Talking A Small Step but Big for Me

This is not such a big step but hey ALL steps are big, right?

Tonight my friend and I went out for dinner and I ordered a very healthful chicken breast with veggies and a few potatoes. It wasn't a huge dinner but plenty. When I was getting close to finished I realized... "I am actually full." There was not that much food and it would have been okay to eat it... BUT I decided I didn't NEED it and it was a GOOD exercise in saying no and stopping before I had eaten everything. So I did!! I left really good on my plate which I could have easily eaten! LOL as the waiter was taking away my plate I was having some regrets... but NOW I sure don't !!!

Way to go Dance! I made myself cut my steak in half so it was a reasonable portion size, now I have a lunch for today. It sounds like such an easy thing to do, but it tastes so good I must admit I was tempted to just keep eating. Great Job on controlling the binge monster.

Thanks everybody! Hey, recently I am noticing small changes... for example when I get up out of a chair I can do it without holding on to something and using my arms for support. Also, when I go walking and put my hands in my pockets, I can actually feel that my thigh muscles are tightening!!

Thanks! It is amazing the small changes we start to see in ourselves even when we still have a LONG way to go! But wow isn't this support helpful and encouraging.

LOL It would be interesting to know how many pounds have gone bye bye here in this forum over the years LOL

I agree, BeatlesFan. I was telling my friend last night about all the challenges and games for weight loss, walking, etc. He asked what is to keep anyone from cheating. BUT I said... and I believe... most of the people here are SERIOUS about wanting to get in shape and cheating on the count would only be cheating ourselves!!!
