I spent a miserable morning yesterday at the yard sale. The weatherman said it was supposed to be dry until late afternoon, but we no sooner set everything up and it started drizzling, and continued on and off most of the morning. To make matters worse, it was cold and windy, too.

We made a grand total of $35, but like Jake said, we were $35 richer for stuff that we eventually would have thrown out anyway.

Of course after we got home the sun came out. Oh well........ All the kids came over for supper, and we grilled chicken and corn-on-the-cob and I made a yummy fruit pizza for dessert, so the day ended on a wonderful note after all.
This morning we visited several nurseries to get some hard-to-find plants for the planters, so I'll be working in the garden for most of the afternoon. We got some beautiful plants, and I'm really excited to make up my arrangements. There's no way I'm paying what they want for planters already done up, so I find the plants they use for the arrangements and make up my own at a fraction of the cost, and they look identical to the expensive ones.
Well, time to go ruin my manicure!
