How nice to hear from you all. It will take awhile to get to know you. I miss not having a like button like on fb.

I worked a long day, work as a Movie Extra, a great thing happening in Atlanta. DH &I today. So the food varies. I did better than I might have if I hadn't checked in here, but as I predicted P2 - and not totally whole grain, at that.. My iPhone tells me I walked 2.1 miles. Worked from about 7am til 6:30 PM, days can be 10-12 hours, sometimes longer. I was hungry for dinner, which is a good sign, but my snack was more like a light meal, and then my dinner was more like a snack. Anyway, I'm still committed, and i'll be on my own turf Thursday. (I was thinking work was th, but it was wed).

Interesting that my committments haven't changed since I was last here. I'd like to pull up bedtime earlier.
See you thurs.

Flyby post this morning but the coffee is ready. It's Michelle day, doctor day and a lad is coming to install a new water heater.

Right now there seems to be a drug bust happening down the street and there are cop cars and spotlights on a house that I thought was empty. If they are cops I know, they will probably come in here for coffee later so I'd better get out of the jammies and dressed quickly.

And they say nothing ever happens in a small town!

Good morning,

Yesterday it snowed so we went from 67 on Tuesday to 35 on Wednesday lol crazy weather. It is in the 20's right now. Finally got a decent estimate definitely a local person, lol I called to let him know and he said okay can't say when I will get to it but I will. I need to schedule a vet appt for the cat hopefully for tomorrow. Eating is still op scale was up a lb today instead of continuing down but I am sure it's hormones since it will be that time again next week. I bought a new filing cabinet from IKEA yesterday so need to put it together. WFH today yeah.

Ruth wow my town everyone would be outside trying to find out what is going on lol

Elyse my sister's boyfriend does extra work in Atlanta as well.

Beth glad the weather is warming up a bit for you

Debbie are you feeling better?

Jekel hope you are having fun with your cycling this week.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

I hope the warm weather keeps moving East for the rest of you. It's 50 now supposed to hit close to 70 later. I'm still coughing and feel run down but getting better. I am going out to work in the yard a bit. It's too nice not to. Got major paperwork and exercise accomplished now the doggies are chomping at the bit to get outside since they are on restriction when it's dark. I'd better go down and go with them.

have a great day everyone!

Well, I swear 1/3 of the province's police force are in this wee Village today. Sure wish I was clued in on what's happening but all the officers are mum. Rules, you know. The house is wrapped in that yellow police tape and two of the front windows are boarded up. This is an old frame house slated for demolition so... it'll be interesting to see if someone is parked near there watching tonight.

Anyhow, the lads installed the new water heater, pointed out things that MUST be done to my oil tank and furnace, the house is shining, and Doctor Jack is pleased with my bloodwork, ultra sound and other tests. He also told me I seemed to be happy and back in my groove. (His mother lives in Delta, plays violin in a group that Bruce belongs to so the word is out that the parson and I are an item!) Oh well - if they gossip about us, someone else is safe.

Time to decide on what to thaw for dinner. Whatever I end up with, it must have a salad.

Evening, chicks. Just a quick pop in before I make dinner. Ruth, I am making taco salad for me tonight; DH can wrap his meat and veggies in a tortilla if he wants.

Calm day today at work which is fine with me. Very chilly and blustery today but the it is still light outside right now so we are making progress toward spring! Came home on the early side, got a workout and paid some bills so a productive day.

Off to slice and dice veggies for dinner. Have a good evening all.

Work gets in the way of so many things lately. I'll spare you the drama lol. The riding is really going well, but taking tonight off. The snow did me in. Glad everyone is having a good week. Hopefully after tomorrow I'll have more time for checking in. I did manage to cook tonight. Made balsamic chicken (saw a video on Facebook) I just winged it and it was yummy. Had quinoa for a side (Amy I too find avoiding white flour makes me feel so much better). Made Mexican stuffed peppers too (some will go in the freezer) Even made hard boiled eggs to have with my lunch. (Beth and Pearlrose I pack my lunch everyday too). Still under goal so I must be doing something right. I am fighting off something, I just don't know what it is. Heck it might even be TOM lol. Well time for the dishes and then Jammie's. The alarm goes off way too early!

Best wishes to everyone!

Good morning. Did anyone see the moon last night? It was gorgeous! We are still in very cold weather and snow is coming back starting tomorrow - just in time for Delta's Frost Fest.

Still no news about what went on yesterday. Maybe we'll find out at the Festival tomorrow.

Bruce is coming for coffee this morning so I need to get showered and out of the jammies. I'll make a pot of chicken veggie soup from the stock I made the other day in case he stays for lunch. He's pressuring me to go to visit him in Florida in April but I'm resisting. Florida is not my favourite spot since it's usually too hot. Silly but I also don't want to leave my furries again.

Gotta jet. Have a happy day!

Good morning!

Elyse - that's really cool to be an extra! My brother in law does it occasionally, he lives in Wilmington NC. I didn't realize it could be a job when you aren't in CA or NY.

We also had 79 one day, 31 the next. We got a teensy bit of snow, but nothing really stuck after a near 80 day.

So it is official! I hit 20 lbs lost! I had popped up a pound - I know it's because after my dental surgery my husband made me some homemade noodles that had way more salt than I'm used to eating - but I was drugged, hungry and a very sore mouth.

