Default NSV and I EARNED it!!

I have been thinking about walking to church but decided to do it on Saturday in case I didn't make it LOL. It is only 3 miles but almost all up one very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongggggggggggggggg hill! Today I did it! The street is narrow and busy, and mostly I had to walk in rocks and grass so it was HARD!!

About halfway up I thought about turning back but thought if I keep going I can come and post an NSV LOL. And I thought "Lena would keep going."

So I did and made it to the top! Coming back was much easier but I am EXHAUSTED and have in 9500 steps and it is only 10:50 AM. Now I have to go to the grocery store but I am DRIVING!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement! You know... this place is really neat! I very well MAY have turned around and come home but I could hear all of you cheering for me, as I am for you!

It is neat as this is the place we can come and yap about it all we want... I try to avoid yapping about eating and weight all the time to my friends... although I am blessed to have some very supportive friends!! But here we can share ANY victory or discouragement or whatever and know everyone understands!!! Thanks palsies

Good for you, Dance! I'm happy to hear about the progress you're making.

You're such an encourager yourself, and so quick to rejoice in others' victories, that I'm glad to finally have a chance to rejoice in yours.

Thanks Brandy and Margarita! Hey we are a TEAM and isn't it wonderful to have buddies to encourage US and whom WE can be the encouragers and cheerleaders for! This is really great for me. And LOL my feet and legs ACHE from all the walking but I don't mind!!!

I just put on a huge crockpot of Burger Heaven (very heavily adjusted LOL) that I found on the recipe boards here... oh wow it looks awesome and SO healthy... I can hardly wait LOL.

Dance, you are my hero!!!! I love it when you say it was "only" 3 miles... I doubt I could do that yet, but I'm getting better every day. And you are my inspiration!

You are incredible! As soon as the weather turns more reasonable here (and when the golf courses open up -- FORE!), I'm going to be walking more outside. Can't wait!

And yes, I absolutely love the community here. Makes this whole journey so much more enjoyable, knowing that there are folks here who know, from personal experience, what I'm experiencing. I haven't mentioned any of my new lifestyle to my 3D friends (DH and DS get just bits and pieces because I don't want to overwhelm them), so it's really comforting to have the 3FC community.

Oh, I feel a grouphug coming on!!!

Go, Dance, Go!

LOL Lena I am NO hero! You should see me hobbling around here on my sore feet after walking that far in the rocks and stuff! And I need new walking shoes so could feel every rock LOL.

I love the Seattle winters and being out in the rain so it will be harder for me now that the weather is turning all sunny LOL. But even in our hot season it is nothing like what it is most places... people visiting here laugh at us for being such wimps in either "hot" or "cold" weather because we get very little of either really here.

Lena, do you play golf?

I play AT golf...

We've had a lot going on for the last few seasons so I haven't been out as much as I'd like. I'm hoping to play much more this year. Even thinking about joining a (non-competitive) just-fore-fun league!

How about you, Dance?

No I don't play golf... but it will be great walking for you even if you just play AT it LOL.

We have a fitness center here at my apt complex but I much prefer being outdoors, which is why I try to do the walking!!
