This has to be my biggest victory so far, and even though it happened a week or so ago I'm still thinking about it so I thought I had to post . . . I fit into a 36D bra!!!!! At my smallest, I wore a 34DD, but that was back when I didn't work out at all and when I was like 13-14 years old (let me tell you, it really sucks to have DD breasts when you're that young!). When I started losing weight, I was bursting out of my 36DD's.
Lately though, I started to notice what appeared to be some extra skin on my breasts. Also, my bra felt a little looser than usual, hmmm . . . so I went to Victoria's Secret, and grabbed a few different sizes, and who knew?? The 36D fit!! I have not been in a D-cup bra since I was like 12 years old, and it is SUCH a relief to know that I will no longer have to dig deep into drawers of special "full-figure" sections to find bras! I will be able to buy attractive bras! I will fit into normal shirts! (Well, okay, D is still pretty big, but it seems tiny to me!)
I'd been considering having a breast reduction done, thinking that once I get to goal weight my boobs will look ridiculously huge, but if I could lose another cup size it would be perfect! My biggest thanks for this victory go to . . . bench presses! I really think that firming up my pecs helped me out here.
So for all you ladies struggling with enormous breasts . . . there is hope! They can shrink! I know how difficult it is to be big-chested, and it is SUCH A RELIEF to finally be at a size that most stores carry!
Josie -- 36C is my ideal size. If I was going to have a reduction I'd want to be a C-cup afterwards. But I am so happy to just be a D after so many years as a DD! Man, when I was in high school, looking for a prom dress was SO painful, because every single gorgeous dress would zip up to the middle of my back, but not fit over my chest! Now I'm confident that I will be able to fit into size L shirts and not have to by XL anymore, at least most of the time.
The breasts were the first part of me to go, much to my husband's horror. I dropped from around a 40D down to a 34B. So when the B's started getting tight, it should've been my first indication that I was pregnant. So now I'm in C's for awhile. He has his prized possessions back.
Unfortunately for me, the boobs are the last thing to go! I am currently a 36D and would love to be back to a B or C cup. If you're noticing extra skin try to start doing push ups (if you're not all ready doing them). Also if you have an exercise ball and hand weights you can lay on the ball and do chest presses and flys. This really helps to tone the muscles under the fatty boob part.
Way to go ladies. I look forward to the day that I can THROW OUT the D Cups!

sounds so much like my fiance. He's terrified this dieting is going to change me in that way, which unfortunetly (for me!) it hasn't yet. Im still a 38DD which is what I've always been even at my thinnest however I am working on my back and ab muscles so I dont have a sore hunchy back anymore.
I've also seriously contemplated breast reduction surgery but Im going to wait until after we've had our children so I can bf.
Bah, you're complaining about having big boobs?! Try having small ones, they don't even MAKE 32C. The solution? Mom tries buying 34B, which makes my boobs try to spill out, while it's still loose band-wise even on the tightest setting. ;__; It's so freakin' weird.
Buuut, congratulations. I never lose weight in my chest. Well, maybe I do.. Perhaps since I'm still growing the boob-loss is replaced with normal boob-gain? o_O
Invidia, the grass is always greener on the other side! I always am shocked when I see people on plastic surgery shows say they want DD-cup breast implants. I'm like, do they realize what a complete pain it is to have huge boobs? From little things, like sleazy men leering at you all the time, to stupid things, like smacking your breasts on the doorjamb when you're not paying attention (I do this, seriously!), to the fact that no clothes fit, to the back pain! I've always hated my breasts (I got teased about them when I was a kid, since I grew them pretty darn early -- one kid in 7th grade said to me "They're so big if they get any bigger they'll explode!").
But you know what's kind of funny? Apparently working out your pecs does wonders for breasts of all sizes. If you're really small, then firming up your pecs can make them look bigger, and if you're big, it can make them smaller. Pretty weird!
Also, since you are still young, I'm sure things will even out more when you get older! I looked pretty ridiculous with DD breasts when I was 13, but not quite so bad once I was 20!
