Default Twinkling Tuesday 9/9

Hi everyone,
Second successful day of getting up at 5:30, although I'm not making myself exercise or clean...just making myself get up to get into the habit. I'll do this for a week and then start my exercise/clean regimen next Monday. I'm actually back to doing a lot of walking taking my son to and from school, so I'm ramping up with more exercise than I had been doing in August. Also, my blinds will be installed today so I can do my mini daytime workout - I'm actually pretty psyched for this. I might rearrange my office as well - feel like I need a change!

My son enjoyed his new after school program which is a total relief, and DH's first day back went ok, so another relief. I bought a large piece of furniture for my foyer area, and of course this means that the rest of living room needs to move around too...or maybe I'm just nesting for fall!

Stayed on Phase 1 yesterday - I'm psyched. Going for Day 2. Taking one day at a time this time around...Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow, sounds like a great Monday Matilda! I like the thread title too . What is twinkling today?! The moon sure isn't, that thing is huge and a beacon!

I have the day off . I have lots to do - the cabinet guy is coming to give his input on bringing our 60's bathroom into the present (the pipes are all messed up), a PT appointment, a bunch o' errands, and I guess I should clean a bit. WAIT - is this a day OFF?! LOL...I'll put a nap in there to make me happy!

Our receptionist brought lots of goodies to celebrate September birthdays, and a did try a small piece - but stuck with small! Yay! I'm not perfect on it, but doing pretty well.

Have a great day!

Great start to your day, Mathilda. I must take lessons from you. I am up early but seem to mess around too much online instead of getting at "stuff" that never seems to get done. e.g. two blouses that came from Talbots two weeks ago and just need a quick iron touch-up.

For some reason, the dogs were howling at 2 - maybe because of the big harvest moon? I got up to check them out and actually managed to go back to bed and fall asleep until 6. The new me, maybe? Today I am going to balance Mill stuff with real-life stuff like ironing, making soup and maybe sneaking in to town for some quilting fabric. We are having a Quilting Group fund-raising sale soon and I want to do some Christmassy napkins and a few other trinkets. Maybe chicken pincushions?

This may be the week I start the transition from summer clothes into warmer things. I would love a rotating rack in my closet that I could just twirl to get me into the right season. It's also the time to weed out things I've not worn this year although I need to be careful not to ditch some things that are great on very hot days. I vaguely remember what summer is supposed to be like.

Oh dear! I just started thinking of Christmas. Time for another coffee and a reality check!

Hope your Tuesday twinkles.

Good morning,

I overslept and didn't wake up til 6:30 a.m. which is fine since wfh but no time to work out this am, will have to fit in somehow during the day.

Our Insurance had us hold off on taking car in to get fixed they are investigating the other company stating they should pay....what a mess.

Matilda great way to start the day and sounds like your Monday went well.

Twynn sounds like you have a busy day off

Ruth I have been hearing too much about Christmas already lol. I think I saw on Facebook only 18 Fridays until Christmas hehe

I have to work on my project today so hopefully work stuff will stay quiet so I can work on it.

Tonight is soccer practice and that is it.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning sorry no time for personals as I am a little pressed for time.

Been working non stop since Thursday. Going in this afternoon then off tomorrow and back in Thursday. Like Natasha a pretty pay check will be my reward.....or should I say pay off an over worked credit card lol

Yesterday Pamela was presented with her new shield. The job is retiring her old one as her father pinned it on her shirt in the academy. The job is making it into a plaque for her. It was an extremely emotional ceremony, even the chiefs cried.
I was an emotional blob at dinner with Joe. Yes I did comfort myself with not the best food choices, wine and dessert. The apple cobbler was amazing. The carbs played havoc with my tummy. Back to being really super good

Have a great day

Good morning.

Woke up with a headache today. Maybe my fall allergies have kicked in. Bad timing since I'm going to try another little hike this morning. This afternoon I'm heading to the mall. I have several things to get. One of which is to find a top to go with the palazzo pants I purchased a while back for an upcoming wedding. With my foot issues, I can't wear dress shoes so have to go for pants that will cover my "non-wedding footwear."

Enjoy your day.

Sounds like there were lots of busy chicks today! Hope you were all twinkling.

After work we had a meeting but I managed to sneak in a few minutes of outside time when I got home. As DH said we are about to be "nice day challenged". I have started cutting down the plants that are dying back. I must pick up some mums this weekend since I have yet to do that.

I do have to admit the thought of Christmas approaching has entered my mind. I recently ordered an item to tuck away for a gift.

Have a great evening everyone.
