Why are you supposed to avoid gelatin? Sugar-free gelatin is allowed in all phases. The gelatin in the yogurt would just be a thickener - if there was sugar, it'd list it, too.
I use Best Foods reduced fat mayo. Fat Free has a lot more sugar, so I don't use it. It's the same thing as Hellmann's - I don't know which name it goes under in Texas.
It's okay and expected for some foods (tomatoes, for example) to have some sugars in them. You want to look at where that sugar is coming from, and avoid refined sugars and other sweeteners that have a high GI (maltose, for example, which doesn't get counted in "sugars"). Most people do find the GFGCG to be helpful - you can always try checking it out at your local library to give it a trial run before you buy (and don't forget - you can buy it from Amazon via the 3FC site which will help support 3FC!).
