Good Morning Beach Babes!

I wish I could get a post in earlier in the day...but, alas, I can only get to work so early!

Ellis: Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself at the cottage. It sounds wonderful to get away from it all for a while!

Kyemom: I am with you on spending your life at the field. I am a soccer mom, and when I'm not working...I'm cheering!

djett626: You were naughty and lost weight? You must not have been too naughty! I wish I had an aswer for the breast issue...the only thing I can suggest is...GO SHOPPING!

Sweet Tea: Oatmeal cookies aren't that bad! OK, maybe a bit more sugar than they need, but the other ingredients aren't too unhealthy.

Little chick: I agree with the crowd...you should push the ortho to pay for the 2nd set of braces. You moved forward the first time based on his/her recommendation.

Ruth: Congratulations, in advance! I hope all goes well and Lucy gets preggers ASAP! Are you gonna post pictures of the puppies when they are born?

Mamacita: Happy to hear you are taking a breather!

Pearshape: Good luck with your classes! You should do well...you're a smart lady!

Ruth: Glad to hear the floor isn't gonna require too much work! Backbreaking work that sanding and finishing.

Kiko: No wonder you're tired! I would be, too! I agree with Mamacita. Take those vitamins! It really does make a difference. I take C, E, Multi, Zinc and Magnesium every day.

Artemis: You should have nothing to worry about! College will be a breeze for you, I predict it! Stay warm on the other side of the pond.

Me: Work, Soccer, laundry. Staying OP! Who has time to be naughty?

See ya on the beach!

This is what Sweet Tooth wrote on Monday evening:

Unfortunately, 5 days before DM was to move in, I went to pick her up at the senior's home...that was last Monday...for a dr. appointment. When I got there, I found her body on the floor. Through the course of events - R.C.M.P. and medical examiner attending and asking questions to find out whether there had been foul play - I discovered that noone at the home had checked on her when they knew that she had been missing meals for 2 1/2 days. DH was also out of town as were all of our ministers, so I was in a horrid state. DH flew home that evening and we were able to straighten out what needed to be done at the moment, but we are truly still in shock.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Sweet Tooth.

Ruth~Big hugs are going out to you and Harry

Ellis~~Glad that you had a wonderful time at the cottage (we missed you).

Marianna~Congrats to Grandma, mom and little Connor.

It's cooler today but still overcast. I got alot of yard work done yesterday so today will be relaxing. I was desperate to read a new book and went ahead and started reading The Drawing of the Three (2nd book in the Dark Towers series) without reading the first book. I still might try the used bookstore to see if they have book 1.

Okay, let's see if I can catch up a bit.

Artemis, we're getting similar weather right now, and I LOVE it!
I wish we had a fireplace... or at least a woodstove, like Ruthie.

Kiko, I hope you get rested soon, sweetie. It's so hard having little ones. Just WAIT until they're teens! You'll get lots of sleep then!

Ruth, I've got to catch up on your news... sounds like you're a bit stressed... sending you hugs, hon.
Hey, that's great that you're taking the rug up! Bare floors are the way to go!
(I'm just looking at mine, and they are FILTHY! damn)

Little Chick, that is ridiculous about the braces! I would definitely fight against having to pay for them again. Just what you needed, eh?

Pearshape, hope you're having a great day at school!

Mamacita, I'm so glad you're going to give up the nursing home! What a relief that will be for you, hon!

Sweet Tea, you're doing GREAT! Ten pounds is right around the corner! I hope you get a nap in this afternoon.

Dana, DON'T beat yourself up, girl! We're only human, and you're doing so well!! As for the smaller bra size... I'm actually looking forward to that again. I think the bigger they are, the fatter I look.

Marianna, that cabin sounds wonderful! And very similar to ours. We're on a private lake shared with almost 20 other cottages on 500 shared acres. It's beautiful there, and we don't allow motorboats or other "noisy things" on the lake/land.
I'm so sorry about your Nanna. I'll keep her and you in my prayers, hon. Enjoy your time with her.

BB, I hope you had a good walk on the beach!

Barb, you've lost 34 pounds!! Keep it up, girl! Sounds like your busy schedule is keeping you out of trouble.

Sil, enjoy your relaxing reading day, hon.

DH is going to take the kids to the library, and I am going to clean and do laundry!! And I'm actually excited about it!

Howdy Chicks!

Today is my late day at work. So I just strolled in. I had a meeting with the Soup Kitchen people who are trying to get me to do more than I did last year for our big fundraiser. I just worked a fundraiser for Gilda's Club last week. Sounds like my volunteer season is heating up. Unfortunately my work schedule is interfering with my social schedule Dang - I hate that when it happens.

