Default NSV - Brownies!

Hey, okay so I'm in college and live with one of my best friends... who happens to be naturally about 110 (5'6) and eats utter junk and never has to work out. Beyond that, she makes all these brownies and cookies and cakes and pastas and begs me to finish what she can't. This week, she just made a pan of Triple Chunk Brownies before she left for a week... they've been taunting me every time I go into the kitchen to get water or go to the gym.

So today I grabbed the pan, a fork, and emptied it all into the trashcan

(Okay so maybe I had a little taste, but that was only to keep from binging on the whole pan so I think it was a good compromise)

good for you lesel. i know that took alot of courage to do that. i'm not sure i could do that. first i would have to leave them out on the counter so they would get hard. then i could throw them away. lol. but good for you!!! way to go!!!

Thanks! And yeah, I left them out for about a day or so but they kept getting more and more tempting so this morning I snapped and went, alright, goodbye to you I did figure I can tell her they all went hard before she got back, so I won't have to feel so bad about tossing them.

Great job Lesel! I have the same problem w/anything chocolate. I don't know when to stop. Although I have gotten a lot better at avoiding sugarry stuff. I do have a "recipe" that one of my WW friends gave me at a meeting though if you can be brave enough to try them. It is sooo simple. Just take any brownie mix (family size) and instead of adding eggs, oil, and water you add 9 oz. of diet soda or club soda. Bake as usual. That's IT! They are so delicious. I usually take a DH or BC (can't remember which) triple chocolate cake mix and do the same thing and it comes out like brownies. You can put it in a mini muffin tin or a regular muffin tin too. Of course there is sugar in it still, but on WW a regular size muffin is 2 or 3 points depending on the mix ingredients. I think it figured out to be about 80 calories per serving/muffin. Check it out. I bake a batch and freeze them, that way if I do have one, I don't pig out. Great going with your will power! Good luck.

it doesnt make for great brownies but as for chocolate cake sub the oil for unsweetened applesauce ( its sweet just doesnt have refined sugar), use egg whites instead of the whole egg, or you can use egg beaters. Taste great and its better for you!

I made those soda brownies and I didnt like them much. But I did find a Fat Free Krustas? Brownie mix. You can get them at QFC. They also have Fat Free No Pudge Brownies. Very good.
