Hi! I started this journey last year. I was almost at 300 pounds (but pretty tall so I "wore" it well). I started slow, exercising 3 times a week and watching what I ate. I lost about 20 pounds. I started the Food Mover from Richard Simmons in March and lost about 25 more. Since September, I was off my WOE, but I still managed to exercise just as much, so I maintained. I have started up again as of 1/7/01 and have lost another 7 pounds. I still have quite a way to go, but I just wanted to say that I am more determined than ever. I haven't been under 200 pounds in over 10 years, and I am looking forward to the day that I can post that success. I just want to let you know that every day is a challenge. Sometimes I just want to throw in the towel and go back to eating my burgers and fries. With the help of this board, I see that many women are taking control of their lives, becoming active and healthy and that makes me get up and exercise and count my calories every day. I hope there are more success stories. Mine is not even a huge success, but it is a start. Keep posting, and keep up the good work my friends!

Good for you Ressey! Look how far you've come. I think that being under 250 is a big success. So, you have that success under your belt. The determination that you have will get you where you want to be. Good luck to you. We are all here to help along the way.

CONGRATULATIONS Ressey!!! I've just started the RS plan and you can't imagine how much inspiration that you have given me!!! I think that at age 51, it has finally sunk in my "hard" head that this is a lifestyle change.
Ressey, YOU are a SUCCESS!! THANK YOU for SHARING!!!

Ressey --

Don't fret -- you're getting there - SLOW but SURE is the best way to lose weight and make permanent lifestyle changes!

Just try to reward yourself once in awhile -- treat yourself to a new article of clothing...a nice haircut...some new athletic shoes (I'm saying that because I just bought myself a new pair over the weekend!). Even if you can't afford to buy new clothes, go to the mall and TRY ON something in your new smaller size! (and I must say here that when you 'shrink out' of your clothes...don't keep 'em - get rid of them or (if it's something you can't part with) have them altered to fit your new bod!).
