Default I'm not eating enough!

Hi everyone
Since the second week of phase 1 my appetite started diminishing. Today is my 4th day of phase 2 and I'm hardly eating anything. I'm the type of person who eats all day, but now I have to force myself to eat!
What's going on? I know this is not good, this will lower my metabolism and make it harder to lose weight, plus I'm sleeping alot, probably because of lack of energy. But I simply don't feel like eating? What can I do? Help!

Born, I think you ought to see a doctor to find out what might be happening, okay? Are you drinking enough water? (at least 64 oz or 2 liters a day) That can make you lethargic and makes me not as hungry.

Other than forcing yourself to eat (which isn't fixing the original problem...I don't really have any suggestions. Please see a doctor and let us know what you find out, okay?

I had this same thing happen to me. It lasted about a month. I think it was because I was so used to every meal being carbs and really, really bad carbs that I wasn't used to the FULL feeling that healthy carbs, proteins and most importantly veggies gave me. Believe me I am back to myself now! Although I don't tend to want to graze like I used to. I eat only when I feel hungry, which is for the planned eating times: bfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and dessert (sometimes). I drink plenty of water and only have one or two caffeinated beverages a day. If you are worried I would go to the Dr.

BeachGal is a great source and is obligated to err on the side of caution. I personally, and I am not a moderator, would hold off a week atleast and see if you find your normal rythmn.

I hope this helps

Good point, Sunny Bunny. I dont think anybody ever starved to death in a week! You realize that we MODs need to be very careful - note the disclaimers in our signatures. Someday, when I'm fired as a MOD, I'll be able to post what I really think of some posts!

Ruth...You are supposed to be nappin!
I agree I can remember losing my appetite as well when I first started but think it is a lot to do with the change of foods and habits. IMHO!
Keep us posted!

Thanks for understanding, Sunny Bunny. Yup, we mods have to be cautious, but I'm a worrywort, so I know I would be in the doctor's office as soon as I noticed something odd. That may be why he never has any room for appointments with me nowadays...

I'm glad someone else had this same situation and can relate. Thanks for shedding some light on the subject, Sunny!

Born, this happened to me to, but then it passed - LOL. During that time I would be sure to eat some veggies.

Your location is listed as UAE - is that United Arab Emirates? If so, its pretty hot there and the heat often makes people tired and not hungry. Be sure you are getting enough water.

Thank you all! This forum is wonderful
Okay so here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to up my water intake, yes it is really hot here and I'm probably not drinking enough, and I'll wait for a couple of weeks just until the exam madness is over, and if this persists then I'll go see a doctor, maybe I'm anemic.

Sounds like a good plan, Born. Since I've joined South Beach Diet and been eating the right foods. I'm not as hungry.
