I have a question. I am an exerciser & weight lifter (novice, but I do it regularly). I find on phase 1 I have very little energy for working out. Are other exercisers experiencing this as well? What are your exercise routines & how do you deal with fatigue? The last time I went through phase 1 I really cut back my exercise but I don't want to do that this time. I could answer my own question and just add in some cereal or something before working out. I'm curious what others have to say. Thanks!
My god. What a bunch.
Well, Anne, I am just about to leave for a workout at the YMCA. (my second workout since Christmas) I'm already exhausted. I'll probably have a little nap when I get home. Perhaps you should be doing the same thing, hon.
Maybe we should have an exercise challenge for the month of Feb whoever does the most minutes gets to be queen of the beach for the month of March and then the winner of march gets to be queen and so on and so on. What do ya think girls.
Yep, I exercise regularly (when I'm not snowed in that is) including running on the treadmill and lifting weights. During Phase 1 I pretty much just walked on the treadmill and no weights. I had a light snack before working out, like string cheese or maybe you could drink a small protein shake. (Ive read alot of people say their energy level was really low during Phase 1 but picked way up once they started on Phase 2). I'm no expert but I think if you could plan your snacks around your workout just to get you through Phase 1. Now on Phase 2 I have much more energy. Good luck!!
My Dh and I decided that possibly taking to the gym would help boost our stalled out weight loss.
The most expensive......$600 to join, and $161/month
The least expensive.......$40 to join, and $138/month
For some reason it is extremely expensive to work out here!
YMCA is kid central, no offense to those with kids I just don't want a million kids running around the work out equipment while I'm using it, or in the pool while I'm trying to do laps.
Ballys is just the grossest place, so those options are out.
Hummmm, don't htink I'll be winning the contest for beach beauty of the month.
Did anyone start working out like mid-diet and see that it boosted the loss?
Lessismore, it's so hard to find a diet that is just right for everyone, since our bodies are unique. It sounds like your body needs more than you are getting on Phase 1. If I were you, I'd eat more. Stick to what's on the food list, but eat more snacks and larger portions, perhaps.
Pebbles, gyms are so expensive! Have you considered using the money you'd spend at the gym, and buying some equipment for your home? Exercise will definitely boost your weight loss
Thanks everyone. I think this bunch of beach beauties needs to get moving! I must say, my energy is so low. I remember this last time I did phase 1 - I need my carbs to give me the boost to get through a tough work-out. I'm going to get thru phase 1 b/c I know it works but as soon as I hit phase 2 I'll eat more carbs so I have some work out enery.
Oh, Little Chick. Dah'ling, how did you KNOW that I wanted to be the Queen!?
When I was at the Y this morning running on the treadmill, I thought, "YES! I will BE the Queen!!" And then I came home and ate about what I ate yesterday.
I think I'll skip the cigar today, though.