I'm the queen of the mini goal - my next goal to hit is losing 10% - that's just 2.4 lbs away, then I want to lose 25 by the end of the month when I go on my yearly sisters trip to Naples, Fl. My phone calendar is full of weight goals through the next few months. My birthday is the end of July, I'd love to be at my original goal weight, which is 30 ish more pounds.

Good morning,

WFH day for me, should be relative quiet day only have 2 conference calls. I am taking the cat for yearly exam at 11 a.m. and DD2 has a valentines dance this evening.

Ruth- Florida is not bad in April but we also get very steamy summers here so I guess it doesn't bother me as much.

Jekel it's great that you are under goal and maintaining

Beth I am assuming you didn't get all the snow they said hit the east coast

Amy way to go, mini goals are the way to go.

Debbie glad you are feeling better, DD2 is down to just cough as well.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Elyse! Hope to see you later!

Rose, hope it's truly quiet today. Any plans while DD2 is at her dance!

Amy, congrats on your 20# lost! Neat you have so many mini goals. I think they really help.

Ruth, the moon was super bright in my bedroom window about 2 am. It's always blocked by a tree, though. Enjoy your day!

Jennifer, I guess we'd need a separate thread for all the NYC drama these days. You amaze me navigating through it all. Balsamic chicken sounds good. I like those super fast cooking videos on FB.

Beth, I've been doing taco salad often. I love it!

Me, still low energy so I've been letting myself sleep as long as possible. I made it to 530 this morning. Yesterday had twists and turns. My mom was getting her driveway ripped out for a new water line and they are hot and heavy in front of my house installing storm drain. So, I took her to an appointment, then we went to lunch and headed to Denver. I got my haircut and we did banking. I'm heading down again this morning for an appointment. Maybe a dash into Costco and garden center. Then I plan to take it easy and see if I can make it to 7pm AA meeting. It was too late for me last eve, although I did drop off supplies and do some cleaning at the room during the day.

I'd best get moving again! Have a great Friday everyone!

Afternoon everyone!

Debbie a trip to the garden center Another reminder spring is coming. Hope you get your energy back soon. Maybe Costco's garden center will do the trick. Hope the never ending roadwork ends soon.

Amy small goals are the best. Helps keep you focused and motivated. Before you know it you will be in onederland!!! You are doing amazing. Congrats on hitting you 20lb goal!!!

Elyse welcome back (sorry meant to write that yesterday) I always liked watching filming at GCT. Normally they occur after 2 am when the station is closed, but so impressive to watch. Being an extra must be fun.

Pearlrose what do you have planned during the dance? Hope DD has a great time. I was always self conscious about dancing. Probably because I think I look like Steve Martin in the Jerk lol. The rhythm gene missed me.

Ruth little Delta certainly has a lot of excitement!!! About 8 years ago I was home with DS (still married but was in the divorce process and the ex was off hunting so he said lol) At any rate, I went out with the pups and Mick made a b line for the front of the house. Much to my surprise my tiny street had at least 10 State Police cars on the block with w few parked in my driveway. To my defense they did come in "quiet." I called the SP barracks and ID'd myself over the phone (helps I know how to talk the lingo) There was a report of a disturbance at a house 3 doors down and a female threatening to use a firearm. Gun was recovered. And yours truly had no problem calling their landlord! The tenant (a family) did leave apology notes in our mailboxes which was nice, but still very unsettling what happened. I remember calling my ex and asking for the code to his safe as I had my "protection" secured at work. (During the divorce I kept my "biscuits" at work rather than risk an allegation threatening my career). Fortunately it never came to that although back then anything was possible. Wow that was a long story lol. Glad you are safe. You are over due for a trip, but I understand about not wanting to leave the fur babies. DS will be staying with Coconut when I am away for training (nope still hasn't moved home, but he is going to school) I swear that kid has 9 lives when it comes to getting his rent paid. He sold his 2 non running Jeeps, plus his birthday money paid his rent for January.

Beth do you have a 3 day weekend coming up? Hope you were spared from the snow yesterday. Guess it was us "down staters" turn. We got a foot. At least some of the ice melted today.

Ortherwise its just a normal day here. Getting ready for a healthy dinner then hitting the bike.

Have a great night all.

Evening, chicks!

Clear and cold here this morning and no new snow. Ruth and I are far enough north that the storm was all south of us. Now the snow tonight through Sunday is a different story! Jennifer, DS2 was pumped up that the cancellation of Thursday's classes was announced Wednesday evening.

Debbie, glad you are feeling better but don't begrudge your rest! Did you visit the garden center? Way too early for that around here.

Amy, awesome job! I've been setting mini goals too lately: "get through today" lol

Have a good evening, chicks.

HI all,
LOL, I have to remember not to expect to know you all immediately. So frustrated.
Still doing well, I'm remembering the word "willingness" from overeaters anonymous. Everytime I get committed, I start to wonder if I lost my appetite because of some illness. I'm not perfect - but way better than before. My little cheats put me in P2, which is fine if I don't overeat. Went to a "valentine's brunch" at a dermatological spa with DH this am. Those young women sure know about carbs. I had half a greek yogurt drink before I went, and skipped all but a cpl bites of hubby's food. Then I made lunch out of the samples at Whole Foods, which I know is dangerous, but again, I took it easy, and stuck to P1.

Managed a walk later, so good on exercise today.
