Talking 25 1/2 pounds and still going...

I would love to hear from others loseing weight or who just wants to talk about losing weight. I have lost 25 pounds by eating between 1,200-1,600 calories a day (depends on how hungry I am that day) and eating between 20-30 fat grams per day. I try to get most of my calories from fruit and veggies and I do have low or non fat icecream, popsicles and cookies and things like that everyday. I fit my eating around what kind of day I am having. If I go visit my mother one day I pack all my food that I want to eat and bring it with me so that I don't have any excuse! I also keep a food journel to keep track of my food intake of fat and calories. There are LOTS of food options out there if you are willing to look. As I find new things I can have I write it down on a sheet of paper and keep a list so that when it comes time to go to the store I just look on my list. I also search for recipes and try them out and when I find one I like I put it in a folder I have. Anyways, anyone wanting to talk can e-mail me or message me. Good Luck!

Sounds like you have found the way that is right for you. Keep up the good work! I eat pretty much the same way. I dont really forbid myself anything, I just try to keep the calories down to that range also.

How long have you been working on it? Mine is coming off slowly but surely. I started the end of October and have lost 42 lbs. I've also added exercise to my program which I havent always done. I was walking 4 miles a day with my sis for the last couple of months but 2 weeks ago, we started doing a 30 min a day workout program on video. I want to lose 40 more lbs.

That's great that you keep a journal. I've started one a couple of times but get busy and dont stay committed to it. I read recently tho that those who do that generally lose more weight and lose it quicker than those who dont.

Well, congrats on the 25 lbs. Way to go!

Miki

Well, my brother is getting married August 2nd coming and I started weighing 185 this April and I am now 159.5 I am serving in the wedding and I want look nice in the dress. But, my main reason is I am dealing with infertility and hoping losing this weight and eating healthy will help. My tip to help you with the journel thing is to just bring it where ever you go. That's what I do anyhow. It's practically tied to me. Eventually maybe I won't need it, but right now I depend on it to help me lose weight. Great to meet you.

Yeah, it does take time but well worth it when you can sit down and say I DID IT! I still have about 20 or so pounds to go till I hit my goal weight but I WILL get there and stay there. I don't want to go back to being big again. I have had to learn to change bad habits for good.

Autumn what a great loss sooooooooooproud of you After all my struggles with weight I finally made my diet something that I can live with the rest of my life. I don't want to eat certain foods now then try to switch to a normal food intake when I reach my goal.

Thanks, its definitely worth it. My hardest part was frustration with waiting to get my weight down. Im still only half way there but its slowly coming around. Thats an excellent plan Sandylynn the key to it is to make a lifestyle change so that way you just stay on it whether than go back and forth. Good Luck
