  • Ha! Ha! Garden cart...Sarah rolling by.... ha!
  • Now I want to try it!

    Grrrr...
  • Quote: Maybe I'll go and soak some white bread in hoisin or soy sauce, put it on the garden cart and just point to it when Sarah wheels it past me!

Mauvais, what are we going to do about Ruth? We can't dim sum without her, and she needs someone to sit with sweet Harry. We'd better dream something up.
BTW, thank you for reminding me of my favourite. I couldn't remember what it was called.

Jenn, it's been a **** of a week, hon. Shall we kiss and make up and put it all behind us?

Laurie, Mauvais is FREAKIN' evil, man. She's exotic, too. She looks so good, you just want to kick her in the shins and run off.
  • Quote: Now I want to try it!

    Grrrr...
Well come up to Ottawa, and we'll see who can eat the most!

  • Ellis -- you are asking the lesbian if she wants to kiss? Priceless.

I really didn't mean anything by it. But won't call anyone around here that from now on.

No really, I want Dim Sum now. I remember walking through China Town with my dad as a kid and smelling everything. Perhaps it warrents a trip into NY's China Town and meeting him after work for dinner...

I mean, how much damage can I really do????????????????
  • How come there isn't a smilie with someone spitting out their drink in laughter? Ruth, you know just when to come out of lurkdom...right when I take a big gulp of water!
  • Quote: I mean, how much damage can I really do????????????????
    A LOT!!
Hey, I kiss my lesbian sister-in-law all the time! I always tell my DH that if I hadn't married him, I would have married his sister.
  • So is the reward dim sum or kissing Lil? I'd like to kiss your DH instead.

Hey, Beachgal, how upper are you in New York State? You could come across the bridge and I could pick you up and we'd all go for dim sum!
  • Quote: Laurie, Mauvais is FREAKIN' evil, man. She's exotic, too. She looks so good, you just want to kick her in the shins and run off.
Mauvais, thanks for explaining your name...but wow...good looking AND a redhead AND skinny??? (and eating the rice bundles I want...) Yup...I'm definitely going to have to aim one for your shins. I would love to be a readhead!!!

    :regaining composure:
So do you guys live near Ottawa? DH once had a week-long conference there, and I went along for free...loved it so much! The farmer's market and little shops were awesome, loved the Governor's mansion and the mint, but especially the people and the lovely outdoorsiness of it. We greatly enjoyed the canal and spent a great evening out on the patio at Hard Rock (everyone else was afraid of the rain and headed inside so we had it to ourselves) and then at a small Irish pub with lots of beer and singing. Fun! I hear skating on the canal in the winter is a total blast. Sometimes it is good to be a Canuck, eh?
  • Hi, Ruth! That would be fabulous! I'm actually pretty far south...right near PA, but right in the middle of the state, below Ithaca. We have family in Toronto and often visit them, but have not headed to Ottawa or Montreal for a long time. We keep talking about it, but you know. At least this is the time to head north...we have these great dreams in the middle of winter...you know?

We certainly do not have dim sum here in the middle of podunk...just lots of great Italian bread and pasta. Aaiiiggh!

Anyways, name the time and place, and I'm there...those pork dumplings sound very, very good... Or maybe Sarah can head my way with the gardening trolley?
  • To satiate my craving for Dim Sum I have now eaten 50 too many Chili Lemon Pistachios!!!

Ellis -- I am sure you don't kiss her the way you'd kiss me if we kissed to make up

Now I have a reason [dim sum, not kissing] to venture to Canada again -- unlike in college when I'd go up there just to drink!

Hey Laurie -- I'll pick you up on the drive North
  • I thought it was my Dad you had the hots for, Ruth. What... he has a gallstone attack and you drop him!?

Laurie, sounds like you've seen more of Ottawa than I have. Mauvais and I are right downtown. Ruth is out in the boonies (**** of a lot of inbreeding out there), although she used to live here.
I wonder if that was Paddy's that you were at... they renamed it "Mad Cow".
  • God, no, Jenn.
  • There's a ship load of people down there just ITCHING to come up for dim sum. (not to mention our company and kisses!) You'd better all get together and car pool.
  • It'll only cost me $500 in gas to get there!
