Sorry about that, Marianna.

Hey, the time changed in North America. Don't forget to adjust your clocks back an hour.

Good morning, Chickies~~

Well, we bought the paint. "Indian Peach" for the walls, "Coconut Cream" for the trim, and "Copper Coin" for the contrast color under the chair rail in the dining room. So, today DH is painting and I'm "assisting" which basically means I'm handing him stuff and trying to stay out of the way as much as possible. Oh, and keeping the dogs from getting their fur stuck in the wet paint.

It's so early, everyone is still asleep here.

It sounds lovely, Mamacita. My diningroom is sort of melon coloured. It really brings out the tones in my antique diningroom set. The painter was quite shocked at the colour - he's a beige and off-white person. Didja ever notice how many paint colours have food-related names? It's a conspiracy!

Gotta go. Church is in half an hour and I have no clue what to wear! MAybe my pink chenille robe and fuzzy slippers?

Have a super and sunny Sunday!

Mornin' Chicks!

Grannysmith: Don't worry, your new cat will adjust. It'll probably take a while but I'm sure your love and patience will win her over. Ever since you posted about getting 2 Siamese I've been wanting one in the worst way. I love their exotic looks and they have absolutly the coolest personalities. My kitty now desperately needs a friend. He's been lonely ever since my other cat died 2 years ago. The only thing is we are moving to CA in a year and I don't want to get a new cat until we are settled. Plus my apt. now would be a little cramped with an extra fur-body. I can't wait to move to a big 4 bedroom house.....lots of room for more furbabies. We are going to add a new dog and a new kitty to our family.

beachbum: There's nothing boring about a nice BBQ'd steak! YUMMY!! Wanna trade? For some reason I'm not a good beef cook. It always tastes weird to me when I cook it. My bf makes the best tri-tip steak on the grill!! Love it.

beachgal: I didn't end up making the Tangine last night but will tonight. When you had it did you use cinnamon sticks or just the powder? I don't want to go buy the sticks just for this so I'll just experiment with a little bit of the powder.

To all those who aren't felling good: I'm right there with ya! I haven't been able to kick this cold/sinus thing yet. Feel Better.....and have some OP chicken soup! Everyone else, have a great day! I'm going to throw a load of laundry in before I head off the the woods today. BTW, being out in the woods is great medicine....at least for the first hour or so !

I feel terrible thet I dont have time these days to write more personals. I read every word each of you write and frankly I could easily spend 2 hours here "chatting" every morning. So, I type this DS and the cat are leaning on me ,1 meowing and the other brrrroooming like a dirt bike...lol. HUGS and love ladies.
Laughing my A$$ off.
I slept til a glorious, beautiful 8:30am. Lounged in bed for a bit. Made a coffee, sat down at the computer, DH was reading the paper , the kids were watching cartoons, life is just peachy and then AAACKKK! The time change!! The kids and I scrambled into clothes and ran out the door to church. UM! No one was there. FALL BACK. BACK.It was 8am not 10am. Weeeeheee. SO now I am home again having coffee #2 and will have some oatmeal in a few minutes.
I bought a homemade apple pie at the market. I ate one piece. it was soooo damned good. It was a treat for all of us but I REALLY wanted it. Kind of a reward for a week well done. Not good to reward with food. Just knowing it was a good week should be enough.
I need groceries and to prep more food so it is accessable.
It was a good day all around. I LOVE having my Avon booth at the market. I also realized that I am paying $5 for solitude. It is so kid free and peacefgul there. I bought the paper and actually read it. I stamped books. I had adult conversation. The added bonus is that I am getting the Avon books out to new people. An older fella came in. Bought us all coffee. He is the prez of the local Lions Club. He offered to pay for a flyer to advertise all of us and the farmers market to go out in a mailing. Yahoo. I will design a flyer and off it goes.I LOVE this community. I came home and ignored the housework and gardened for 2 hours. It was sunny and breezy. Thern I made a roast pork loin dinner. I had found a jar of prepared kale at the store . I made it up for myself, mmmmm. My Oma always served kale when I was a kid. It grossed everyone else out but I loved it. I burped East Germany all night. AND it is super healthy.
I wrote the Nov church newsletter in the early evening. DH vacuumed upstairs!!!! I watched some skating and then Trading Spaces, tidied during the commercials.
It is all GOOD.

Church this morning and then home for lunch and then into the city to see Grandma and do 2 other hair appts.
Love to the chickies!!!

Good Morning Beach Chicks

Too cold for beach walking, black ice all over town.Have to watch where your driving & walking this morning. Yikes!!! It looks like winter is already here.

Laura-Problem with the computer is solved. DH took all the cookies out on my side of the computer. The thing I had to do was sign in at all my message boards again. Sweet Potato it was, wish I could have the real thing, maybe some day when I enter Phase 3.

Soon- hope you have a nice Sunday

Pearshape- Didn't grill the steak as it was too cold outside. and I don't have a George Forman Indoor Grill. So Broiled my steak and mushroom caps in my toaster oven broiler and it came out as juicy as ever.I brushed Kraft BBQ Sauce(sb approved) on it along with salt & pepper.DH Is the pro at our outdoor grill. I should really lean how to operated it.

Will come back later. Hugs BB

Someone forgot to tell my body that I get an extra hour of sleep today. I woke upo at 8 which was really 7...which was really lousy!

Today I am going with a big group of my friends up to Salem, Ma for Hallowe'en shopping and some sight seeing. It's a long ride but it should be fun. Hopefully, I can stay away from spice-sweetened pumpkin cider and pie and candies and chocolate and-- oh, man I am nervous. I think I'll be okay, I'm bringing a lot of water and some almonds and pistachios to snack on whilst walking. Maybe I will just use all my food money on new earrings and clothes. Hehe.

I hope all you ladies have a wonderful day! Tjose of us in the US, enjoy your extra hour! Since now it'll get dark at what....3:00pm?

Have a lovely day, ladies!

OMG! I took Hershey to Church with me along with the pineapple cake for the lunch at the Fair Hall. Went to the market after Church for the paper and came out to see Hersh behaving strangely in the back seat of my car! She was trying to lick the cream cheese icing off her face before I got there. Too funny! I have trimmed off 1/4 of the cake and will serve it anyhow. She just ate from one end because she couldn't get all the cover off! Dogs are such fun. Big giggles!

Good Morning Everyone... Seems like all is well on the beach - very little panic about the CURSED HALLOWEEN tomorrow My husband keeps finding the hidden bags of goodies - So, I may not have much to pass out tomorrow night - He's so funny - I keep finding little stacks of empty candy foil all around the house - next year - I'm waiting till the night before halloween to stock up! - although - I seem to say that every year and it never works out that way??!?!?!?

So - Off to the office to finish decorating - It's going to be amazing - I'm sure the kids are going to enjoy the layout - We've got a haunted mansion, a swamp and a scary cave! We might have outdone ourselves this year - After the final decorations are done, I'll be coming home to bake up sweets for the office - That's going to be TOUGH!!! But, not as tough as Yesterday - I baked a turkey and DH (the D does not stand for darling in this instance!) wanted stuffing!!! My ULTIMATE WEAKNESS!!! When I was pulling out the stuffing after the bird was dun! I had to use EVERY OUNCE of willpower not to snag a taste... NOT EASY

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

- Penny
