Good morning,

Pearlrose, I am so sorry for your kitty ((hugs))

I went for another long walk this morning, this week it seems I am full of energy, so taking advantage of it The weather keeps changing here in FL, the past two days was supper cold in the morning and had to used a sweater for my walks. This morning the sun was out and shining bright. Also the pollen should be hight because my allergies are flaring up.
I don't have much to do today. I need to pick up early DS2 for a dentist appointment and then in the evening I have my crochet meeting. For lunch I will be having leftovers (shredded chicken chicken with saute onions and peppers) and I hope I can stay strong and don't have any chocolates. The pantry is full of sweets that DH brought from Germany

I hope you all have a good day!

Hi, Ladies. I only have a second so I will have to catch up on your news later on, but I didn't want you to forget I exist!

My sister's surgery went very well. Doctor is 99% confident she will not need further treatment. She is home recovering and I am juggling helping her and maintaining my job. Why do we have to have a hiring spree the week my sister has surgery? (Not sure I ever mentioned that I'm a one-person Human Resources department.) That's Murphy's or somebody's law, I guess.

My best to you all, Kathy

Good Morning,

Kathy, that is great news! I hope she recovers soon. Good luck with the hiring.

Not much happening here today either. I have to clean the house, do some laundry, and I might also go grocery shopping. Did I mention how much I dislike grocery shopping DS2 was invited to be part of the Engineering club for next years, so we have a informational meeting tonight. I didn't eat as planned yesterday, I ate too many chocolates, why is harder this time to stay away from them.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Good afternoon,

My day got away from me, busy day doing testing plus several conference calls. I painted the basement wall with first coat, need to go get another gallon to finish but it is looking good. I switched over to Phase 1.5 for eating so far so good.

Isa that German chocolate is really good, when my half sister comes over to the states from Germany she always brings a ton for us, so I feel for you.

Kathy great news about your sister.

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Good evening, chicks.

Kathy, awesome news about your sister! It must be quite a juggle to keep up with work while helping her.

Isa, I have a terrible sweet tooth. For me the best thing is not opening the box or else putting it in a high cupboard so I don't see it!

Pearlrose, glad to hear the basement project is going well.

My scale and I are in a love-hate relationship this week. I seem to have a hard time with weekends and spend the first few days of the week undoing the damage. I'm trying to make good choices!

I won't even comment about the weather but at least we are finally on spring break.

Last and first!

Yesterday was a busy and productive day but today is a day off; they tacked an unused snow day onto next week's break which is fine with me. Today I need to make a car appointment and a hair appointment for next week plus I will probably do some laundry.

Scale was down a bit today; lowest weight for the month by .2 so I am going to work hard on NOT mindlessly snacking. Our weather looks like it might finally take a turn toward spring so I would like to get some walks in this week. And maybe we will finally see some daffodils!!! They are about 2-3 inches talk but have been dusted with snow all week.

Have a great day chicks!

Good morning,

Woke up to a sunny day, mostly wfh but have to go in to get my new badge, have to have it by tomorrow so I can get in the gates and door at work. I can do a couple of tests while I am there to make it worth the drive in. The scale is holding down 1 lb for me, trying to do good this weekend even though it's my birthday tomorrow so I can be down a few lbs by the end of the month.

Beth I am sure you are glad to have spring break. Grass is starting to get green around here and my front tree is blooming, praying last night was the last night below freezing weather.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning,

I went for a walk early this morning before it rains. It is supposed to rain today and the weekend. Today I really need to go grocery shopping, I also need to do laundry and mop and dust around the house. We already talked to a realtor and we start looking for a house next week. The housing is so expensive here in Orlando. We wanted a similar house to the one we had in Georgia, but here something that big starts in the highs $700 I guess if we want to stay in this area we are going to have to really downside. The kids want a two story house and I really don't care as long as I have enough space to feel comfortable in it.

Beth, I might going to have to give the chocolates to the boys and have them hide them away from me

Have a great Friday!

Good morning,

Woke up to another sunny day. Starting a spring pattern of colder mornings and warmer up to 50's hopefully it will stay this way and no more freezing. Today is a busy day, DH is going to a noon game and then we are going out to eat with DS and his GF and DD2. DH and I went out with DD1 last night to dinner and the movies. Saw I feel pretty, l liked it.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

Pearlrose, we finally have sun on 50 today also. I actually saw a couple of crocus yesterday, talk about over due!! Enjoy your day.

Not much on my agenda today; I will putter around and do a few chores like swapping my closet and compiling some stuff to go to the cleaner's. Oh and I will actively resist the ice cream my DH brought home yesterday!

Have a great day chicks.

Whew! Finally Life is getting back to alleged "normal" for this crazy household - and the power has stayed on all day today - so far!

The Maple Syrup Festival is in full swing but I am not flipping pancakes (or eating them) until tomorrow afternoon. Today was breakfast at the Church, volunteering at the Town Hall Book Sale, checking out the Church yard sale and even a few minutes with my man, sitting in the sun on the back deck. I have a beef stew in the crockpot for dinner and will spend the rest of the afternoon making sandwiches for the Pancake Flippers at the Fair Hall who will be completely fed up with the sight and smell of pancakes by noon tomorrow. Bruce and I are scheduled for cleanup tomorrow afternoon but I'll be at the Fair Hall bright and early to drop off the sammies before Church! We are also invited out for dinner way back in the wilds tomorrow evening. It's going to be a wild weekend.

(I started this post just after sitting in the sun and have yet to do the sammies because cousins dropped in from Ottawa for a drink and a visit. So much for sammie making. Never mind, they will be done and family and enjoying life is pretty important! )

Gotta make tracks and hope the crockpot come through with dinner. See you when things settle down.
