  • Glad you enjoyed those charms as much as I did! Yup, I can't wait to have a vacuum hanging from my wrist, but first I have to get the potato. As if! But there are a ton of nice ones that I really like! I think I have thirty or so bookmarked...can you see me lugging my wrist around?

I love that tinkly sound, too. And I figure that it will also remind me not to do the hand to mouth thing...uggh!

Bridge mix is definitely good stuff...just not good for you. Why doesn't the bad stuff taste bad?

Ellis, I totally get you on reading...it does not seem right to be reading and not eating!
  • for rewards i tend to by myself a new article of clothing, or even some nice shampoo/conditioner/etc from the salon (so expensive, but so wonderful on my hair, lol) since last february i have completely revamped my entire wardrobe because of my weight loss (from a size 12/14 down to a 6/8). so everytime i see a significant change in my pants size, i buy a new pair or something.
  • Got my bracelet yesterday! It is really, really pretty, and the charms are gorgeous! I am really pleased with my reward! Unfortunately, the bracelet just barely fits with no room for the charms, so I am going to a jeweler at lunch to hope that we can jury-rig something. I hate having to do that, but I keep telling myself that if I do, I can look at the extra loop and see how far I have come. A lady next to me in class last night had a bracelet with three charms and it tinkled all night. I can't wait to hear mine!
  • Ellis- I must have the shoe charms and the handbag charms

The beach themed ones would be appropriate though

The frog on a rocking horse one?

Charm bracelets are great! I have two already but I haven't worn them in years...hmmm... maybe I should break them out and add some new ones?
  • Mauvaisroux, I love the shoe and handbag ones, too! How fun would it be to have a whole one of just shoes? There are also a couple of lipsticks that are super cute!

But yeah, some are way weird, like a frog on a rocking horse...but you know someone sees that and says, "Oh, just what I always wanted!".
  • P.S. Mauvaisroux, what does your name mean? Roux is red, but the rest?
  • Found a GREAT site for Charms -- expensive though but you can build a bracelet online -- I may do that and when I reach goal, buy it. Who knows.

  • Mauvais, if you feel like ordering some, let's get together on our order. The shipping charges may kill us otherwise. We'll make the arrangements over dim sum next month, shall we?
  • What is dim sum Ellis?
  • Oooh, Dim sum! It's lots and lots of little Chinese delicacies. They roll them around on carts and you can pick and choose from tons of different things...a little of everything you want to try. Ours have you pay by the color of the plate, and you only pay when you are done. Very good!
  • It's a hoot. Check this out, Jenn...

People with loaded trollies come around to your table. You keep a running bill on the table, and anything you take from the trollies gets added to the bill.
Slim Mauvais can't eat as much as Ruth and I can... it's a little disappointing trying to pig out with Skinny Minny sitting at your table. (you know we love you anyhow, Mauvais )
  • I see you've experienced it, too, Laurie.
Mauvais doesn't like people to know this, but she's really hot for the rice bundles.
  • Wow -- looks too tempting! Wish I had a group to go with. Or maybe I don't -- that could get really dangerous!

So it's like Spanish tapas? [something else I have never had]!

Hope you read my post and got my PM's Ellis. Thanks to you both [Laurie!] for answering my question! Sometimes, I just wonder how I gained all this weight if I was missing out on all the good stuff!
  • ELLIS!!!!!! You just told everyone my terrible secret!

Yes, I admit it they serve these rice bundles with beef inside them that are wrapped in palm leaves and then steamed Yum! But Ellis is guilty of ordering dozens of sui mai (pork dumplings) and scarfing those done so she shouldn't be pointing any fingers either

Ruth's obsession lies in the shrimp toast area

We better shut up now or everyone will be ditching the SBD plan and running out for Dim Sum

BTW Beach Gal - mauvais is French for evil or bad ...roux is red or redhead so my screen name means Evilredhead
  • Who the heck brought up dim sum! Here I sit in the wilderness! Maybe I'll go and soak some white bread in hoisin or soy sauce, put it on the garden cart and just point to it when Sarah wheels it past me!
Next month for dim sum? Where? I'll just put Harry in the barn or something and come to town!
    JUST KIDDING!Well, maybe not!
