Hi, guys! Busy, busy day (as usual). I worked until almost 2 AM and then had to get up at 6 to make my 8 AM meeting. I have the tree done and we laminated it at the meeting. I have the Velcro on it and it is all attached. I'm trying to get a good digital picture and then we will print it out and laminate it and give it to all 46 people at Wood Badge for their books.
I had to run out to the store and got some last minute stuff for Wood Badge. I still need some more cooking fuel but I've got just about everything else. Then Brian and I went out to sell popcorn for Cub Scouts.
I'm having a yummy dinner of Ham Jambalaya with leftover squash casserole and steamed broccoli. Really good and totally phase 2.
We went biking again today.. My legs were so very tired I couldn't pull the trailer So my husband had to do it.. but we had another great ride for 50 minutes and then met up with my grandma and aunt to have some lunch... My nanna is 93 and had a heart attack recently, so she wont be going back home... but today she looked great and seemed to be in wonderful spirits... she was parked in the shade and put the rug out.. I was so happy with myself for having grilled fish and salad - despite having very off plan options available.
My husband has really been supportive over the past week, and life is so much easier having a partner who also sees the need to eat well and exercise.
It's a glorious fall morning! I need to get that new digital set up asap.
I opted out of the BBQ last night. I felt really crappy from 4 PM onward and wasn't quite sure what was up. I had some black bean soup and hit the sheets about 9:30. It seems to have gone now and I'm feeling myself again. (No comments about auto-eroticism, you chicks!)
Church is at 8:30 (the bulletins DID get done!) and then I will do some mum planting around the Village. A visit to Harry is on the schedule for this afternoon with one of the Girls. It'll probably be Lucy as she is adorably shaggy and will probably have her turn for a fur style this week. The show handler will disagree but I love my Girls when they are shaggy and look like bears!
Now I need to get dressed and do a bit of Phase I menu planning for today. Catch y'all later.
Have a coffee but you'd better bring your own milk as mine has soured!
Looks like it will be another beautiful hot day. We've got church/sunday school, grocery shopping, animal shelter and then hopefully, can get some popcorn selling in.
I almost have all my meals planned and grocery list made. Since I'm back at Wood Badge on Thursday, I only have four meals I'll be fixing.
I DID GREAT YESTERDAY! Followed my Phase I, Day 1 meal plan to the letter and when the urge to snack came over me I just had more "legal" Ph1 food - almonds, SF jello, celery w/laughing cow cheese.
Is it possible that I am down 1.5 lb this morning? WOOOOO HOOOOO
Confession time~
I ate a sausage on a bun with tons of suor kraut and hot peppers and mustard at the fair.
I had an OP supper around the cauli soup.In the eve I ate way too much. there was an NSV in the amounts and I only had 4 crackers along with a bunch of with lf cheddar and cottage cheese.
Better.
I made banana bread for church and for the Mom who is giving me tomatoes for salsa.I had some for breaky. That will be my ONLY BLIP for today.
Has anyone had sucess starting out with phase 2? it is a radical change for me.
Good Morning! Everyone must be sleeping in today. My sleep in day was yesterday and today I was up at 8:15, my usual for a weekend. I've got tons to do today, laundry, vaccuming, dishes, mop the floor, clean the bathroom, plus get some studying done in there. Luckily my house doesn't take that long to clean. If I start in an hour I should be done by noon then the rest of the day is studying in between laundry loads. I hate doing laundry. I have to walk up and down 3 1/2 flights of stairs for each load. YUCK!! For the last few days I've been walking for an extra 45 min everyday. I'm going to walk later on after the fair crowd thins out. I feel good that I'm starting to exercize again! Maybe I'll pull out the core ball soon!!
I walked around the art fair for about an hour yesterday. Ended up buying a matching collar and leash set for Lila. It's red with a pretty white swirly heart pattern on it. I've been looking for one for a while and am glad I could give my money to a small independant business rather than a mega corporation chain pet supply store. Nothing against those businesses, I just think the small local businesses need support too. Anyways!!! Now maybe with a feminine collar set people will stop thinking she's a boy with all her sniffing, and yes, she hikes to mark stuff!! I swear she's a hermaphrodite dog!
What's up for today?? What's everyone eating today?
Drat! I'm still home and had to skip Church this morning. I seem to have an intestinal bug of some sort! A soak in the tub may make me feel better. It kills me to waste a gorgeous day with this crud!
Ruth - feel better soon. Too bad Dr. Schazti isn't here to give you her professional advice!! (And you know she will too!)
Schazti - I'm feeling 100% better today!!
Pear - the collar sounds lovely!!
Holly - you'll do better today!!
Taramoon - great job!!
ME - I'm going to do some cleaning, isn't I did NOTHING yesterday!! Maybe DBF & I will go to the toy store & start Christmas shopping for the little niece. DBF has volunteered to grill out today...probably some hula hula chicken - yum!!
Have a great day!!
Boy! Seems like we have been busy this weekend. Yesterday was work, so I didn't do to much.
But today, I have been making DS's 'book' for his hiatus from school. Been printing for almost 2 hours. And still have to put the sheets in protectors. Oy! DS had better become a genius for all this hard work I have been doing.
I have to admit, I had a ball earlier when we were doing some flash cards. He knew alot more than I thought he did. He only had a problem with a cpl of letters, so the worksheets are going to help. I don't think it will be to long before he's reading. Library..........here we come!!!!!
Ruthie, sending some : your way. I hate tummy bugs.
How is everyone else stretch of the beach today???
After a whirlwind 8 weeks back at work, I am home this upcoming week for Fall Break. Because our district starts school so darn early, we get a week off in October. Works for me!! I am so ready to rest and rejuvenate- I am in desperate need of it.
I haven't been doing SBD or any "diet" for about the last three weeks. I haven't gone hog-wild, most meals have been healthy. I haven't gained a thing, but haven't lost either. So part of my goal this week is to exercise and foucs on getting back onto some weight loss plan, whether it be SBD, WW, or a combination of the two.
My girlies are great! The baby is almost 4 months old, which just amazes me!! She has her check up tomorrow, which I am looking forward to. (with the expection of the shots of course!!)
I am going to get caught up on what you all have been up to!!
Well, I have done okay today on my first day of detox/phase 1. I haven't got my water in. But, I haven't eaten anything illegal! My mom made it hard on me. She came over for a visit and started snacking on Sun Chips that had bought for Saturday's babysitter. It was killing me! But, I kept to my senses.
I did not exercise today. I got a serious case of the lazys.Tomorrow it will be right back at it! I am realizing that I did not pick a good time in my cycle for weighing this week. But, I will just be prepared if the scale doesn't move as well when I am being more strict.
Gotta go get some water! Chicken Divan is in the oven with the timer on!