I worked out with the Personal Trainer this morning. I've kept up the working out part now I just have to nail down the diet part. I'm already starting to debloat - feels wonderful! Except going to the bathroom 5 times last night.

I'm trying to mentally gear up for this round of SBD and exercise! I really want to go the distance this time. I'm getting sick of screwing around with this diet stuff. I've been at the same spot give or take 10 pounds since January! Chicks please send good vibrations this way!

Hey chicks just another quick post. Our visit to the Ortho went better than I thought. It is her wisdom teeth ( which by the way he told me she had none ) are causing the problems. She has a small mouth and the wisdom teeth are fighting with the 12 yr morals for space cuasing them to be impacted. So we have to have the wisdom teeth out. I was doing a little dance of joy as my poor dd was in tears. I think she would have rather had to have braces again then here that news. Anyway we have to wait for them to send the report to the dentist and then we will have to be sent to another dentist that will take the wisdoms out. The good news is that there is very little root is any at all so he says it we do it soon then it will correct the problem. Other than that they can not believe that her teeth are perfect. ( which kinda amazes me as the was the whole reason to put them on in the first place.) But I guess most kids don't wear their retainers and then they shift. She does have one eye tooth is the front that has moved a bit so for the next two weeks she has to wear the retainers 24/7 then she can go back to just night time wear. I guess I will have to toughen up a bit on her wearing them. Well I must run. I need to get the wee ones their snacks and then start thinking about getting ready to head to the store for my shift. I leave right behind the kids. I hate the rush but enjoy myself once I get to the store. Can't wait to see what new fall clothes came in today. Have a great night chicks.

Ps great to see you back Ellis. Missed you.

Hey chicks.

I'm back, but a moocow. So much for Phase 1 and being skinny by the 9th. I'm trying to be good in between all these "Irish Wakes" and eating out and what-not, but it's been really hard. First the wedding, then the wake (and then an Irish Wake,) then the funeral (and another Irish Wake,) and now I'm home with still no OP food in the house, and have to leave Saturday to go back to Chicago AGAIN and eat more food that I shouldn't be eating. Then when I get back, I have to take my MIL to dinner for her birthday.

Roar. (Yes, weezles roar.)

I'm going to try to just eat some garlic broccoli/cauliflower tonight, but we'll see how it goes.

The funeral was the saddest thing I've been to in a long time. They shut down the city of Elgin for it. The funeral procession to the cemetery was a mile and a half long, and they had policemen in every intersection, directing traffic, making sure that people let us all through.

There's a really nice story about him at http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/o...,3752705.story.
Just kind of talks about the kind of person he was. I don't know if it's my computer, or what, but you might have to register to read it. I'm not sure.

Anywho, need to eat some vegetables. Talk to you all later.

Hey ladies! Whew!! Today was a loooong one. My class today seems much more enthusiastic than my tuesday one. I'll try to see what I can do to get a bunch of non-bio majors enthused about it. After a long day of teachingt and classes I went to the lab at about 5:30 to quickly read some samples.....yeah right! Turns out the file I needed to read them had been deleted by someone else. So I spent 1 1/2 hours trying to redo it. Luckily the person who accidentally deleted it helped me since she knows more about that computer program than I do. It was after 7 when I said "Screw it!!!" and just came home. I'll read them tomorrow. Other than that it was a great day! Had lunch with some girlfriends and stayed completely OP! WooHoo!!

kyemom: Geezz!! That's a hard one to call! Your prof might be brilliant but not be able to explain anything worth s*** or maybe he might not be sick to death of teaching and is great! Good Luck with that. I struggled through 5 semesters of math for my BS so I feel ya!! How high do you have to go? I went to CalcII...I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy !! Oh, and if you want to see what his past classes grades were, go to picaprof.com. Hope it's ok to put other links in here!!

Marianna: I'm in graduate school studying soil respiration. Geeky stuff !! I'm fascinated by evolution since I grew up with all sorts of misinformation about it. It is the glue that ties all other biology fields together. And anthropology is interesting too but I didn't get to study it too much as an undergrad. My first semester in college I accidentally signed up for a senior level archeology class and noone caught in until midterms. I loved that class...but man did I have to study my @$$ off for it.

Beachbum, Barb1037, and ellis: Thanks for the good wishes! I will need every bit of good vibes to get through this semester!! And I am sending them out in return!!
