Oh my goodness guys! I weighed myself today and the scale is at 245! Since I started on January 9, I've lost a total of 41 pounds! I never thought that I could lose that much weight so quickly. I used to barely fit into a size 24 pants and a size 26 shirt. Now, my size 24 pants/jeans don't fit me at all...I swim in them. My size 26 and 3X shirts just hang off of my body they're so big. I bought new jeans, a black pair of trousers, and some nice, stylish shirts 2 weeks ago. Pants were a 22 and shirts were a 22/24. Now, the size 22 pants are becomming way too big!!
I know this is kind of crude, but when I lay down and look down at myself, I can see the top of my crotch! I see pubes! I can feel my collarbone easily, I can easily feel my ribs, my calves are SUPER toned and the rest of my is getting there too! I have a waist-line! I have an hourglass figure! Who knew?! My breasts are starting to lift and not sag so much! I can run up the steps without getting winded!
This is just so wonderful. I just wanted to share with you all how proud I am of myself.
To tell you the honest to God truth, I'm really not sure how it came off so quickly. I'm pretty sure that it was because I was living a pretty sedentary lifestyle. I'd get home from work, a desk job, and be totally exhausted and just lay on the couch all night. Plus all the fatty/unhealthy food I was eating and all of the regular soda I was drinking...I could drink a 12 pack in one day, easily! So, I cut all of that out. I weighed myself and I was at 286.5 lbs. and I was disgusted. I saw recent pictures of myself and thought that I just looked morbidly obese. So, I stopped eating the fattening snacks and meals, added more fruits, veggies, and whole grained. Exercise-wise, I pushed my *** from the very beginning. I went from no strenuous or aerobic exercise for years and years, to doing a Tae-Bo workout DVD. It was NOT easy, but I pushed myself. I work-out everyday for the most part. Sometimes, I'll give myself a day or two off. I try to mix up the exercise a lot too....from toning exercises, to aerobics DVD's, to walking outside, etc. etc.
All of that with no weight-loss surgery, no Weight Watchers, no LA Weight-Loss, no Trim-Spa...just me. I read a lot of books though and that helped a lot. Weightloss for Dummies is a good one. You just have to have that drive though, you really do have to push yourself. You have to look at it as a new way of living, instead of a temporary diet. You can do it girl!!
It is such a great inspiratation to hear stories like this. I too lead a very sedentary lifestyle ... although I did become more active after Christmas/New Year. Unfortunately, as usual, it didn't last! However, I have recently got back into it but have found myself beginning to slack ... until I read your post! It just goes to show that if you keep at it, it works!!
