Smile Making the switch to the Beach

Hey All,

I have been low carbing for a year now and am down to my last 12 pounds but I have been here for months now so I think I need a change to jump-start my weight loss again. I am a little nervous with the low-fat and no-fat products because of the carb counts. It's nice to know all of you are here for me for when I get stuck (or confused). Thank you in advance. I read the book from cover to cover last night and it doesn't seem to be much different that what I have been doing except for the low fat/no fat items. Any advice is appreciated.

Becka,
This is one of the easiest plans I've been on. It's not about counting anything. It's about healthy carbs vs. less healthy carbs. The same with fats. As for advice...plan ahead, drink lots of water and don't be too hard on yourself if you stray. You're beach blank is waiting for you.

Becka,

I'm switching over from low carb too. And, I am also a little worried about the higher carb counts in the low-fat food. However, I do think this is a plan that I can follow in the long run. It just has a greater depth of food choices. I guess we'll see.

Good luck to you!

Hi Becka!!!

I like SB because it really is about eating well. At least that is how I see the diet. It's about eating good carbs like fruit and whole grains (and interesting grains other than wheat). It's also about eating lots of veggies and normal amounts of lean (low fat)protein!!! I see this as a plan I will always try to follow because it might help prevent me from getting to the point of insulin resistance eventually.

Good luck and have fun!!!!

Wink

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

I am so looking forward to fruit again. And I am with you Sandi, I believe this WOE will keep away a lot of the health problems that plague my family.
