Jenne017, you don't need to leave us! Do what you need to do but stay around and post. I remember when I was poor and in college - you do what you have to do to survive. Just make good choices when you are able to.

Mornin' Chickies!

All this spider talk gives me the willies! We live across the street from a river so we have spiders year-round. ACK. Just the other day when the subject first came up I was watching the second Harry Potter movie where he has to go into the woods with all those thousands of GIANT spiders...ugh.. can't stop thinking of them. It was interesting to hear what was said by the bug man, about the liquid spray not working on them since they are up high on those eight legs. I guess it's time for a bug bomb in every room LOL.

Sweet tooth had some good advice yesterday when she was discussing cravings and drinking water. Why didn't that sink in with me? All day yesterday I had cravings, but could never pinpoint it, and never did break out the water jug. I don't know what happened except that I ate too much - a taste here, a bite there. darn it

I've got a potluck supper to go to today and I already know that the majority of the food will not be SBF, but there will be one garden salad so I guess I'll just pick around. Even what I'm taking isn't on plan either, but it gave me a reason to use some things I won't be needing anymore.

Hope ya'll have a nice relaxing Sunday.

Can you bring two dishes so you have one that you can eat? Either that or eat first.

I am done with work now and getting ready to shut down. All the servers are verified and I could go back to bed but I promised Brian we would watch the balloons launch at 7 which means I need to wake him in about 45 minutes. I guess I'll go see if the newspaper is here yet.

Good morning, Barb and Broad! The east looks lovely and clear here with Venus hanging in there over the pine tree. Dammit! Now I'm thinking of Christmas!

Yesterday was a lovely day that included a nap and dinner out at the local pub. This morning's plans are Church at 8:30 and then do registration for the Terrry Fox Run/Walk. A nap is in the plan for after lunch as I am not sleeping well these nights. Rehearsal is at 3:30 so I can't nap too long.

Time to awaken my sleeping Big Monster Mummy Dog who is a lot smaller since she got her haircut. She is ready to roll in three more weeks now! Keith from 4 Paws Inn dropped in yesterday and felt her up. He predicts eight puppies or more based on the feel test which I know is completely unreliable! However, never bother to argue with a male on the subject of pregnancy! I won't take Hersh to Church as I know she'd rather sleep.

I'll make extra coffee but am not doing eggs this morning as I forgot to get some from the Farm yesterday. Laughing Cow cheese on celery maybe?

G'morning, Ruth and Barb and Broad

I'm half crocked on Benedryl this morning. Woke up at 5:30 and my bites were itching like

Ruth If they both have a litter of 8...whoo-eee...that's going to be a lot of fluff balls tearing around the yard!

Today I feed the dragon (do laundry) I'm going to attempt some more de-cluttering and make a meatloaf for dinner. That's about it for me.

Good morning!

Not a good night of sleep at our house... sniffles and sneezing all night long.

Barb You were up so early! UGH!!! Work related, I see. Did you guys make it to the balloon launch? We saw quite a few of them on Friday evening. My DD thought is was the greatest thing ever. She was crying as we were driving away from them.

We are heading to the Cowboys game today. I bought tickets for DH's birthday a few weeks ago. I still have so much to get ready to leave tomorrow, that I am a bit panicked about not being home all afternoon. We need some time together, so I need to look at it from that angle.

Have a super Sunday chicks!!

Well it is a very cool morning here. We left the windows open all night and was very cold when I first got up. It is so different here with all the trees! Our friend from Woodstock, Ga. is over who owns a Nursery/Landscaping business and suggested (as I already had) to pull out everything and start fresh with landscaping. DH had to hear it from him! Imagine that! haha Well today my baby is 13! Oh my goodness how time goes by so quickly! Well another OP day planned DH made pancakes for b-fast and I resisted! Biggie cause I love them and he makes good ones! Take care all and have a great OP day!

Good Morning Ladies!

Yesterday I had a long entry...and then I dunno what happened to it Oh well...and I had included everyone in it! Ruth, I was at work yesterday and was thinking about Christmas as well I can't wait to hear the Christmas music on the radio! Oh and Ellis you didn't miss my b-day...We celebrated it Friday because my mom had to work today 7am-7pm...So today is my b-day...I'm 23 I don't have anything really planned for today...Might go out to Target...and then come home and go for a walk...tigerlily I can't believe how many tornadoes were reported here...it's insane!! I was scared as well....We had an incident here...we were all sitting around the dining room table and we heard something that sounded like a freight train (which is what they say a tornado sounds like) so we all got up and ran to our hallway.....we really thought it was a tornado coming straight towards our house...but luckily it wasn't....turns out it was a power plant clearing it's smoke stacks or something which is illegal Scared us out of our wits (don't they know not to do that during bad weather like that )But on the good side no one was hurt and it wasn't a tornado...I just can't believe all the strange weather we've had....One minute you feel like you're living in Washington State with all the rain...the next you feel like you're living in Kansas with the tornadoes Where's the Virginia weather that I know??? Anyways ladies I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon! It's such a beautiful day here today

Karen - I'm glad you got to see the balloons go up on Friday. They were cancelled last night and almost again this morning. Apparently the winds were high 400 feet up. We waited and most of the balloons lauched. The ones that chose not to risk it still inflated and then they let everyone on to the field to see the balloons up close. It was really neat!

