South Beach! I've never done Zone but I've heard it's a lot more difficult to follow and more expensive. SB is something that you can realistically make a lifestyle rather than a temporary crash diet.

WW CORE program is much like South Beach. Of course, we all think South Beach is better in this Forum! The Zone is tricky but OK if you like figuring out formulae.

They all work, if you stick with them, so that's the real trick. Find one that fits your personal tastes. The zone is tricky, as the others said, because you have to carefully measure out blocks of each protein, carbs, and fat for every single meal. You can't just eat what sounds good. South Beach is more lenient.

I would suggest looking at the approved food lists and some recipes for each plan and deciding which you think you can live with. Both the zone and south beach have lists of foods you can eat, and lots of foods you can't eat, unlike weight watchers. If you don't like what you are eating, you're more likely to go off your diet, so give it some thought before you make a choice

Trust me, you want to do South Beach. I tried The Zone and it's a pain in the a**. Plus they limit you to 1200 calories a day, which is way too low for me. If you eat the right foods you can eat more and still lose weight. I'm on phase one for the second time and have lost 7 lbs so far.....and that's with major cheating the whole of last weekend plus that TOM. I eat more than I did the 2 days I was on the zone diet and feel much better. It's unrealistic to expect to be able to measure exact amounts of fat, protein, and carbs for an extended period of time. This website is great and has been a lifesaver since I found it last week. So grab your towel and join us future thinner and healthier chicks on the beach !!
