Morning everyone,
It's chilly here too - but that's probably good for the marathon runners. I'll watch a little of it on TV but they don't go by our house, or anywhere close enough to go see them. I used to live near one of the routes and it was fun to see everyone running along in costume.

I also love fall back. I can't believe it's only 7:30! The day seems to stretch ahead. I've got a couple of things I need to accomplish today like filing, etc. and I'll build in time for a nap too. Tonight is my church's annual Parish dinner with an evensong service, reception and full dinner. Should be fun but I hope to be home by 9. I think it will be easier to get up and exercise after fall back!

Hope everyone has a great day today...

good morning!
It's a warm and wonderful morning here! My Julia Child rose is still in full bloom. I'm hoping it'll last a few more days because we'll be back here Thursday morning.
We are going to help out at the church this morning at 8 attend the service and the potluck then we head back over the hill. There was a possibility of snow on the mountain tops today but we got a super rain yesterday I'm hoping it came through early. I still have the small car and don't want to push things too much.
Tomorrow I work and the tree guys are coming to take down 3 big trees at our rental. My husbands going to have to deal with that. At least it will be done.
I really been having a difficult time with my food choices lately. Life is just going so fast. There just seem to be a lot of unexpected food events. I decided this morning that I'm just going to really pushing myself to maintain right now. That may be the best that I can do for now.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning I feel badly for the NYC marathon runners today. Holy cow is it windy. I've retrieved garbage can lids already and secured the storm doors which woke me and the pups. At least I stayed under the covers until almost 7.

We tried a New Mexican restaurant last night. Nothing in plan at all Also, the food was very bland. One and done for that place lol. Today I am off to my sisters. Hopefully she will make something somewhat healthy. I am cooking a spaghetti squash and some chicken chipotle sausage which I will toss together with smoked paprika and fresh parmigiana cheese for tomorrow's dinner.

I did score at the farm stand yesterday. All apples 99 cents per pound. Guess who has 11 pounds of honey crisp apples in their fridge lol.

Ruth the chili sounds perfect for today
Linda hope you can keep the heat off....mine is set at 68
Cyndi glad you didn't get snow!!!
Morning Beth

Jennifer - I could not resist a huge bag of red peppers for $5. Today I will end up with more winter squash. I just know I will be glad in the middle of winter

I'm sure other winter squash would work just as well, Cyndi, although I wouldn't use butternut because of the sweetness of it. I really enjoy this recipe and will definitely make it often.
