Well ladies my lazy days are over. DH had all day and night off yesterday to help me pack. my BIL was out of town so instead we spent all day with SIL and neices to help keep them occupied. Brought home some boxes and pretended to pack but then CSI came on. On the schedule for today 7 hours at my at home job, go get the keys for the new place, pack as much as I can, then go shoot a basketball game for the paper. After that pack pack pack some more....god I hate packing. I am sure you guys are sick of me ranting about it too lol! Was not OP yesterday had a beer during happy hour, feeling stressed lately.

SOON - I am getting the coffee pot started for myself in just a minute - I am TIRED!

wild - OMG that would be so hard to deal with. You sound like you are very committed to your career and he is very committed to you I could see how you would be excited about Fridays.

kyemom - sometimes it is just nice to have some wind down time isnt it? Mine will be just the opposite I am packing and moving the WHOLE weekend. Then I get to unpack and clean the old place - fun fun fun eh?

Demeter - ooooh I love mongolian grills. So nice for this plan, since you get to basically pick everything. The one by me even has brown rice so it is possible to go there and be OP. Have fun!

I hope everyone stays OP today

Hi chicks! So it is Friday! I was actually up pretty early but the Internet at school was DOWN until 11:00. Crazy! This week actually went by super fast, I'm amazed! No exciting plans for the weekend. Going out to dinner with the parents tomorrow night then having a restful Sunday. I'll probably try and work with the doggies a bit on their training over the weekend. Maybe I'll get some reading and unpacking done too.

wildlifebio ~ I did the long-distance thing with my DH for 2 1/2 years (before we were married) and it was a big test of our relationship, that's for sure! Well worth it though. I hope you have a great time with your DH this weekend!

Barb ~ I was thinking about making those cookies sometime soon (like I need more in my life, right?). I'm glad that you liked them. That gives me extra incentive to get in the kitchen and start baking!

Demeter ~ That sounds like such a fun restaurant! Enjoy your dinner!

Stephie ~ Good luck with the move! No worries about the ranting and complaining - that was me this time last week!

All the rest of you, have a wonderful, wonderful weekend, and I'll talk to you again soon!

Default Finally Friday

So much work to do today ... I must call several legislators who are usually tres difficile to get in touch. Don't they realize I'm important and they should call me back? (I'm not, really.)

I wish weekends were more restful for me, but I usually babysit my niece (an active 16-month-old) and try to do work. And it's so hard not to cheat at my parents' house, where I go most weekends. I have to remember to bring my own food along, so I won't submit to whatever pizza, fried fishies or Chinese food they get.

However, I must have eaten or drank something bad yesterday ... my stomach has been cooing, pigeon-like, at me for hours. Accchhh. It might have been a coffee w/nonfat milk and Splenda. I don't normally drink coffee, but I was going to be out quite late.

The coffee also caused me to be SCOLDED by an employee of the restaurant where I was attending a meeting (but not eating dinner). D'oh!

So little sis called me last night telling me how bad/depressed grandma is. It's the worse ever....making me feel really bad. So I sent my grandma some flowers (the "all about me" bouquet!)& I called her today & she's fine. She was upset because the flowers were not from a "feller" My grandma is silly! And is sister is a pain in the neck...grr! I'm off to fix dinner & goto bed!
