Ruth glad you have hot water again.
My windows are looking beautiful they will look better when the trim is around them. The weather here today is great. Makes me want to be outside. They finally just showed up to put the other two in and trim them. I can't wait. I don't even want to hang curtains on them. But dh does not want to give anyone a show. I am going to leave the porch ones uncovered. Ellis we have been in our place 12 years now, these are the last 6 that had to be replaced. I figure by the time I have the house where I want it to be it will be time to sell it and down size. Thanks goodness the bank has money cause we certainly don't, it costs so much to do anything these days. Adia- your wedding plans sound beautiful as does you candle light, could you take a picture so we can see it. I love home improvement shows as well. I have a zillion ideas as to what I want to do just not the zillion dollars I need to do them. Sweet tooth I want to put a sky light in my dinning room some day. Parents I think dealing with teens is easier. Well gotta run again. Sorry I can't post to the rest of you . I will try to get back in soon. |
Ruth, I love that you are going to bark at the girls. I definitely think you should do it! Re. the technician, YIPPEEE for hot water, and go get a bath, silly girl! The dishes can SO wait! My mom always said I should become a plumber if I wanted to make any money. ;) I'm sorry about the eating, hon. I would think that dealing with the emotional and practical effects of Harry's stroke would be really, really hard in so many ways. Is there a support group for stroke spouses in your area? (maybe in Ottawa?) I have to say that hearing you talk about your garden just says spring to me. :sunny:
Lauren, before I forget, I saw this article online and thought of you: http://www.addcoach4u.com/toxicjob.html LC are you getting new windows? Hopefully the guys who work on them are fun to look at... Cottage, you are an inspiration...you're already gardening? I don't know if the ground is unfrozen yet! ;) Have a blast in the park! Adia, I have SO had those days! I'm glad you got some extra sleep...knowing you two you've been working way too hard! :grouphug: Funny about dogs, isn't it? Ours will do that too... :dunno: Love the lighting idea...how romantic! Is your new place in town near your parents, or somewhere else? You'll have to PM me where you are and where your parents' place is! It sounds like the most romantic wedding ever! :D I want to see the gorgeous rock and hear engagement stories...or is it in the daily from yesterday? Ellis, enjoy the hardware store trip. I think your friend should splurge on a double mocha-latte-ccino for you in return for the patio stone lugging. You are such a good encourager, girl! :grouphug: LOL about the windows...isn't it amazing how much money a house can suck up??? Hey, do you think Ruthie's iron fist is the reason she had hot water so quickly this morning? ;) And no dissing support stockings. They are seriously sexy stuff, :flame:  girlie, and I should know! ;) What's PolyFilla? It sounds like some combo of a scientists dream and stuff from the 'hood: "Hey, man, can you score me some polyfilla?" :lol3: Twice, no embarassment, okay? Talking about our colons is all most of us did for the first two weeks of SBD! :lol3: The c word definitely is an issue. I used to metamucil my way through life, but that was causing flatulence, so now I'm a huge stool softener fan. I take one a day, but you can take up to three. The bottle says not to take them longer than two weeks, so do check with your doctor, okay? But eating lots of fibrous foods like beans and broccoli can help a lot, too. And exercise helps keep your gut moving, so that's good too. :D Twice, do start your Phase 1 count from after the PB incident, okay? You really need to do Phase 1 completely without cheats for the full benefits, during and after. Okay? :grouphug: BB, do you have any cloves in the house? If so, try biting on one back there. It's supposed to help. Are you seeing the doctor soon? If not, we'll just keep nagging...get in to see the doctor, sweet girl...an abcess does not mix well with four bouncing grandkids!!! ;) Bamie, my prayers are with you and your sister. I hope you are doing okay! :grouphug: Sweet Peggy, it's so nice to see you!!! :grouphug: I'm so sorry that your mom is being so obstreperous. That has to be really frustrating! Have you been able to talk with her doctors about her moods and such? I wonder if something might help her. Glad you are watching the eating and bravo to you for going back OP. I'm sure you can find some ways to reduce cravings...I sure hope so! :D Jess, it's good to see you too! I've been a bit of a mess lately (singlehandedly ate a half gallon of SF ice cream in the past two days) and am starting Phase 1 today too. We can make it through together! :high: Ruth, yay for baths!!! :cheer: Me: Well, I have a humongalous (sp on purpose) headache...probably from eating all that SF stuff yesterday. I had SF ice cream from a local stand after lunch...a bunch of kiddos from our office made an ice cream run and got it for me, and knowing I was going on Phase 1 today, I figured what the heck...but I got a headache while I was eating it. Too much sugar alcohol or something. :stars: I'm glad to be Phase 1ing it, but boy do I have cravings!!! In the meantime, I'm weighing in around 211.5 still. Can you imagine? I think something must be wrong with my scale...or maybe ice cream calories don't count? ;) I have high hopes that I can meet my goal this month, and I'm freaking out that ONEderland is so close...I can almost taste it! :cloud9: Saw my psychiatrist yesterday and she thinks I have Adult ADHD. Ya-wha-huh? Does that mean I don't have to concentrate on my work today? With all that sun out there I do not want to be in my office. ;) Forgot to leave a recipe for DH for dinner last night, so I have no lunch today...will have to run to the grocery store and get a salad so I have some protein. Not a great way to start Phase 1! Have a great day, chickies! Let's hope the sun starts drying out all the flooded areas without melting too much snow! :crossed: |
Jess, I'm with you! I'm OP today. Last night I wrote out a list of what I could eat today, and I'm sticking with it!
Come on, girl... let's get with it!! :drill: Oh, Peggy. MOTHERS!! Don't get me started. Why do you think I've "adopted" Ruth as my mother? The garden is pretty much cleared of snow, but it's still mucky out there. I do have my seeds started under grow lights, and they're coming up nicely! Stained glass patio stones?! Wow!! Beach Bum, you take care, sweetie... :grouphug: Oh, Laurie, I think support stockings are terribly sexy, darling! crap. put my foot in it again I hope the headache goes soon, hon. :grouphug: Drink your water, and stay away from that sugar! :nono: Well, the darned garden centre section hasn't opened yet, so we passed on the patio stones. All I got was a stainless steel, step-on garbage can for the kitchen. One more stainless thing to clean. It really is nice out... maybe I'll take a nap. :D |
:thanks: Thanks everyone for info. on the big 'C'
So far so good today, a lil less weak feeling and not so :dizzy: !! :cheer: Ruth, glad to hear things are starting to look up! Beachbum...OUCH!! :sorry: Hope you feel better soon! |
Hi Chicks its me again. I went to the dentist and she gave me an anitbiotic for the abcess & codein for the pain. Now I have to watch for the side effects of both. .Yikes:yikes: and stay close to the "Little Girls Room"UGHHHHHHHHHHH!! Sorry for being so far behind in reading the posts for today.
Ruth Happy to here you got your hot water back. Enjoy the bath. AdiaFaith Big congrats on your engagement. and Beachgal Thanks for the clove tip I going to try them right now. Have to go see you in 1` week Hugs :) BB |
Twice, the best thing I have found for the "c" problem is Citricel caplets. It is a little expensive, but definitely does the trick!

