Ruth: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I know what you mean about all the posts. Must be the new years resolutions!!

Schatzi: I'm sending good MAN chicken vibes your way ! I'm sure he'll get what he wants! Oh, and BTW, I added a new little rattie to my bunch. And guess what I named him? Cecil! I loved the name...and needed a rat to go with it !

H-ko: Ohio Gozaimasu!! I lived in Japan for 3 years as a teen and learned to speak it pretty well. I still remember a bit here and there!

Soon: Sending good promotion vibes your way!

Everyone else: HI!! Sorry need coffee NOW!!

I just came back from weigh in * drum roll* I lost 3 pounds for a grand total of 9 pounds on phase 1. I think I did not lose more because I did not eat enough and the past few days I skipped breakfast. I am a little nervous about phase 2, but I will only do one whole grain or fuit a day and step up my workouts. I am one of those people who need to eat to lose weight. My body shuts down when I skip meals. So I will make sure I have my snacks, which I have not had this week. But I am happy. there is 9 pounds less of me.

Hi All!,

First of all, Happy Birthday Ruth! Enjoy your "me" day!

H-Ko, do pursue the career that you will love - it makes all the difference in the world. I'm 58 and have the best job in my whole life! I work with animals, cleaning their teeth w/o anesthesia. I'm self employed - since Joe is retired, he does all the driving, talking with clients, etc. All I want to do is love on the dogs and clean their teeth! Right now things are tight - we had to cancel 3 clinics due to few appointments. But, for the most part we do pretty good. So, if I can add my two cents, pursue what you love. There was a book I read years ago (can't remember the author) "Do What You Love and The Money Will Follow." Great advice. I never was able to do that because I needed a "steady" income. Once I moved to my ranch (which is in a cheaper area of California), I was able to follow my heart. Your family will benefit in the long run from you being happy and content in what you do. Good luck to you!

Joanne

Default oh and....

I guess I wasn't done again.............hmm maybe I have ADD. So about me, it is day 14 of phase one and it really hasn't been too bad. I think having my dh do this with me has made it 100% easier. Of course I've gotten pretty good at phase one too . I'm about 32 degrees "out there" but I'm going to bundle up and go for a run.

DH got home last night and we're just going to enjoy the day. HOpe you ladies have a wonderful day!

Hugs

Morning all!
Sounds like everyone is ready to face the weekend head-on. I have to work both today and tomorrow which actually helps to keep me OP. The only thing I don't seem to get enough of those days is veggies. So this morning I had a small spinach fritatta for breakfast and some turkey bacon.
I strayed a bit yesterday but managed to take a long walk last night. If I can hang in there all weekend Monday's weigh-in should be good. It's been a rough week with TOM, too much rain, and a DH who has been under my feet all week with the TV blaring from morning 'till night. I love the guy but his dispatcher had better call him into work SOON or I won't be responsible for my actions. LOL
Oh....Happy Birthdy Ruth! And congrats Chilichick on your loss!

Have a great day everyone!

Wish me luck for "lunch"! I just went down to the market for my paper and Betty let it slip that "lunch with Claire" is going to be 50 people with a catered meal! Oy! Give me strength! My friends know me so will probably have ordered some salad stuff but I know there will be a birthday cake. (Betty is the baker at the market and got the order!)

There are no secrets in a small town!

By the way, we are in the middle of a blizzard and the temperature has dropped down to 20ºF from 42ºF at 7 AM. I love Canada in January!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH!!!

Chilichick big congrats on your loss!!

Me I'm spending the whole day with my mother taking her shopping. I think I have myself ready for it and won't let her sabotage my WOE like she usually does. Other than that not much going on in my side of the beach.

Well I need to get going or I won't get mom out and shopped till she drops and be back before hubby gets home from work. Hi to everyone and hope you have a great OP day and weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH!!!

Jake and I went to a Pa. Dutch smorgasbord for breakfast today, and I think I handled it pretty well. I had a veggie omelet (popular breakfast choice here today!) and some baked oatmeal. The oatmeal was definitely NOT Phase 1, but I love it, it's an Amish specialty, and I'm making up for it by just having a veggie salad the rest of the day. Oh, and I had some real bacon, too.

Hellooooooo everybody! What a glorious day! I slept until 9:30 when Terry woke me up, but I feel fantastic. For those of you Ph1 chicks who are bored with your veggies, you MUST try the Green Giant Broccoli with Three Cheese sauce. I'm always looking for a way to get my veggies in, and it's WONDERFUL. I'm eating it right now. Half the bag is 150 cal, 4.5g fat, and 6g fiber. YUM.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTHIE!!!!!!!

Schnatzo, you wear a pink bathrobe? I also am baffled. I wouldn't have placed you in a pink bathrobe.

I need to jump in the shower. I stink. I've been recording these SHAPE workouts off my cable's On Demand Mag Rack thing for Molly. There's 2 hours and 20 minutes worth, and I just did an hour. Gotta de-stink! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Ruth - Happy Birthday! It's neat that our birthdays are so close together.

Me - I spent the day at beautiful Camp James Ray with my Wood Badge guys working on a conservation project. I got lots of exercise building a fire ring. The digging was tough in the dry clay soil and then we had to mix 13 - 80 pound bags of cement. We did a great job though. I'm have having dinner tonight with DH, Brian and their train club at a Mexican restaurant. I don't remember exactly what I order but I was able to eat there OP last year so I should be okay.
