  • Im on phase two and started eatting a 6inch wheat subway sandwich a day at first i thought oh no what have i done but it hasnt slowed nor stoped my weight loss. What do you all think about this ??
  • wooo its time i change my siggy line i always forget about that thing lol
  • If you go to Subway's website and look at their ingredient list, you will find that the bread is not the type of wheat we are supposed to be having. You can also search the forum for "Subway" and find previous discussions about eating at Subway. It might be okay once in a while but you would be better off getting the ingredients put onto a salad especially if you are going to eat it daily. I've heard pro and con about their wraps. I'm not sure I personnally trust them so I usually go for the salad if I eat there.
  • "Wheat" is not whole wheat. Most bread is made of wheat. The only allowed bread at Subway at the mopment is the sourdough. Wraps must be 100% whole wheat to be allowed on Phase II. Be careful.
  • wooo its time i change my siggy line i always forget about that thing lol
  • i dont eat there wraps they taste nasty yuck !!!
  • I believe we have had this discussion before, the only bread at Subway that are OP is the sourdough but even then it is a bit too much bread so you'd need to eat half of it. The wraps aren't OP. The only completely "as is" thing at subway that is OP is the salads.
  • Im sorry i visited subways site and i cant find where it listthe bread ingredients.
  • Here is the link off the subway site for the ingredients of everything. Even their chicken breast has molasses and sugar as an ingredient.

  • thank you nellie
  • I see the bread is enriched and has some sugars in it hmmm. that kinda sucks but no big deal i can make a sandwich at home ( my son permitting lol) I have a 11 month old son so im always lookign for easier ways to do things I will just go back to fixing my food the night b4 when my son is asleep. but here to 15 pounds gone already so im still pleased with that. i been taking in 900-1200 calories a day however when im at work we have a gym so i spend several hours in there a day doing different activities. i burn a good bit of calories a day i just hipe my body dont hit that starvation mode but if i do hit it then i know i need to eat more cals for the excersie i do .
  • If it hasn't slowed your weight loss, then what difference does it make? If it's a healthier choice than you would have made before, I say, good for you. I have been on SBD for about ten months now. I eat things that are OP all the time, and while I am not losing at a rapid speed, I do still lose.

Everyone is so different that I think it's where you are comfortable, and what your body can deal with.

Besides, I agree, the subway wraps taste gross to me. They have some weird spongey flavour that just tastes manufactured to me.

    Just my two cents.

  • Dyna,

I'll just make a small comment. There are a lot of things people can eat that aren't OP but they still may show weight loss. I have viewed SBD as a tool for weight loss but I have also viewed it as a tool for eating healthier and less processed foods. If someone wants to eat a bread that isn't OP, that is their choice but they should at least be aware of the fact that they aren't OP and why.
  • I thought at one point Dr.A said the Subway wraps were ok. I thought I read it in a daily dish. I think they taste pretty gross myself but I have had them in a pinch. My children love Subway. But they do have the salads now.
  • I had a Subway salad for the first time this week -- it was BIG and FILLING and VERY yummy!

Does anyone know if their Greek Dressing is OK? It's TASTY! I have a feeling it's probably sugary.
