  • I also belong to the Y and I love it there. Inexpensive and the Y near my town just remodled. I tried curves once and..not to be gross but the one thing I really disliked was that in the routine of switching machines, you don't get to wipe them down. Or, at least, the Curves I went to didn't. Maybe its different now, but I couldn't get over the idea. At least at a conventional gym you can take a few minutes to clean the machine before or after you use it. Its usually required. Anyway, just my two cents.
  • Well, I have to give my 2cts. worth -

I joined Curves in May, and I enjoy it so much that I go 5 to 6 times a week, and I'm one of those people that hate exercise. What I like about Curves is that all the machines are resistance, and you work them as hard or as easy as you want. Our Curves facility is a large one, and there are always games of some sort and and other activities going on to make it fun, and the girls who work there are a wonderful group.
I went to a Curves while on vacation, and it was small and verry boring, so I guess they are all run differently. Our hours are from 7:30 - 12:30 and 3:30 - 8:30, so I can always find time to go, but I especially like going at 7:30. And I am getting definite results, too. In May I was in a snug size 10, and now I'm wearing size 8 with room to spare!
