The week has really flown by; it was busy as always. I had a dentist appointment yesterday, which made something after school every day. Today the home improvement guy came; it is actually not a repair but new window coverings. Seems like we have been talking to them for a month but it was hard to get an answer about the best option for our sliding door.
Food has been ok and I've managed some sort of exercise most days. Today was a short walk and then a bit of pruning/cleaning in the flower beds. I need to start making my weekend to-do list.
Cenari, a new baby sounds exciting! Our leaves are starting to turn and we had some beautiful fall weather this week.
Rose, homecoming is so exciting for the kids! Almost makes me wish I had a girl instead of just boys.
Debbie, I picked the acorn squash the other day; there's still 1 cherry tomato bush that is producing. They are so sweet I eat them as snacks.
It was actually chilly last night and this morning as well, in the 50s. We turned off upstairs a/c, the downstairs rarely kicks in. Did I mention I love this weather. My sleep did get interrupted for a few hours last night due to work issue so I didn't get up til 9 a.m. Still op and the scale moved down another lb, 2 more and I will back where I was in May and continue onward down. I need to get through today and tomorrow but I have no food events so it will just me making wise choices.... picking up DD2 soon so we can get her hair done, she was supposed to do her nails last night with her friends so we shall see if that got done.
Beth even window coverings are exciting. I have started to slow de clutter corners and will tackle slowly.
I have been busy doing chores today. I've got today's laundry done and spent a couple hours outside cleaning up the flower beds. I know some people just let it all die back and deal with it in the spring but I prefer to trim and rake now, especially on a cool, sunny fall day. I made almond flour pancakes this morning and put in a scoop of pumpkin puree in; DH had seen a tv ad featuring pumpkin pancakes. They were good and now I will use up the rest making my favorite pumpkin cranberry almond flour muffins.
Rose, great job staying OP, seeing the scale move AND even sleeping in! I know work was stressful for a while, hope it gets better soon.
Cenari, hope you are having a good visit with your friend.
Have a good day at work, Debbie!
Yesterday was fun, but not op. My indulgances were very limited. Everywhere we went seemed to have 'free tastings', including wine!
I wasn't surprised to not meet my eom goal by 1.5#. It's in my cross hairs this coming week.
We have a beautiful snapper fillet for the grill tonight & veg sides will be op for me.
Beth, the pancakes & muffins sound amazing. I haven't tried many sweet recipes yet, but those are tempting.
Pearlrose, your focus & results are inspiring. Keep sharing, please.
Hope you're well Lexxiss!
Restless night last night, not sure if it is because we had a late dinner since we took pictures of DD2 and her friends for homecoming. They all looked so pretty. Was op yesterday and scale is up today so i am sure it is just hormones will stay op and it should move down again. Today is a county band exhibition at our HS, I am one of the greeters at the gate. DS was going to come over today but they have to meet with real estate agent. DH went with friends to football and basketball games in Indiana he will be home later tonight.
Ceneri glad you had fun with your friend and I didn't meet my end of month goals either.
Beth I thought we were in fall weather but we are going back into the 90's this week.
Today has been a mix of productive and relaxation. I took a walk and made a quick grocery run this morning, this afternoon has been football, during which I managed to vacuum the living room rug. I ended the month down 1.5#; I will take it. Even if I only lose 1-2 pounds in a month I am not gaining! lol I will aim for a couple more in October; the holiday temptations will be here soon enough.
Rose, sounds like lots of stuff going on! We are definitely having fall this week: all of our highs are in the 60s.
Cenari, it's nice you could visit your friend. The almond flour pancake recipe is on this site; the muffin one I found on an atkins site. I find I can have 2 of those muffins and it holds me until lunch, especially this year when I eat the early lunch period.
Debbie, is this a restaurant day? Hope it is a lucrative one, with few stressful customers.
I've got a few things planned for supper this week but need to double-check that I have all the ingredients. Nothing worse than coming up short while cooking.
Have a good evening, chicks. Can't believe it is the end of the month!
