Have you ever heard this before?
"How do you eat an elephant?"
"One bite at a time."
It just seems to fit so well for trying to lose a lot of weight. I've been thinking of that saying a lot today. Of course, I'm trying NOT to eat an elephant

so I guess a more appropriate saying would be that you avoid eating an elephant by turning down one bite at a time

. You're doing GREAT. Small, successful steps is wonderful.
I hear you about posting your weight. I was terrified to put it out there at first. The "high weight" in my ticker isn't even actually my all-time highest weight. I was 266 the day I went into labor with my second baby. This is actually the first time I've ever admitted that. Mortifying. On the other hand, it's nice to look at the ticker now and see that I've come a decent way since starting this weight-loss effort. It makes me feel better to see that I'm NOT at 248 any more, and that if I stick with my healthier lifestyle, I never have to be 248 again.
