I won 55 dollars and DH loss 30, but all in all it was nice getting away from dealing with diapers and a child that dosen't want to eat, it can get very frusterating. For all you new people my Son is almost 4 and is autistic so he is non verbal and we have to do everything for him.
Sunday I woke up with a terrable cold and we just stayed in and rested.
.But l did lose another lb over the weekend so that was great/

Today l am taking Eric to school and then going to curves for another workout.

Hope you all had a great weekend and that you have a wonderful week.

Good morning all

Managed to get up this morning and go for my walk. It was an effort to get up as I had been awake most of the night but this is what happens when I sleep in the night before so was determined not to do it two days in a row. It's a dull day here, raining and thunder and predictions of more thunderstorms this afternoon. It is very mild though and is expected to go up to about 66F this afternoon.

Sef - I can see you have a very busy day ahead of you. Hope it's a fun day for you. Congrats on your loss this week. How many did you lose?

Ericsmommy - That was nice that you could get away with dh for a while on the weekend.

Have to go shower and fix my hair. Going to visit my dd this afternoon and then will be off to play darts in the evening so want be around until later this evening.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone,
Hope all of you enjoyed your weekend. I am officially starting SB today, I eased into it over the weekend. It's a nice sunny day here in FL. We have a nice breeze so that we have all the windows and doors open. We had such a breeze come through yesterday that it knocked our calendar off the wall. :D

I have already gone for my walk. My neighbor and I got together on Jan. 2nd and started walking 5 days a week. We are up to 3 miles now and we keep each other on track.

Rosalie, I have trouble sleeping too. Some nights are better than others. I have no problem going to sleep, but can't seem to stay asleep. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Mo, I am sorry to learn about your son. I have 2 friends who each have a grandson that is autistic. I know how very difficult it is for you. I am glad that you and your DH were able to get away for a little while over the weekend.

sef, that is so nice of you volunteering at the nursing home. It sounds like you're going to be busy today with all your activities. Enjoy yourself!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Ali

Good morning! (at least it is still morning as I start this...it may be afternoon by the time I am done! haha!)

I just got in from a 40 minute walk. Breakfast was three poached eggs and a piece of dry toast. After weighing in, and feeling discouraged at the increase for no apparent reason, I decided I needed to go back to simple...eggs and toast for breakfast, salads for lunch, and a meat and a veggie for dinner. Cereal for breakfast just doesn't work for me, and I ought to KNOW that. My blood glucose level this morning was not good, and I was feeling pretty frustrated about it.

Yesterday was a disaster. My kiln load did not work the way I wanted it to, so I did not get anything I liked out of the load. What a waste!

I got a phone call this morning asking me to sub for the art teacher at a school I subbed at before, so I will be working Thursday and Friday. I am going to north Georgia tomorrow instead of Thursday now, so it is going to be a busy week.

James left yesterday, and I am feeling a bit depressed about that. He will not be home again for another month. I worry about him when he is gone, as he has to work in some rough areas.

Tom has had some good activity on his job search. He has about four or five recruiters now who have contacted him, so I think it will not be long before he finds a job.

I am wondering where some of our MIAs are. BOB, COUNTRY, HEART, TEENSYBEAN, GATOR....I know there are more.

SEF: Wow...you do have a busy day! Have fun!

ROSALIE: Darts, badminton, walking...I have this image of you - and you never sit down! :) Care to share your Sambar (sp?) recipe? Sounds good...

ALEKA: Where are you in Florida? Anywhere near Sarasota? That is where BOB is... As you start out, concentrate on staying legal. After a week or so of no sugar, THEN worry about portion control. It makes it easier to do if you just make one change at a time.

MO: I am so glad you and your hubby could get out for a bit! A break like that helps recharge you. It is probably good for Eric too, doncha think? You are doing so awesome! How much have you lost total now?

Hi ladies

Just a quick post. It has been an even day if you know what I mean. things have gone all smooth and in order, but terribly busy.

The weekend was beautiful here low 80's. I love it. Didn't get out in it too much with the work going on in the house. My bedroom, dining room and hallway look beautiful. All is left is the family room which we will start the prep work tonight and the guys will work Wed night and finish Sat. It is so nice. I am cleaning (washing walls, knick-knacs, etc as we go so it is all clean and smells so good.

Sorry no time for personal replies. Maybe tomorrow. Have a great evening.

Good evening all. Got on the scale and I've gained weight. So I'm mad as heck at myself. I've got to get control. I just seem to be getting worse as I try to eat better. This week will be better, I'm going to take just one day at a time. I'm having a hard time at the end of the week every week it seems. So far I've had B- a bowl of shredded wheat cereal and a 1/2 banana, an avocado for lunch with 1/2 of banana and a Lara bar. Gee when I write it out it doesn't sound so great. I hope to roast some aspargras with a hamburger patti for dinner. I'm looking for one of my hand weights I can only find one. Where oh where in this messy house could it have gone to? Have to run. Happy Day to all.....

Ellen 03-26-2007 05:36 PM

I ran some errands this afternoon. I am heading up to the mountains to work tomorrow since I have a substitute teacher job Thursday and Friday. I talked to the art teacher I am subbing for, and she was all gung-ho about my bringing in my portable wheel and doing a pottery demo for all the classes. How great is that? I get to work all day Thursday and Friday, AND get paid for it! :)

TONI: I have a suggestion. Try having protein for breakfast instead of cereal. Protein helps rev up the metabolism, which will help in the long run. You could get powdered whey protein and mix it with milk and some fruit for a nice smoothie. Your lunch did not have protein either. You need more veggies as well. I think if you had plenty of veggies, and ate protein at every meal, it would help you to eat better because you would not be hungry as much. Just my opinion...
