Talking Hump Day 3/30

Morning all!

I get to start the thread! My weigh in not so good - Up two pounds - but we ate pizza last night so we wouldn't dirty dishes. I'm not going to worry too much.

If I can't get to a computer I won't see you guys for 10 days! Be good!

Visit the beach cam at the motel down the street from us. http://chateau-motel.com/cam/

Amy, have a wonderful time, hon! Make sure you spend a lot of time standing in front of the web cam so we can see you.

Bamie, I started my seeds a few days ago... I'm catching up to you!
The weather here has been great! 13C (54F) yesterday, and we're looking forward to the same all week!

Going to make coffee... back shortly...

It's six am, and there's no one by the pool or on the beach. Although I did see a small animal slinking along behind the deck chairs. He's probably in the pool now, doing the backstroke... I'll go and check...

Amy, have a great vacation! We'll miss you, but are looking forward to seeing some pictures!

Bamie, I just can't wait to start planting flowers! My bulbs are popping up everywhere and today is supposed to be in the 60's, so it won't be too much longer before I can play in the dirt!

Ellis, I used to plant seeds, but I don't have the patience it takes to wait for flowers, so now I just do it the easy way and buy the bedding plants. I'm going to have the little ones start some flower seeds in empty egg cartons, though, so we can have fun watching them grow. I missed you the past few days!

The usual stuff is happening here today - grocery shopping and babysitting. It's going to be a great day to be outside, so I want to get some tidying up done in the yard and gardens, too. I'm not sure what's on the menu for supper, I'll see what looks good at the supermarket.

Morning chicks.... not much going on here just waiting for the wee ones to show up. It is gloomy here, not sure if we are going to get rain or snow. Can you believe it.

anchor- hope you have a great vacation.
Bamie- have fun planting.
Ellis- another one who plants. I wish I would take the time. I did buy some seeds though for dd who has decided she wants to help with the gardening this year. Enjoy your coffee.
Cottage- hope you find something good and healthy for supper. Let me know I might come over. (wink)
Well I am off to read the other posts I will be back soon.

Cottage, you're a sweetheart... I miss each of you when you're not around, too. It's nice to know I'm missed.
I know what you mean about planting seeds. It is a lot of work. I have grow lights set up in the basement, but the last few years I've said, "the heck with it", and just bought the plants.
There are some plants that I just can't find here, though, so I bought seeds again this year. One is the tall, old fashioned, white Nicotiana. They smell so heavenly, and seem to glow in the dark at night.
Have fun in the garden today!

Good morning ladies,

Not such a good day here. We got about a foot of snow last night and we are expecting more. I guess I won't be walking today because the plow just went by and plowed a ton of snow in the driveway. I'll have to wait for hubby to come home from work to snowblow me out . I will have to do my aerobics and stepper today I guess. Someone kick me now so I'll do it Everyone have a great day.....I know I will

Kim

Snow! Good Lord! I know we will get another snowstorm or two but let's hope it doesn't stay. My sympathies, Kim.

When I took out the garbage at 7 this morning there was a flock of robins on my lawn so spring is definitely here. There were at least 12 of them. Soon they'll pick out their territories and start that lovely song.

I'm feeling a bit burned out this morning - maybe the ice cream treat yesterday? - so am going to take a Vanilla Cream bubble bath and try to get revitalized. There's something I need to do today and I can't remember what it is! Major brain fart!

Good Morning Ladies

My Easter was a diaster weightwise. Thought I was smart asking the Easter Bunny to bring me S/F candies. Yikes didn't I know that the sugar free still has calories Now I'm paying the piper with a weight gain.

Anchor Sorry about your gain Hopefully it will be gone soon and enjoy your vacation.

Ellis Not good with seeds, Don't have a GREEN THUMBhave to rely on planting instead. But thats going to to happen as in Cape Cod we can still get frost up to the end of the month of May.No Spring for us,up here.

Little Chick & Kim Yikes Its still winter :sman: in your neck of the woods.I thought we re bad as we're having 30 mile an hour wind gusts.

Have a good beach day Hugs BB

Hi all! I don't post much but I lurk a lot.

I got through easter okay, only slip was a few glasses of wine (I'm slugging through Ph I again). I haven't gotten on a scale in a while. Have to do that and face the music!

LC, I just found out I have to go to a meeting in St. Johns New Brunswick in June. I hate to sound like an ignorant American who knows nothing about my neighbor to the north, but, um, where is St. Johns? What airport would I fly into from the US?

First of all it's St. John - no s. St John's is in Newfoundland. Where are you in the USA? St John NB airport is YSJ. You'd probably have to fly to Montreal or Halifax and connect there.
