clove-happy birthday
ruth-18 puppies! I can not image the noise and confusion!
ellis- I loved the Harry Potter movie- Hope you do
beachgal - I think it is a great idea to got to an nutritiest and get another point of view.

I am doing OK. I am down to 222.5 and that is after a candy bar yesterday. My other problem is my neighbor at works as gum drops that keep winding up in my hand. I must be putting them there. They are so good. I have to stop. I think I will start chewing gum.

I am going to work out tonihgt for the first time in 4 weeks. The poison oak is on the down swing. It took forevery to go away.

Hope all have a nice day.

Hello ladies!

I can't believe I'm just now getting to the computer...We've had some really bad storms here....we had to take everything down outside that might fly away! The wind picked up a bit. My older brother was at work and said trees were falling down!!! Everything seems to have settled down here. We're still looking for a cottage down in Nags Head, NC to rent in Aug. I think we've narrowed it down. well i have to go...it's storming...yet again!

Checking in again...

Jess - Hope everything goes well with the storm. There is nothing worse than feeling like the house is going to fall down with winds and rain. Sending good vibes that there is no damage and that everyone is safe.

Well, I can breath a sigh of relief. The awful meeting is over. I'm not sure the staff member 'gets' it, but I will need to monitor to make sure that problems don't surface again. Oh well, I guess it's what I make the BIG money for. Just wish I saw it on my pay cheque.

Before my meeting, I decided that I should go to the track to release some tension. This is the third day in a row - for me that is really something. I might actually get into the hang of this. I don't run, though, but power walk. I have been using a tape done by Kathy Smith. Has anyone else used her tapes? I started with her 30 minutes power walk, 5 minutes of stretches and 10 minutes to walk across campus to the track and back. That equals 45 minutes of exercise for me. But that's a start. I haven't really exercised since I was doing sychronized swimming an working out 5 - 7 hours a day. I guess that may also be why I have a weight problem. Goes together.

We are still trying to get Ms. Poopy Bum (new name for the dog) finished with her anal gland problem. She has been quite lonely the last couple of days because she has been secluded to a small portion of the house. However, DS just called and said that he would take her out and play with her to keep her company for a while. Hopefully she won't be too distraught when we get home tonight.

By the way, there are 10 more get-ups (I count get-ups because I don't mind the sleeps) til vacation. Woohoo!

Have a great evening. Take care and see ya tomorrow.

I'm new to this thread, hope it's okay if I post. Today is Day 4, still doing good. Ellis, I'm so proud of you, I keep going back to your thread from yesterday, it keeps me going. I hope I can get the motivation to exercise soon.

After a day of work, I'm mentally (& physically exhausted). A few of the gals at work are on the Beach, one I talk to about it, the other one is embarrassed for some reason, she doesn't talk about it, so I'm glad I can come here. I'm not much of a cook, so lately I've been eating a lot of lentil soup & beans so my tummy is a bit disturbed . I even had brussel sprouts too tonight with a vegetarian burger (aren't they made with beans too!) Hope I sleep tonight.

Have a great evening everyone.

I'm new here too but I haven't actually started SBD yet. I just can't face the thought of eggs. I guess I had too many while on Atkins for so long. Blech! I just don't want eggs in any way, shape or form, no matter how well disguised. What to do?

Hi Everyone!

I've been so busy lately that I've not made time to come and read becasue I was afraid I wind up spending too many hours in front of the computer. I'm getting caught up on a few things and miss you all so much that I had to come back!!!

Happy Birthday Clovey!!! Hope it was wonderful.

Ellis... here we have mocking birds that sometimes sing all freaking night long. *hug* you have my sympathies.

I feel like my weight loss is slowing and don't want it to!!! I know that I'm going to have to get more exercise. I'm just not sure where or how. I'm limited by a bad knee. I'm thinking that getting onto my x-country skiier is the best way to go. I really want to loose about another 16 pounds before school starts the end of August. I guess that I'm feeling that if I can't get and maintain at least a one pound a week weight loss that I'm off track.

I think part of my problem is that I'm getting kinda sick of salad. I'm gonna have to work on mixing it up!

This saturday is the baby shower that my step-mom is having for my step sister in law that I've been roped into being the hostess of. There will be catered salads (none of which will probably be on plan for me) and Petit Fours (for chrissake!!! EVIL) my best friend is going with me and she's just started Jenny Craig. I'm hoping that we can keep eachother on plan. And NO Petit Fours!

I still have to finish making my gifts (a rag quilt which I'm "ragging" now) and a miniature room in a gift bag.

Back to work... but I'm back to stay... I've missed you guys and the support here way too much.

I hope everyone is doing well...

Lovingly,
