Annarenee, I can SO relate to having tons of books to read and not enough time!

I have two boxes of books I bought at used book sales, used book stores, and at half.com...not to mention the list of 30+ I'd like to read, and the ones I keep putting on hold at the library...

I have way too much that I'd like to read! I loved
Wicked, so am really looking forward to reading
Son of a Witch. I've loved all of Maguire's books, but
Wicked was very special.

Sorry you didn't like it, SunLit!
Yes,
SunLit, I liked
She's Come Undone. It made me uncomfortable at times, but considering my lifelong battle with food, I really took a lot of it to heart. Yeah, I finished
Breathing Lessons and though I respected her ability to create interesting characters that were very realistic, the story didn't do that much to me. I felt like it ended in the middle, but I didn't want more. Sad.

But I'm glad I tried it. It's great to try new things!
Jessie, I love Maeve Binchy too. <happy sigh> She's fabulous! I've read every book of hers that I could get my hands on through the library...then I bought a couple. I don't think I've read the one you mentioned, though.
It's so fun to hear what you are all reading!
Million Little Pieces is on my list...I have a copy a friend gave me, but haven't read it yet. I feel like it's one of those books I
should read but don't really want to read. However, some of those have become my favorites!
I just finished
Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler, and am almost done listening to a book on CD called
Freakonomics. It's really mind boggling and not at all my usual genre. It's a non-fiction piece about the questions an economist asks (and finds answers to) about the world. Weird questions like, "If crack dealers make so much money, why do they still live with their mothers?", "What do realtors and the Ku Klux Klan have in common?", "Do Sumo wrestlers and teachers cheat?" "What was the real reason for the huge drop in violent crime in the 90's?" (you'll never believe what he found!). It's really engaging and very interesting.
I'm trying to decide between books right now. I have two from the library, both self-help (
A Course in Miracles and one by Melody Beattie that is about loving yourself) that are overdue (I renewed them...but they're due back soon), I really want to read another Geneen Roth considering that my eating seems out of whack, but I also want to read something for fun! I have the newest book from my favorite author of all time, Sarah Waters, on hold at the library and I think I'd really prefer to read that first.

I'm praying that I'll like it--she has written three books that take place in the Victorian Era in England and are quite Dickensian in tone. This one takes place after WWII, so we'll see if the move in time period changes her writing. I hope not!
