Ah, sweetie.. (((((((HUG)))))) Just hang in there.... I'm sure that you are seeing yourself firming up all over the place and you are losing inches. Also, by drinking that water you are doing fabulous things for your skin and will likely have less or no loose skin when you get to goal. I know it is frustrating as ****.. I was stuck at a plateau for almost two months and thought that darned scale would never move. But one day it did and it will for you too... Just try to stay positive and take some deep breaths when you are ready to stuff the scale down the garbage disposal or run over it with your car, lol!! Good luck---you can do it!

Way to go on the 24 pds by the way!

Much love and hugs,
Crystal

i like to try and put a positive spin on plateaus in that at least the scale isn't going UP. sometimes i might lose a pound a week for 2 weeks and nothing the following 2 weeks. it still breaks down to approximately .5lb/wk loss which is fine by me. i've lost 50 pounds in the last 13 months and i only have 15 to go to reach my goal. even if it takes another 13 months to lose those 15 pounds, i won't mind.

for me, it started out about the pounds but now i realize it isn't even about that. it's about striving to be a healthier person in both mind and body. i've learned so much about myself during this time, the weight loss is just a nice side effect. if you get your mind in the right place, your body will follow.

The plateau buster that has worked for me was instead of thinking in terms of X calories per day, I changed to X per week (keeping tabs for the whole week on a simple spreadsheet). When I started allowing myself days where I had higher calories and then made up for it by having a lower calorie day to follow, etc. my plateau ended. I haven't been on one in awhile with this sort of "less regimented, but still lower calorie" diet plan.

Best of luck!

I was on a medically supervised diet and when I hit a plateau they gave me this THREE day plan that if everything else failed, you followed. They really freaked on me to take the vitamins during this day and to drink the water, but it worked.

Upon rising:
Water with 1/2 fresh lemon

Breakfast
1/2 Grapefruit
Scrambled egg whites prepared with a oil spray

Lunch
1/2 Grapefruit
Green Salad with water packed tuna and lemon

Dinner
Grilled chicken Breast with no skin
Steamed brocoli

I did this, it knocked me out of the plateau, but I hated it and was miserable......so if you try it be forewarned!!!! Remember, only for three days, this is not a diet, this is something that is supposed to bump your system, not a plan. I ate as much of the allowed foods as I wanted, since they discouraged snacking, and it still worked.
