Default new to SB and I'm so confused!

Im brand new to SB. I was on ideal protein a while ago and had great results, but trying to restart I found the diet to be too restricting.

Can someone break this diet down for me? I'm just not getting it.

The last diet I was on, was as follows. 900 calories less than 30g carbs daily. No dairy.

Breakfast source of protein

Lunch protein and 2 cups select veggies.

Snack was a source of protein

Dinner 8oz lean protein and 2 cups veggies.

Is there a breakdown to south beach? I can't find it anywhere

The best advice I can give you is to read the book first before starting this plan. There is no special formula for SBD, the basics are avoiding sugar and white flour, but you really should read the book to understand the fundamentals. Most libraries should have it if you don't want to buy it.

I agree! They are probably super cheap by now and/or the library will have it. It isn't really hard to follow or hard to get, but its more than one can explain fully in a paragraph or two!

Welcome! I read the book and kept it really close to me for the first six months I followed South Beach. It helped me to know which foods were on plan and off plan if I had a question. I found it to be a really easy and flexible way to lose weight and get healthy. Best wishes!
