Default my 1st 10K race!!

So I've been losing weight (s l o w l y) for the last 5 months...eating better, exercising a ton and last weekend I had 2 big victories: 30 pounds gone forever, and I finished my first 10K race! Woot! I'm so excited.
One more race in October then I start training for a triathlon. Yay! Just had to share

Awesome Girl! I did my first 10k in April. It is such a goog feeling to have done it as I'm sure you agree. Great job on the 30 lbs, you have lots to be excited about.

Thanks, all for the support! I've been doing this all on my own so far, and find that it's getting a little scary as I start seeing numbers on the scale that I haven't seen since high school...I think this place will be just what I need to get me the rest of the way to my goal - and beyond.

Ilene - thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check out the runners thread - I need to learn about pacing myself in those races!
