Good morning its lovely here and hope it stays that way. The guys will be here a little later today so I can enjoy my coffee in my pjs. While they do their thing I may clean the garage door (so many dead gnats). Otherwise just going to enjoy not doing anything. Tomorrow they are off and so am I. Meeting friends at 0930 for a bike ride. I wont be able to go out with them afterwards as I will need to come home and paint.
Scale is starting to come down albeit slowly. Determined to hit my goal this month.
We are in a rush here this morning DD2 has to be at school at 8:30 they have an all day band competition about half hour away (thankfully not in St. Louis). The verdict was announced and as predicted last night it turned violent, we have tickets to go see U2 but it is downtown St. Louis I may not go.
Jekel will they be finished after today or come back on Monday?
Good morning, chicks! I have been out to clean and fill the bird bath; it is a hopping place this week as Mother Nature decided it was time for summer. We are looking at a week of sunny and 80*. I'll take it since I know what is right around the corner. And I was about to put away the hummingbird feeder but then I saw one at it this morning! So I cleaned and refilled it as well. I don't know if that guy is confused by the weather or one that is migrating through.
My scale was down a bit today which made me happy. My weight is quite a zig-zag but is slowly moving in the correct direction so I will try to be patient and stay OP. Weekends can be hard.
Pearlrose, I would probably avoid the concert too. Hope DD has a successful band competition.
Jennifer, enjoy your day off. It must be exciting to see the progress on the bathroom.
Debbie, thinking of you.
Ruth, hope life is busy but not too stressful.
DH and I are off to take a drive; the leaves are starting to turn in the mountains and we are going to go check it out.
Beth we are getting a little dose of summer too. Had to put the AC on last night and am leaving it on today. Hope you enjoyed your drive.
Pearlrose I would stay away from St. Louis. Bono will understand. How was the band competition?
Contractors will be here Monday and hopefully not Tuesday as I really do need to go to work lol. My plan is to paint when I get home this afternoon. I'll leave the AC on and a fan running to help the drying process. VERY humid here again today. It's a foggy mess here but at least the parkway is closed to cars for the bike ride.
Weekly weigh in shows I am just under goal by .6 lol. I will lose 4 pounds by the end of the month (sounds better when I am assertive) I know 4 pounds doesn't change my appearance or how clothes fit. I just like have wiggle room under goal and not over it lol.
Ruth hope you get some down time soon and check in with the chicks
Have a great day!
Whew we are having temps in the 90s and humid, the band competition went well, they think they did horrible but it was their first competition of the year they will do better. I was soaking wet by the time they got done couldn't imagine staying out there all day. I didn't have to make a decision though it would have been no go, they canceled the U2 concert for yesterday and the Ed Sheeran concert for tonight. It's not the peaceful protestors that are a problem it's the small groups that come out later.
Today I do have a work conference but at least don't have to go in.
Jekel my scale is just stuck on the same weight I think it's the hormones as I have stayed op so I will just plug along, Glad they will be finished soon with the bathroom.
Beth I think we are all having a blast of summer weather
Hey chicks! Another unusually warm day for us; 80s* is not our usual September temperature.
DH and I had a nice drive yesterday and even stopped for a short walk on a trail we like. There was a lot of trees starting to turn; I love it when there is still a fair amount of green with the red and yellow mixed in.
I'm off to the grocery store to restock. I haven't made an official menu for the week but I know we are out of salad veggie and coffee creamer. Can't live without either of those!
The celebration for my mom went very well. Glad that over. Today I clean out the vehicle and pick up the house. Time to try and shift back to a normal life. I don't think I've had my regular smoothie since I worked on Monday. That's for sure on my list today. Sitting outside on my phone. Have a great day everyone!
Debbie glad the celebration for your mom went well. Take some time to unwind. Enjoy your time outside.
Pearlrose happy they canceled the concerts. I did see a 1 pound drop today, not let's see if its real lol.
Beth I love this time of year. Not that it is fall here yet, but I do love the smell of fall.
Got my ride in yesterday and managed to get the bathroom painted too. That darn muscle which runs along the top of my shoulder into my neck reminds me I am not 20 anymore lol. The room is small but was still a challenge as there is not much room to move around. The color is not as subdued as I hoped. Maybe once the floor and fixtures are in it will tone it down some. It is a pale blue, but looks pretty bright lol. I do love the crown modeling. My plan while they work today is to prune an over grown Pom-Pom bush / tree.
I am actually looking forward to going back to work to relax LOL
Well the good news with the weather being so much warmer is that the morning time temp is reasonable for me to walk outside so I did that this morning. I am wfh today, supposed to go in tomorrow but I will wait and see how it goes today there.
Debbie so glad the celebration of life went well. Take some time for you
Jekel I can't wait to see the pictures of the bathroom so excited for you.
Beth hope you enjoyed your day yesterday, are the leaves already turning there?
Very busy day at work; the robotics club had their first session. Can I say that selfishly I am glad this year's tournament is once again in early December? Last year it was held in late January; I prefer to have it wrapped up before the holidays!
Afterwards DH and i took a short walk; we are having warm and sunny all week. I am not going to complain! But thank heaven for a tacobake that I pulled out of the freezer this morning for a quick and easy dinner.
Debbie, hope you had a calm day and were able to start to get back to your routine. Glad the celebration went well.
Pearlrose, the leaves are starting to turn. It's a nice mix when the branches are green with red tips.
Jennifer, kudos to you on the paint! I bet you are excited to see the finished product.
I didn't sleep well last night so it will be early to bed for me. ....who am I kidding, I may fall asleep sitting up watching TV!
Beth I would prefer early December too. I'm sure even the robotics team gets holiday fever lol.
Pearlrose kudos on your scale going down....lol mine went up 2 pounds and I worked all day!
Yesterday I got a lot of odds and ends done while they worked.Today I went in at 5 as they needed to come back today to hopefully finish. I literally had just enough time to walk Coconut and change before they got here. I did scrub the house yesterday as I couldn't take it anymore lol
Couldn't post on my phone this morning so I fired up the computer. I'm off to work soon. I've been busy getting things accomplished as I think Kirk and I will head to Glenwood after work. Lots of new details in life since I've taken over the company. Mom used to pay all the bills. We may stay 2 nights as I believe Kirby will have to go to the vet again on Friday. He's not getting much better. Poor guy.
Food has been pretty good but I ate more than a few cookies last night dealing with some stress-TMobile. lol. Back on the plan today.
Debbie I hope Kirby will be ok. Enjoy your time in Glenwood
It's hard to take photos in a room that is only 3 1/2' wide lol. Glad to have an uneventful day when I get home from work. I do plan on going to Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up a new toilet bowl brush and a small step stool for the laundry room. Try not to be jealous ladies lol.
