Red face I know this is a little one but....

This is not such a big deal but it was sooooooooooooooooooo hard to do LOL. This morning I walked almost 4 miles in my new sneakers and my feet are hurting soooooo badly LOL. So this evening when I needed to go just a few blocks to the drugstore I was really all set to take the car. But I thought and thought, and put on my OLD sneakers and set off on the walk, sore feet and all.

That's great! Even though your feet are hurting, I'm sure you feel a lot better!

ooo That reminds me - please be careful about walking in shoes that give blisters. My brother had a blister from a new pair of boots that he got, and ended up with Cellulitis. He ended up in the hospital for 4 days with it. The doctor told him his blister got infected.

Take care of yourself

Hi Kitty

Thanks for the caution. Actually these did not cause blisters. I have plantar fascitis (sp?) and bone spurs so it just made them really sore. And I decided they need more insole so I am going to get gels for them. But mostly LOL they are just new.

Misti, your dedication amazes me more with every passing day! I bet you're really seeing your legs tone up nicely with all the walking you do!

And, say, cute new photo!!! I almost didn't recognise you with the long hair! Then I saw that beautiful smile and said, Ah yes, that's our Misti!

Thanks everybody! You are such encouragers! I put some insoles into the shoes and went out again today... made it LOL!!!

This morning was neat! I walked into church and my friend was standing a few feet away. She looked up and her jaw dropped... guess it had suddenly struck her... and she said "WOW! You look like you've lost a LOT of weight!"

Yay it is nice when it begins to show!!! And you are right Lena... my legs are really getting strong. Unfortunately it is my top half that is baaaaad <G> but today I bought some of those spongy 3 pound exercise balls. We have a fitness center but it is just hard to get TIME to do that.

LOL sorry to confuse people with the new Avatar along with the new name. But I hated the name LOL -- it was from long ago... and I could not stand to look at myself with that short hair another minute!!!

Thanks Brandy! LOL everyone is telling me that, and I promise I am four years older LOL and about to bump up one more... to 59 this time... in May!! Actually I think it looks younger too... but it could be that when the other one was taken I had just moved from a subtropical climate... hot and humid and which causes allergy problems for me... and now I have been in the moderate, "misti" Seattle weather again for over 4 years. It is definitely better on my complexion, personally.

That will be the one bad part about losing weight... the puffiness will go out of my face and wrinkles will appear in their place LOL but it's a price I am willing to pay!
