Default Good News Everyone!!!

My husband agreed to start South Beach!!! WAHOO!!!

The agreement is that if I cook the meals for him, he'll eat them. I have NO PROBLEM cooking for him if he'll stop eating garbage and lose some weight. (he's 6'0" and 235 right now.)

The problem is, every time he gets over 230, he says "That's it! I'm fat! I'm going on a diet!" and then once he's down to 225, he thinks he can go back to eating whatever he wants. (ie: ) He did it again this week. Monday, he bought all healthy things (not SBD but still healthy) at the store. He got under 230, and then today he treated himself to McDonald's. Sigh.

Wish me (him) luck, everyone. Hopefully the weight will start falling off of him. I can't wait to try cooking the recipes that have meat in them for him. I've liked all the ones with meat substitutes, so hopefully he'll like it with meat in it.

Now, let's just see if he sticks to it and doesn't crack and eat fast food. It would save us SO much money, too!

Anywho, I'm excited. Hip, hip!

Weezle,

That is good news! It always helps to do it together. I will keep my fingers crossed that he sticks with it. Have a great weekend!

That's great, Weezle! I know that it would be a LOT harder to stick to SBD if DH wasn't doing it with me. He said kind of the same thing when I asked if he would join me - that he'll eat what I cook. However he's being very good about avoiding office treats and so on, too. What troopers our men are!

Way to go!! My Dh eats this way too and really enjoys it. it is easier for him to stick to it than it is for me. Right now he is about 200ish and 6 ft tall. During my last pregnancy he gained the weight and not me so he has about 25 to lose.

I hope your DH sticks with it long enough to get those cravings gone .

Have a great weekend Weezle!!
