  • This is such an inspriation! I admire you for preservering and for taking the control of your destiny in your own hands. You bring up an important issue: You have to know your own body and to be the main judge of what feels and looks right on you. We all know some people have trouble with self-perception, but once you've weighed (bad pun!) all sides of the issue, it does come down to you. Great job and great living!
  • Fit for Life............YOU are an INSPIRATION to EVERYONE!!!!!!

What will power you must have!!!!! Good for you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Congratulations Fit4Life. What an accomplishment. With 60 to lose, I feel I too need the structure of a formal program to help me. I've tried WW, but found it so slow that I'd lose a pound one week and then gain it back the next, then get discourgaed because it wasn't any real progress. What was your experience like and did you hit many or any plateaus. What did you find to be so good about it?
  • Fit4Life - YAY for you!!! Like you, I lost 60 pounds and you're right - you forget after a year or so how it felt to be fat. One day I was lugging a 40 pound bag of dogfood and realized I had once been carrying that around on my waist, hips and butt! What a shock! I can barely pick up a 60 pound dumbell. It really brings your success into focus.

Spikedporcupine - I am currently losing my (those #@$&) last 10pounds with weight watchers and it's actually working. You have GOT to watch portion size. Measure measure measure! Exercise helps too, I usually eat at the high end of my points.

  • CONGRATULATIONS!! I know you are SOOO PROUD of yourself!! You are PROOF that it's possible and are SUCH and INSPIRATION to ALL!! Thanks for sharing!
