I wish I could bottle that thing that makes us take control and lose the weight.
As most of you know I lost right at 100 pounds. I kept it off for 3 years and than slowly gianed back 30 of it. I just could not stop the weight from coming on. On the 19th of Nov I felt like this is it and started a weight loss plan. Part of me said Thanksgiving is next week, than the Christmas party's and everything that goes with that, but in my heart I knew I was ready. As of this morning I have lost 15 pounds. I am so excited I just had to share. I guess I am saying don't let anyone or anything stop you from your dreams. Your worth it. Sha

Hi Sha! We've had similar experiences. I lost 99 pounds over a period of two years and was 15-20 lbs from goal. Over the past 8 months, I have put on about 25 lbs. I was feeling so miserable, like a complete failure. But I'm back to eating healthy and exercising more and I'm feeling great!

Congratulations for getting back on track! I think it's important for us to recognize that we got back on track before gaining everything back. It was a stumbling block in a lifetime battle. We'll get there! I can't wait until I have lost 15 of the pounds I had regained! WAY TO GO!!

Erin, way to go girl. I know how you feel. I have tried about everything to stop the weight gain. I knew I did not want to have to fase the whole 100 pounds again, but we do have an advantage. We know how it feels to have the weight gone, and how much fun life can be. Keep up the good work, we can do it...Sha

Happy to hear you are motivated Jennifer! I feel the same way, I just wish I wouldn't have lost my motivation for those eight months. I was still working out during that time, but barely. Slow walks. Maybe 6-10 times per month at the gym, but half-hearted workouts. And my eating was not on track. But that is in the past, I can't change it. I can only change my future behaviors. And I am the one in charge of my behavior.

Now that I've changed back to a healthy way of eating, the gym has become addictive. No, really. I have so much energy. It makes me feel so good physically, but also mentally. I can already tell that I'm looking people in the eye more, I'm standing taller, and I feel more confident. I just feel happy. It must show. Our receptionist told me this morning "You're looking so thin" and I've only been back on track for about a week. So, a lot of it is in my attitude and how I carry myself because it's not like I've dropped a lot of weight in the past week!

I stepped on the scale this morning and I have gained back 23 pounds of the 99 I had lost. OUCH. That's hard to say. No more though. I will lose those 23 again and I'm sending some of their friends with them too! Time to pack up, fat cells! This fat cell hotel is closing for business 'cause we're opening up a muscle factory!

Have a great weekend!