I packed Pop Tart sticks for Brian in my fanny pack and brought along a yogurt from home so I could stay OP and not have to spend money buying food. I even brought a water bottle. Then we went around to the booths and got the cool free stuff (beach balls, yo yo, frisbee). Brian agreed that $2 was too much for a kids ride or petting zoo so we didn't do any of those but we had a great time. When we got home we woke up DH and told him all about it.

I am dragging from getting less than 6 hours of sleep but I still need to plan meals and shop. DH and Brian are going to head to the Allen library to get some kids books that the Richardson library does have so I will have time to shop and maybe get to the gym. I will just wait and see how I feel.

Hey gals,

Not a great weekend for me. Just coming off of TOM and noted the scale jumped way up (190)! Now I know this is "normal", but I want to know when it will go back down!

I've been way off plan this weekend because of it, though I was good all week. I did have some Cream of Wheat, but it wasn't instant at least. Friday night my BF came home from college and we hit the coffeehouse and then fried food at Denny's. BAD. Then Saturday Bry and I were doing well until we went to the Theater to see Wimbledon (LOVED IT!) and had popcorn, though no butter. BAD. Finally this morning my dad decides we're doing breakfast buffet and the place ran out of eggs!!!! GRRR....Carb loaded, really bad. We are out of propane for the stove, that comes tomorrow. I'm going batty here and the scale isn't helping my mood.

I think the scale may be telling me I've gained some big muscle mass as well. I have been OP for this entire month excluding this weekend. On top of that I've been working my butt off to keep up in the exercise challenge. We're talking climbing mountains, biking hills, power yoga, aerobic tapes, tennis with Bryon, and walking 4 1/2 miles every night for the past week! AHHHHHH! I'm working my a** off and the scale is going up!!!

Anyway, just thought I would vent. I've got my meal plan for the week and I've got some adjusting to do, but I will be OP again. October 1st back to Phase One.

Afternoon Chicks,

Just got back to the beach after a weekend away and am catching up on all the post. We had the remnants of Ivan yesterday and today is sunny and cool - fall is definitely on the way. DD is going on an apple-picking field trip Monday. She is 11 and her class is paired up with the youngest class at school as big brothers/sisters and they go on the field trips with the little ones to help out - Fun for everyone.

Jenn - definitely stay with us, regardless of the plan you follow. Also, Dr. A doesn't advocate staying on Phase I precisely so you don't get bored with the food choices. All that will happen on Phase II is you'll lose more slowly.

Mama - I'd have to move out or sleep wrapped in plastic or something if I kept waking up with all those bites (((shudder))).

Ruth - we definitely expect pictures of all these puppies once they appear on the scene!!

DH and I went away for an entire night, just us. A good friend came and stayed with the kids and critters. It was wonderful to have an adult conversation and an adult meal and room service breakfast and everything! Dinner was at a fabulous restaurant with lots of ambience, quiet and great food. They have a tasting meal which works out to 5 little courses (including a cheese course) and wines to go with each course. We started with a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary (15th!) and then I had FIVE glasses of wine with the different courses - I can't remember the last time I had that much to drink

Needless to say, I wasn't OP and I can only imagine what the scales will show tomorrow - it was worth it though . The good news is my schedule is set up next week so that I should be able to get to the gym four days (NO EXCUSES). Now that I've caught up here, I'm going to drag my butt into my exercise clothes and go walk on my treadmill.

Default Taking the Plunge

undefined

Hi everyone - I'm a newbie to SBD and I've been watching your posts for the last month and I've decided to take the plunge tomorrow am 9-20. I've done my grocery shopping and made my meals for the first two days. I've tried other diets but just can't get into the groove. My doctor recommeded SBD instead of the other Low Carb diets. I haven't weighed in but I'm sure I'm around 230 and I'm 5'5". We will find out in the morning. It was suggested to me that I needed diet friends so that is why I've been watching your great group of SBD's and decided to join. Some of your results have been amazing! I don't know you but I'm already proud of you. Wish me luck!

Good evening, Anchor~~

Welcome to the beach! Glad you decided to join us. This group of women are pretty amazing. I've been hanging out here for a few months now and haven't seen any pettiness or the usual %itchiness that you find on some forums.

Be sure to come visit us in the morning for some motivation for the day.

CYT~~
