Weezle, welcome back.
Cottage, I'm glad you had a good gardening day. It's so satisfying!
Kiko, sounds like you are having a good OP weekend.
Barb, enjoy the Renaissance Fair or is it Faere?

This is a real quickie as I have to iron something cool to wear before I head to Church. After that I will finally have my wicker set up on the porch! It's going to be a hot day at last and I intend to do some porch sitting this afternoon with iced tea and some hand sewing.

The big news is that Miss Lucy will be coming home today. The pups are weaned at just over four weeks! They are eating ravenously and Lucy has closed the milk bar. This week they go for their shots and chips and then people start coming to see them. It'll be a busy time because prospedtive owners want to see the mother too. I can even show them the Grandmother!

Gotta dash. Enjoy your day.

Morning Ruth! I also need to iron clothes for church- times three! I SO need some cute new clothes!!

Okay- I didn't cheat yesterday, just too much OP food. Like, I need to stick to the serving size for Triscuits. (Which is 7 crackers, not half the box!) My weight was up a bit this morning and I know exactly why!

DH fell asleep ready our daughter books last night- so much for the romantic movie watching and snuggles!

I am working on finances to see if we can road trip to Ohio this summer. My uncle is getting married on July 1, so we would like to drive up. We have loads of relatives in Ohio, so it would be great fun. The major expense would be gas and hotel each way as it is usually one picnic or bbq after another when we are there.

Baby is crying for me- she slept late this morning- gotta jet!!

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here, warm and sunny! Jake is gearing up to mow the lawn, then we're taking down the storm windows on the sunporch and putting the screens in the storm doors, too. Later I'm going to make some Cauliflower "Potato" Salad for tomorrow, and I think I'll make a Strawberry Yogurt "Pie", just so I'll be prepared with OP foods for tomorrow. My Mom & Dad are going to make homemade ice cream , and that's going to be hard to resist! I can finally move my ticker down a bit, and I sure don't want to have to change it back up again!

Kiko ~ We're trying to squirrel money away, too, for our summer vacation. With the price of gas these days, it's a MAJOR expense! Go ahead and go, though, life is short, enjoy it while you have the chance!

Ruth~ Sounds like a lovely afternoon on the porch is planned. Better enjoy the down time now, you'll be busy keeping up with Lucy and her pups soon!

Hi Beachers

Sorry for the late start. Went out with my friends and I was going to have a hot dogs but I went for a B-L-T instead on sliced Italian Bread.

Didn't go near the tourist traps. We went to a local eatery that any the locals know about.Tonight we are going to have BBQ Chicken with Hawaiian Marinate on it and on the side lima beans Tomorrow we're having hamburgers & home made cucumber salad.Made the Italain Hazelnut Trifle[semi SB friendly] for tomorrows BBQ. Not going down to the Memorial Services tomorrow as Leo can't stand that long and he doesn't want to sit on a beach chair for the event. Our DD didn't call all week and we found out from her brother that they went to Hershey Theme Park for the holiday. Was she afraid that we would upject, that they didn't come up here to see us. Kids are sometimes funny.

Have a wonderful weekend what left of it.

Hugs BB

Today I will not ever look at bread or anything that even looks like a carb...
Water,water,water!!!

update...I got the results back from my CT scan, they found a small 5mm nodule on my pancreas, and of course they don't know what it is.. I have an appointment w/a specialist on Tuesday....great more tests...
More updates to follow...

Good morning. We had a hot day yesterday followed by rain so it's steamy here this morning.

I was up at 5:30 this morning - Lucy's back! The milk bar is nor completely closed so she's a bit uncomfortable. I'm going to do a little expressing of milk to ease her a bit. The pups will stay at Morna's because otherwise Lucy will just keep cranking out the milk. Some breeders withold food and water for 48 hours to dry up milk production but that seems so cruel. She was absolutely delighted to be home and could hardly wait to get outside to explore the garden. Hershey was beside herself with joy!

This morning I need to get a handle on this switch to summer clothing. I hate all the stuff I put away last fall! I may spend the summer in a g-string and pasties covered with my Hawaiian muumuu for social occasions. This morning I'll get realistic and see what I can salvage. It doesn't help that most stuff is baggy. Maybe I'll just do large sewn in creases on all the pants!

Some friends are coming over to get some plants this morning so I'd better get into some gardening duds and get out there. The veggie garden was tilled when I was away in Vancouver but needs tilling again. I need to check it out to see if it's too wet before I prevail on darling neighbour Moel to till it again for me. My tomato, cuke and basil plants really want out of the pots and into the earth!

Have a super Memorial Day, American Chicks, and a reasonable Monday, ROTW (Rest of the World)!

Morning, gals! Would you believe they paged me at the Renaissance Fair yesterday? I answered questions and then asked them to page my team lead since I knew he would be home and he TOLD me to take the day and enjoy it. Oh, well, I have a meeting for 9 this morning and need to get some work done first. I'll be around but I don't know if I'll have any time to even lurk. Those five servers are calling me. And I'm also doing laundry since I am out of bras and having to wear a sports one. Just too much going on.

DH and Brian are driving quite a ways today for a train show so I'll be home all day to work undisturbed once they wakeup and leave.

Good Morning Barb, Ruth, and Maureen,

Goal for the summer- get these two girls to sleep in a bit on the SAME day!! One always seems to be up early and then the other will sleep until 8:30. If I can get them both to 7:30 I would be in heaven.

Maureen The 'ole alcohol always weakens my Let us know when you find out more about your test results.

Barb They paged you at the Fair?? That seems a bit much! I guess today isn't going to be much of a day off for you.

Ruth Pasties and a g-string?? You crack me up!

DH is off today and tomorrow, so we will just be hanging out. In-laws for dinner tonight. I got a gift card for a local movie theater, so I think that DH and my 4 year old are going to go see a movie this afternoon. That means while the baby is napping I could have 2 hours to myself. I think curling up on the couch with a book sounds delightful!!

Have a good one gals!

Good Morning Ladies

How are all doing today???????????Leo & are going to have another relaxing day ahead of us. I'm making a huge cucumber salad, hoping it comes close to my mothers version. She made the best cuke salad around, but never bothered to take down the recipe. Its more of a oil vinegar base than the traditional mayo version.

Can't believe how the months are flying by, Thursday is going to be June 1st.I was suppose to be a goal by my birthday and the end of June, don't think that will happen.Maintained at 153 this week,So I lost 2 lbs this month. Thats Ok with me,now if I can lose to 2-lbs a month that will take me until Nov to hit my weight goal.UMMMMMMMMM!! So I'm gong to give myself until Dec 2006. Hopefully I'm going on the downward trent with the scale soon.

Have a great day Hugs BB

Restartin P1 today after a month of going bezerk with food. Gained about I'm thinking 10 lbs, but to far I stayed OP today. Went to the parade this morning to watch my DD march. She is a Brownie and at the end of the parade all the girl and boy scouts march. It is really nice to see how many kids and parents are involved in scouting in our town. Went for a walk today and am now starving for dinner. Hope everyone enjoys there long weekend.

I'm ready to relax and enjoy my Memorial Day now. I've finished setting up the servers that were my share and I've put in my 12 hours of work. I even managed a quick trip to the grocery store so I think it's time to eat dinner now. I'm glad I'm working from home tomorrow. I still have lots to catch up from that I would normally get done on the weekend.