I was so bad this afternoon. After hearing the bad news this morning, I ate my lunch at my desk (SB Friendly lunch), but went out for some errands during my lunch break. I stopped by the store and bought some Sugar Free Reese's cups. Hmm...I don't think that I should have eaten them. I ate almost a bag of miniatures (about 3 oz.) and now I don't feel so good. I guess I fell off the wagon. Still drinking my water and will do good for dinner. I will be working out tonight, too. Man, I will be glad when this weekend is over and the stress will subside a little. Then, I can do better on the diet. OK...excuses excuses....I was stressed and then I ate a bag of candy. didn't matter that it was SF when I ATE almost the WHOLE bag!!!! Man, I really don't feel well. :(

Mrs. C, stay close to the bathroom is all I'm gonna say!

Beachgal: So sorry to hear about your mom. Prayers for your mom,   you and your sister.
Boy are you all staying busy. Garden stones, basements, windows, planning weddings, and making romantic dinner lights. Hello to all the newbies that I don't know yet. LC: Is your puppy all housebroken yet? :^: You were still working on it last time i truly checked in. Ruth, glad the basement situation is somewhat resolved. Sorry you have to go through all that extra work and your town folks too. Right now I am watching (while I type) three of my canine buddies enjoying the sunshine, I love watching them play. Laurie, I am starting Phase I (again) today too. :dizzy: I went to the store the other day and had determined I was going to do low carb cuz it is easier for me (because of the restaurant.) Then when I saw all those high fat goodies in the cart I just could not do it. I guess whether I like it or not I am a SBD frame of mind and that is it. It really kind of surprised me because I thought I was struggling so much because I just could not decide for sure what I wanted to do. I am hoping this realization will make it easier for me to make good choices. Sorry about the ADHD diagnosis, my youngest son has it, but now you know what you are dealing with so you can deal with it better. Ellis: No garden stones, darn it! My dh and I have so much work to do when the kids get out that I cannot even get focused enough to get started. New floors for sure, every room needs painted, new molding, it will look good when we get done though and for that I am so thankful. :D I will be leaving on the 10th for a five day road trip, gonna be fun. :cb: I don't have too much trouble eating out because we pretty much seek out places that actually cook real food and not microwave chefs. Usually some minor alterations and we are legal. My biggest problem is not eating as timely as I should :eating2: . So this trip I am packing all my own snacks so I don't have to depend on stopping at convenience stores. :hun: Wish me luck this one hundreth time on Phase I. :goodluck: The difference is this time I am going to stay with and lose some weight because I have new information (I know that my brain has accepted SBD as a WOL, just have to get the body working with the brain.) I am happy to be down 11 lbs but I am so overweight that just is not enough. Everyone have a wonderful day. |
mrscharleston - I love those SF Reese's cups but remember that they have sugar alcohols and can cause a really messed up stomach. I don't remember how many calories but they do add up. I don't even buy the SF stuff any more.
Ruth - glad you have hot water again. Me - Still super busy. I haven't made it to workout this week which is a pain but there is just too much going on after moving work locations. Eating has been fine. Tonight will be Ham, zucchini, asparagus with WW penne and a sauce made of fat free evap milk. This is one of the meals my son loves best. I've got an appointment to donate blood on Saturday and I remembered to make it after my Powerflex class so I could handle the weightlifting. I almost made it before class! |
Yeah, now I remember what it felt like to eat too much candy (like I used to when I was a kid.) My stomach is really not agreeing with me right now. I think I'll lay off the SF candy for a while!!!

Hello everyone. I just got back from the dentist - which I hate going. This is my first visit in 2 1/2 years. I had to get a filling refilled because it fell out. The dentist scolded me for waiting & not flossing. Needless to say, my mouth, teeth, face HURTS!!!
I'm going to bed - see ya later! |
Soon2bfab: Hope you mouth quits hurting real soon. I hate the dentist too! Bet most everyone does. I love how my teeth feel after a cleaning but...
mscharleston: I love those sf candies but I hate the trips to the bathroom when I eat them so I quit eating them. Even moderation doesn't work for me. Barb, dinner sounds yummy. :hun: |
Now if Twice could get together with Mrs C we'd have some regularity on this board.... ;)
